To say your pieces are beautiful, gorgeous or exquisite are simply not doing them justice! I can't think of the right words to tell you how I feel when I see them. They are on a totally separate level than any other potter. I've watched every video and been awed by your genius ideas of designs not including the glazes! Oh my goodness sakes! I could continue to write a whole book on just pictures of your work! Thank you for including us in the making of all your wonderful pieces! I've sat glued to my chair watching it all unfold. Please, please make more videos.
Gorgeous work. And many, many thanks for taping it all and showing just how things are done - from the making of the pots to showing how you make and attach the small moulds - acorns, half balls, leaves, etc. Very educational and inspirational! Everyone wishes they had your talent. Thanks you again for the videos. Hope you'll keep making them, and keep the details in.
Walking in to a secret place in Nature! The form, size, glazes made a magical place that I will visit often! Thank You for sharing your gorgeous work ! Hat's off!
C'était des grands moments de plaisir de vous suivre et regarder l'évolution de votre magnifique travail. Merci de nous avoir laisser partager votre vie de cette façon. Sincères salutations Grit
Had a bit of insomnia and watched all 8 in this series! Wonderful evolution of how your creative process and work flow evolves, THANK YOU for sharing! I just love experiencing the evolution of your work and hearing how your thinking and planning changes over time. You are the model of "Don;t Panic!" as the show deadline nears! Beautiful work and teaching style. Keep it up! Thanks again!
I have really enjoyed following you on your journey through your video diary, thank you so much for sharing this with us. Your work looks totally amazing.
Genius of color. its so hard to guess what color something is going to turn out when glazing you do such beautiful work. my favorite is the honey and green/blue pot with all the buttons.
I love your work Kate malone, love your videos. I am going to show them to my ceramic High School Students here in California. Every year our class has an assignment to make a Nature Inspired piece, your work inspires me extremely as an Art teacher. I will pass it on, and I will buy this DVD of your techniques.
i am so sad that these diary videos have come to an end - it has been a pleasure to follow you on your journey and very inspiring too. Thank you for being so generous of heart and spirit.
Your videos are an inspiration for me to move "back" into some larger pieces, I've been stuck the last 20 or so years in some production pieces which have evolved in design but want to go to a larger scale, haven't used the coil process since graduate school. Love your work and design sense especially the glazing, everyone who sees these videos should also be inspired to develop in their own direction, many thanks!
Thank you for this inspiring set of videos. Your pieces are magnificent and I wish I could see them in person. I thought the lidded piece or the secret garden would be my favorites but I agree with you that the woody acorn piece is the warmest. The texture of the work is amazing... Many smiles~~~
I was not particularly keen on your pots after briefly watching the creation of the fern lid here on RUclips, but after coming across this video diary of your work in progress from concept to gallery exhibition, I must admit that I am deeply moved by your work. The forms are so whimsical and fresh, and the inspiration you take from nature is so sharp and clean that I cannot help sighing with pleasure when I see them all displayed together so expertly. Thank you so much for a new perspective!
Discovered your wonderful videos and pottery just today. Watched them all! My first pottery instructor shared everything he knew with his students... he told us "By the time you master what I'm doing, I'll be on to something new" and he was right. My "repeat ware" pottery is just beginning to sell and my "art" pottery is beginning to meet my expectations... for a newbie potter... I also share everything... there is plenty for all. Best regards, Janice
I watched the whole series in one sitting. All I can say is, magnificent! Favorites were "Fern Forest" "Oak Tree," "Pine Cones," and the glazes on the "Secret Garden." Really I just loved everything. Thank you for sharing this.
What a fantastic achievement and such a great insight into the reality of how much hard work, knowledge and complexity is involved in getting work to this standard. You still manage to make it look easier than I know it is, congratulations, I hope every piece was sold, if you’re ever on the look out for more assistants please don’t hesitate to get in touch, very best wishes, thanks for sharing.
Kate.. OMG... I have been married for 35 years to a awesome guy... But if you say the word.. I will leave him for you. I am in LOVE....Lol Kidding of course . I am a artist in Racine Wi. and I know that I need to find my own inspiration and by god.. I have. You!Thank you, thank you so much!!!!
