I remember reading online on an official Behringer social media channel, that someone accidentally disposed of Uli's original synth that he built. That must have been absolutely heartbreaking for him. 😨 At least there is a photo of what it looked like.
I think that as a company, Behringer understands that making music, and the creative desires people have, are not limited to people with deep pockets. And, they don't just "exacto-clone". These days they seem to modernise and innovate on most of their reincarnated gear. Heck- with the announcement this week that the BCR2000 is soon to emerge as the new BCR32 with the Zacquencer firmware integrated, they are doing what other manufacturers should be doing - taking one of their own great products, modernising it, and including/crediting an innovative individual for seeing the added potential the gear was capable of and creating it! What a wonderful time we are living in. Thanks for the video guys! 🙂👍

Hi Synth Samaurai. Good to see you here on Chumley and Bangers channel! I love these guys. In real life, they are exactly as they appear here, unlike a lot of RUclipsrs who are full of self importance.

Well I have the Pro 1, the Pro 800, the Kobol, the Solina, the vc340, the ms101, the cat, the crave, the model D, the pro vs mini, the jt400, the rd 6, the umc1820, my mixer is behringer, as is my sub mixer, and I’m still collecting. Guess I must be an Uli Fan. Oh and my phaser is Behringer as well.

This is a good general overview of who Behringer are, and where they've been. I have noticed that the company over the years--at one point, just like now, all this talk of low-quality and whatnot thanks to their products simply being more affordable thanks to new mass-production techniques. What intrigues me is what's going to happen in the next couple of years with China since things are getting a bit sketchy there, but I have to assume like most corporations that they're planning and acting for that possibility with other production facilities in say India and Vietnam.
All that being said, this makes it possible for people across the globe to be able to afford these once very expensive and unaffordable devices to produce electronic music, and I applaud it. They also use contractor engineers for their creations, all over the world, like the fellow who did the ARP 2500 module adaptations for Eurorack, Mr. Keeble, right there in the UK. Yes, I am an old geezer your age, cheers, and to the critics, nil by mouth.

Hey guys. With all these videos, you are spoiling us!
The Deepmind 12 is a great synth. I think it was designed in the UK by engineers from the Midas team after they were acquired by Behringer\MusicTribe. It might have been a conglomeration of engineers from various companies they bought in the UK. They have a huge number of companies that are respected under their umbrella now, so it makes me laugh when people speak about how bad Behringer is, but are happy to buy a Midas desk, or a Bugera amp or a set of Tannoy monitors, as it's essentially all Behringer now.
