In my opinion, you have already idea of what kind of company you are working, at the time you passed the interview. Based on the general interview, i'm sure they open up the company activities, and that will add up your ideas. Second, before you start, ask your HSE Manager the HSE PLAN, and from HSE Plan, you can search the Risk Assessments of your company activities, and you'll find all hazard identifications, tools and equipments, PPE, PTW, etc. that they are going to used and required control measures from each identified activity hazards. Therefore, it will give you more ideas from your fresh start and as a aspiring HSE officer, and i'm sure it will definitely help to your actual walk through inspection, and so on.

Sir, hindi ganyan ang pagexplain ng hazards identification. Generally, you have to explain the different hazards present on the site, not your own ideas like horizontal or vertical which is misleading the hse technicalities.
The basic meaning of hazard stands on anything that can cause harm. The stands of Horizintal and vertical techniques are primarily approach where an HSE personnel is new to the site or work place. A visual line that whenever a virtical or horizontal meets therfore potential hazard exists and could harm an individual. Sample falling object, visually its vertical, moving equipments and vehicles horizontal. Indeed we have two types in Occupational Safety and Health such health hazard and Physical hazard. Mostly physical hazard are commonly found in horizontal and vertical visionary line. These approaches of technique are teach under safety leadership trainings. For a fast learner skills of hse proffesional
@@jakelachicasafetyvlogs5903 Classification of hazards must be identified whether they are physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, etc. by way of observing the workplace's unsafe conditions and if the control measures are met and provided by the production/construction team. Indeed, it is obvious that observing is one of the skills of a safety officer, and therefore it is normal that he should look up and down, which doesn’t make any sense to connect it the way you are defining the hazards. Again, since you are already an experienced safety, as you’ve said, I would advise you have to explain and give examples of what are those unsafe conditions, a sample of physical hazards, chemical hazards, biological, ergonomic, environmental, etc. whether those hazards are present in construction, manufacturing, petrochemical industries, etc. for a better understanding of the new aspiring safety officers.
@@everythingisamazing sir I'm not modifying the meaning or definition of hazard. What I'm trying to impose was the basic technique on where to find the probable occurrence of hazard. On the other hand yes we have biological and chemical etc. Like in petrochemical Oil and gas Etc. But commonly those exposure are rarely occurred somehow it is none vessible. And mostly none vessible are rare in the incident occurrence incompare to vessible hazard that most likely create fatalities.
@@jakelachicasafetyvlogs5903 I’m not saying you’re modifying it, what I’ve said was the way how you teach the new safety officers in identifying the hazards is confusing and misleading as far as hse technicalities are concerned, as you’ve mentioned that hazards could exist only when the two lines are met which doesn't make any sense. I’ve never heard any hse professional explaining like that, and in my opinion, nobody could easily catch up in that way, especially the new safety officers. Generally speaking, we are talking about here how to identify the hazards according to the types on the spot of your walkthrough inspection as much as possible in an easy way. Regardless of which industry you’re engaged in, the activities and operations may differ but all of them are using chemicals, using materials, using tools, and equipment and they have workplaces. Because of these, you can get ideas in which any hazard could have easily been identified. Unsafe acts where the workers are not doing the right thing are considered a hazard and they should be widely explained including the unsafe conditions. The main hazard of the petrochemical oil and gas is the plant or workplace itself where hazards like hazardous gases may be present in the area. Confined spaces as well are hazards. Therefore, risk assessment has to be carried out effectively in order to provide control measures to mitigate the risks and potentially eliminate those hazards. Accidents only occurred if the control measures are not being provided.
