Love your content, guys. What I would do if I had a funnel that looks like a cylinder is to think how I can reach more people in the top of the funnel, because clearly I'm only reaching people that already like me somehow.

While I was studying this video I decided to breakdown a funnel that I just went through.
It started with a great, super relevant piece of content. Which caused me to click a link for a quiz(forking over my email). Did the quiz, got the results. enjoyed the experience and was hooked but then that was it.
I feel like the provider failed because as soon as that next email comes im going to unsubscribe but will still follow their socials (but I already did that!)
I decided that their issue was probably that I wasnt offered any progression immediately afterwards/during the quiz phase. I came up with a what they should have done but what are your thoughts on this?
Was giving away their only cards during a brief stage 2 their mistake?
Or did they succeed because they got my email and a follow?
How do we give offers and avoid the "thanks... Goodbye!🕺" thought train of a customer?

What's the difference between creating a catchy hook to maximize attention without worrying about the sale, and clickbait?
People are pretty savvy and clued into and turned off by clickbait. How are these two things different, and how do you do one without the other?

They're pretty much the same, and yes, both are losing their effectiveness due to their obvious coercion.
No different than your first impression when meeting someone.
Nobody likes to be told what to do (or like), but people generally love to decide for themselves what something is and whether they like it.
The key is to let the art be the art, and let them decide.
Today, merely posting on social media can be seen as thirsty and needy by most people - the opposite effect you want if you want authentic connection.
I prefer to flip it completely on its head by having ZERO social media presence.
Doing everything through ads and an email list.
Staying behind the scenes, socially speaking, and placing the focus on 'the connection between the music and fans..'
Less focus on "trying to find ways get attention" (ie the clickbaitness of marketing in general). More focus on authenticity.
Everybody (fans included) think most of what most artists do in the digital marketing space is awkward and forced, but few will ever admit it.
