Garret Dillahunt is amazing. Considering his predecessors as "evil Terminators" were Arnold Schwarzenegger and Robert Patrick, that's quite a difficult task to live up to.
He actually plays an alternate version of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Although less body building, in the TSCC it is shown he starred as Conan the Barbarian.
Good actors, but obviously bad director and bad script. The show had potential at first, but soon it turned into a typical "monster of the week" type of show, which doesn't have place in Terminator universe.

The first 2/3s of this show were so good, but as soon as Cromartie got taken down, the show went straight down the drain. Yes it's sad the Sarah Connor Chronicles fell victim to something very common . The Directors and Scriptwriters changed many times and so the series was not filmed in episodic sequence also a new Terminator movie was on the horizon and TSCC was suspended. What fascinated me was the relationships between the terminators themselves and when humans stood near to the terminators I felt like shouting my God ! run away from it !
A lot of good gear in this series, which could have been as big as "The X Files" if they had chosen to back it. The terminator- girlfriend gimmick was a masterpiece.
Fun fact. Should this take place in Russia the "police" would still win. They would come in BTR or similar APC with heavy stuff, and even if it would take out half the street alongside they would stop it.

Terminators are supposed to be infiltrator units. This is why the T-1000 was more believable as one. He could shapeshift into just about anyone. It chose a form that would make him easily trusted and able to get into places most humans wouldn't without making a scene or be questioned. And didn't necessarily just go around haphazardly assaulting and killing people and even then could get away with it easier by choosing a different form. The thing could rise up out of your floor, or come at you from your bedroom mirror. These other models, the second they started assaulting and killing people the more attention it would draw to itself and make it harder to achieve its mission. Sky etc really should've just sent T-1000's back exclusively.
There is a reason Skynet didn't send T 1000s back all of the time. They had the potential to gain sentience, which Skyent saw as a threat. They could turn on their creator and refuse to do their mission, like what the T-1001 from this series did. She up and went "F@ck this noise, imma do my own shit." And left for the future to do her thing with John Henry. At the end of the second film, I'm pretty sure it was mentioned that the T 1000 had begun to gain his own personality and sentience. He was sadistic and cruel, spending his time torturing Sarah to get information out of her instead of just simply killing her and taking her identity. But I dunno, I just saw some shi and thought it was accurate and an acceptable reason for why things happen.

Was too high a risk that was found out later when different t1000 stopped following orders. There was some deleted scenes in this show that talked about how the cpu is set to read only. They are not allowed to write new data / Learn There was also (if I remember right) deleted scenes in the movies that talked about this for a few seconds. Too many terminators have been reprogrammed.. Skynet later on are made the cpu of the terminators burn out if anything opens it or connects.
@@thedeadant6559 Na, you're pretty spot on The T-1000 in Terminator 2 was definitely forming it's own personality, it actively choose to smirk and wag it's finger at Sarah when she ran out of ammo then slowly approach to taunt rather then just run at her and John to finish it's objective. It also killed that truck driver during the final chase purely to kill him, it had no objective reason to do so.

When the T-1000 kills the hospital guard after disguising itself as the floor, it looks fascinated, it cocks its head and gazes. When it kills the step father it becomes annoyed, then admires its knife arm. It's not just a prototype, it's a child, it was first activated and tossed through time. The T-800s were trained in-house, set to read only and sent on their way. There was no time (har) with the T-1000. Boot it up, set the target, toss it and hope, it was skynet's hail Mary. No read only, maybe it doesn't even have a setting for that, as it has no CPU (technically it has a DPU), just get on with it. With the innocent cruelty of a child with a magnifying glass.
With hindsight, this show has aged well. That this show was cancelled, then we got crap movies in later years. Blahhh. This show should have been given a big budget and become the next movies.
I think Cromartie should have been a main villain in the Terminator movies. He just would have fit in with the greats like Arnie, Robert Patrick and Gabriel Luna (like or hate the Rev 9, he was still a really good Terminator).
Scenes like the snowglobe make me wonder what kind of safeguards did skynet build into the infiltrators it sent back to stop the machine from learning enough to cause it to question its purpose.

The machine is curious and smart but in a stupid way it needs to learn about humans. What if one was to reason with it in a way that it would wonder about that human like he did with that real cop he was pretending to act like, enough to keep him or her alive just to learn, humans made them first wouldnt it be a rogue AI just called skynet. Itd be a sorta living consciousness but it could lash out like anyone having tantrums, but also maybe not understood itself too it'd be confused but it has nothing to gain by externinating the human race. What would they even do next if that happened, rule is they can't self terminate themselves but dont mean other machines can't do it for them.

So the T1001 obtained Cromarties body to use for that purpose. Thus, Cromartie and John Henry were two different units. In this scene, when Ellison lowered his weapon and gaze, Cromartie reasonably calculated him as a non-threat.

Such a shame this show was canned I thought all the actors did great performances… even the scene with the black FBI agent and the other female agent (sorry don’t remember the names) he was really good but even the female actor, pretty much had one scene, she was quality too. This had so much potential for an epic story arc coming togetherness
