AI can be used to personalise information that one receives -- AI can determine your experience of the Internet. It creates an "information bubble" just for you. This is already being done, but only in a preliminary form -- for example, if you have seen a video on YT then you will be allowed to see it again. However, if someone else makes a search for videos on a certain subject, then that video may not be among those supplied. This can be used to control our perception of history, and the "meaning" of current events.

I love how in the description of the twitter business model, the obvious terms of "advertising revenues" seemed to be avoided during the explanation. When we talk about communications and A.I., we also need to have a discussion about the modern cultural significance of ADVERTISING which is the modern day courtesan to the political and industrial elite, and for good reason... The Cambridge Analytica Scandal quietly died because it wasn't a one-off, it's the new way of manipulating a "democracy" - through advertising consultancies, focus groups, market research and A.I.

But isn’t that how all of technology works? Throughout the ages when something new was invented I’m sure there were people going “We will become too reliant on this new invention, we shouldn’t change.” Luckily those people weren’t the majority, because that hinders progress. With the revolution of the Industrial Age, and machines taking over in certain areas I’m sure there were plenty of people with that mindset. But without that progress, we wouldn’t even be close to what we have today. The largest downside is how much our environment is ignored in the process, if we damage our planet too much for the sake of progress we will eventually have nothing left. But that’s a different topic lol

@Riki Rikin kanayin Good you posted this! I was wondering were all the farm workers from Poland left the Netherlands, there was a scandal about the company that is responsible for giving money if people loose their jobs or become enable to work etc. All the CEO and directors were corrupt AF. But that they were enriching themselves didn't surprise me as much as the fact that, 20.000 people that no longer were living in Holland received a alimony from the Dutch government. Also our farmers were complaining and protesting for a long time about the uncertainty the farmers were having. Then came the corona panic. And they started trowing money for country's out of the European wallet. Poland around 20 billion ,while at the time only had 10 deaths. It looks like they are making a big farm from Poland and built the Netherlands completely full with House's, windmills and solar panels. The farmers had to cooperate because they we're standing with their back against the wall. When most of you're workers suddenly leave, you have no other options then to sell you're ground. And then maybe get some ground in Poland.

I think it never will. There is more to man than just matter, that we don't fully understand. AI is emulated intelligence or artificial as they call. It does exactly what it's told all the time. That's why it can't pick a random number for example. Until they sole how figure out how to put life into and robot body AI will always be heartless and only an emulation of human behaviour

I live in Japan and have worked with many medical doctors. In the main, the opposition is not to vaccines in general, but to specific vaccines. Gardasil and the MMR vaccine are two examples. As for Gardasil, would you rather have research studies with small or medium-sized sampling? Wouldn't a large sampling be best if all? Well, Japan is taking a wait-and-see approach to Gardasil. The rest of the world is that large sample. Not all countries have to start at the same time, do they? Japanese women live a long time! As for the MMR, there are legit safety concerns about this "vaccine cocktail". As such, the DW video is the same fake news iit purports to speak about.

AI has not lead to less people being killed, or more humane "surgical warfare". This is another parallel that is an official, or at least a consensus, of both popular and expert opinion regarding A.I. But it also applies to business systems generally, profit systems, or class systems, which are harder to define but can easily be demonstrated and recognized; and the new social systems specifically (mentioned elsewhere in this video.)
