Naming someone else child is a huge honor and Taking the name from a family is double! It showed how much these loved and trust each other!! I love both Mark and Carol there friendship and love for each other was amazing and the chemistry this show had was amazing! This was the first of all firsts! Ways ahead of its time
Ironically, this was almost the same conversation I had with my niece when she wanted to name her daughter after my grandmother (her great grandmother). She didn’t know her name, having only ever called her Grandma. When she learned Grandma’s first name was pretty dated (she was born in 1911), my niece balked, but was relieved to learn her middle name was Olivia. 😂
Wow, how the tabels have turned - Abby helped operate on Carol who almost lost her uterus due to birth complications, years later Abby did loose her own uterus after emergency c-section.
I felt the end of this so hard. I will never forget the first time I was left alone with my twin boys. I felt like someone in charge had gotten very careless. How could I do this by myself? I was so outnumbered. The boys are 25 now, but I can still touch back to that day. It was just for a moment, and I got over it, but the panic was real.
And that ladies and gentlemen is why dr. Green's Legacy will live on forever in the fact that Carol named one of her daughters after Mark's mother. Even though mark has 2 girls of his own.
@@lucerovallejo4039 Back in the days of landline phones, a calling card was a credit (or prepaid) card to make toll/long distance phone calls. If you had one, it meant you didn't have to carry change around for a pay phone, or call collect (which means asking the receiver to pay the long distance charges.) Calling cards were a HUGE convenience when they were created. I loved mine!
Carol and Abby are both so beautiful (still in 2024!!). Such talented actors. OB nurses are literally angels. And Maura Tierney's portrayal is so believable I forgot she was acting.
I haven’t watched this since it first came on and things have changed over these many years. When I first worked in Labor and Delivery, a woman labored in one bed, the was taken to a delivery room to have the baby and afterwards taken either back to her room or to a separate recovery area. Now they do all of this in the same room (unless there are complications). If a woman is pregnant with twins (or more) and has never given birth before, she is usually scheduled for a C-Section. Also the way Carol is holding her hand while breast feeding was called the ‘cigarette hold’ (that’s what I was taught to do) but now we know that that is not good due to increasing nipple soreness and cracking ..... ouch!! They teach the C-hold now.
Abby has always been a kind person. She’s just been through a lot of trauma since childhood. Maggie put her through hell her whole life so she had to grow up faster and look after Eric which actually made her a great nurse and even better doctor.
"you owe your friend here, your future children" - I wish, (spoiler below) when Carol & Doug appeared at the end of the series, that there had been some casual mention of them having a son, named Mark [maybe something worked in, when they mentioned the girls' spelling test (I think it was?), something like, 'and Mark's still not done with his science fair project']

I'm not sure if you're familiar with the show. Dr. Ross was an excellent doctor, but he would go rogue a lot to get the job done. He was consistently butting heads with Weaver (BTW I hated Weaver). He got a job offer in Seattle, He asked Carol to go with him so they could start a new life, She was scared, she didn't know she was pregnant at that time. Later one, Carol saw a family that had an emergency and how much they missed each other then she randomly bought plane ticket to go live and start a life with Doug in Seattle
She called him when she found out she was pregnant, he was all for coming back straight away to be by her side, but, she told him not too. This channel has the clip when she went back to Doug in the penultimate episode of this same Season ( Season 6 ).

A baby yawn is literally the best thing in the whole entire universe!!
I know right? It is so adorable!
No no no...... a baby getting the crawling zoomies..... if the best thing ever....
Nope silent babies are best

Best series on television ever. I watched from beginning to end starting with the pilot, every episode, every season. Loved all of it.
Abby was a joy as part of this episode, and I was glad to see her return as we found out she was a med student.
Mark is so good to her. I love him! 😍 I feel so bad for Carol though.
The look on Carol's face when Mark told her his mom's name was Ruth 😂
Why she had this face?

My grandmother's name was Ruth and I love it. One of my good friends is named Ruth as well.
@@mil8834 I guess it's because Ruth kind of sounds old, like a name for a grandma as others already commented.

I really admired Anthony Edwards 💗

Amazing acting from Julianna!!👏👏💟

Unless the babies are both head down
Speaking as a Dad, one at a time is a big enough challenge. Two at a time? oh boy!
1:40 you can practically see the "Oh, right, I nearly forgot this was a medical drama" on Greene's face.
Wow it's amazing
Прекрасный сериал. Моя молодость. Смотрю сейчас и плачу. Возвращаюсь в свою молодость.
It made me so sad that Carol and Doug didn't make it to Mark's funeral.. I can't imagine them missing it.
Carol are such a good mom. She having a baby twin girls. She named Tess and Kate.
can you please upload the scenes with mark and his father from the radiology report to his cancer ? means a lot to me personally
Do you have the episode where Carol brings in one of the twins to be checked? I don't know if it's the next episode after this.
Those babies could buy beer now.
I love it...
Can you guys stream full episodes somewhere other than Hulu? We can’t get that in Australia
ABC running it again, daytime or late evening
I Like The Name Kate Too.❤
Thanks for the clip! Could you guys upload the clips when Ella overdosed
No
Abby was so much kinder prior to hitting the bottle

I always wish Doug would have a good relationship with ER .
?
And this makes me even more upset that Doug and Carol weren’t by Mark’s side when he died.
Oh yeah. Where was Doug? Sooo romantic love story until it’s crap and Carol deserved much much better. ❤
Tess & Kate
I hate that she would be leaving
Its weird seeing Mark in blue scrubs when he usually wears green scrubs.
