If Science and Engineering are so important then why is it that so many engineers and science graduates decide to shift careers and enter other fields such as govt sector, banks, media, entertainment even politics. We have a huge supply of engineers which in return is negatively affecting them, because too much of anything reduces its value.

India as a nation needs sc and comm graduates for few decades now for rapid growth .Even Uk is pushing for tech students .Then may be we can think about humanities .
Never say "graduates".. say "enthusiasts". Most of the tech graduates are running behind administrative jobs either immediately after graduation or few years after working in the industry. We need people who can dedicate a big chunk of their life remaining in tech industry and contributing to it.

कुछ भी, दूसरो(अमेरिका, जापान) के जैसा बनना है बस इसका भाषण हर कोई देता है। वे लोग अपनी मातृ भाषा में पढ़ते है वा काम करते है। इसलिए भी वे उस स्तर पर है। पर हम अपने ही देश में अपनी मातृ भाषा बोलने पर अपमानित होते है। इस विषय में तुलना नहीं करनी इनको। वैसे भी हमे ये हिंदू मुसलमान दलित आदि में विभाजित किया भी किसने है उन्ही अंग्रेजो ने। जिनकी गुलामी की भाषा(अंग्रजी) को बोलने पर विद्वान समझा जाता है। बस बकबक करनी है। जो स्वयं का सम्मान नहीं करता, उसका कोई सम्मान नहीं करता। गुलामी वाली मानसिकता से अपनी मां भारत माता का नाम तक बदल दिया, नया नाम रखा गया India। क्या होता है ये India?
