Hi lover your video. I'm I Ohio USA and feed three kids, myself and a cat😉 and spend $200 a month. So budgeting videos really help out. Have a wonderful day🌻
Awesome! I'm so glad I could help. I think I could do $200 a month if I was in the US, but groceries are more expensive in Aus :) good work with the budgeting!
As a South African considering a move to Australia this is super useful. Prices are obviously different and trying to work out what we can come out on is a serious concern. Thank you for making it easier
Ooh there must be lots to think about...glad I can help. Our prices are probably a bit more $$$ but our salaries comensate I believe. I've got a heap of different videos on food shopping, but let me know if you need any other info.
@@therantingmum7872 Thanks so much :) My husband got a job offer over there so we are busy trying to work it all out... Right now I work and obviously when we first move we will be going from two to one incomes and that terrifies me... As far as I have seen, your meat and alcohol are way more expensive than we can get it here but most other groceries are similar.
Awesome video! Lets be friends!! I have a family of 7 so this would work for us too Id just have to upscale it a little. Thanks for the information. Aloha
Aloha! We went to Hawaii for 3 weeks for our honeymoon in 2017 - loved it! I'm glad the information is useful, double the ingredients and I am sure it would feed the 7 of you no worries :)
Hi Steph, Kris here from Sydney. Just thought I’d say “Hi” and let you know that I do enjoy watching your video’s. I too also meal plan and try to stick to a similar budget as you do. We are a family of 4 with a teen and a tween so the fridge and pantry always seem to be open....lol. Hope your well and your pregnancy is ticking along nicely. :]
Thanks for saying "hi". It can be tough sticking to a budget, but also fun and rewarding. I can imagine a teen and tween would make the budgeting even harder (I teach teenagers, they can eat). Pregnancy is going well, thanks for asking :)
I spend about $100 a week to feed me and my 2.5 year old. Some weeks more, some less. But that includes things like cleaning supplies and night nappies (and random Aldi special buys 😂). I just did a meal plan for the next month to try and use all the bits of got hiding in my freezer so I can clear it out, then hopefully do a big cook up next school holidays again. Definitely save money that way.
What types of meats and meals are you cooking? Obviously if you are eating steak, roasts, lamb, pork etc you will spend more + adding in a few vegetarian options and a breakast for dinner + soup etc can help lower it...if you want to that is.
The Ranting Mum I have my father living with us so he is very traditional he hates pasta and rice his very much a meat and 3 veg kinda man or a sausage on some bread. I’ve been trying to do a lot more slow cooker meals now that it’s colder weather. Besides myself and 9 year old daughter who prefer vegetarian meals all the boys want meat with every meal. It’s frustrating. They all take sandwiches for lunch which is fine for me it’s usually vegemite or Devon sandwiches. And then there snacks. Breakfast for us is either cereal or toast nothing fancy with a piece of fruit of course. We eat a lot of fruit 🍇. It’s hard to please everyone
I spend about 180-200 bucks a week for two adults but that includes everything like toiletries, dog food...ect still too much i think. we don't even buy name brand stuff either, mostly coles brand
We can spend that much for sure. I didn't include the above because I know that is different for everybody. I think the key is buying staples fortnightly and bulk meat + meal planning.

I spend $250-$280 per week for a family of 6. 2 adults. 2 children and 2 teenagers
I think you are doing very well, 6 people is a lot to feed, especially the teens - they eat like horses!!!
You did pretty well considering how high food prices are in Australia
Love the video! Will be emailing you for the meal plan :))
Thank you 😊

Sounds like you are doing a fabulous job. It can certainly be done with proper planning and the desire to cook most meals from scratch :) Well done.
I can spend up to $300 a week for a family of 3 adults 2 kids and a dog 🐕

Oh jeez I can easily spend $100-200nzd a week for 2 people 🙊 some weeks is so bad
I certainly can as well, but I can lower the cost if I plan well as above 😊
@@therantingmum7872 definitely some good tips ill be trying out
