I've said it once I'll say it again, you should not be allowed to write, produce or act in a movie if you have not read all the books, and do not have the author on hand (idk if the author for Maze runner was involved or not but it should still be mentioned, for another fandoms sake)

A lot of the groups were slightly different it was shuck instead of shank and certain scenes or deaths played out drastically different I appreciate some changes but it was jarring when literally the whole language of the Glade was wrong in the movies. Its like if O were to just start saying Japenese words without any meaning

And I guess that could be seen as a noble sacrifice, but to me it was kinda like Newt turning away from everyone. He didn't want to kill himself until Thomas came to the crank place and Newt would have wanted to kill himself than knowing that he killed one of best friends. I also remember the note Newt gave to Thomas being much much shorter than it was in the movie. Like it was two lines. And even with the acting in the movie, you can see the regret and shame in Newt's eyes. You can see how Newt is trying so hard to not kill Thomas. Or, that's how I see it. I remember going to see this in the theater. And I’ve never seen any of the other Maze Runner movies except for this one and Newt was my favorite character so when he died I seriously started crying.
That was a stupid choice I mean right next Teresa will die so the dramatic scene would be with her ... and also the letter scene could be done from her... newt death was unnecessary mostly because at the moment he knew his blood could save everyone..

Newt’s death was the saddest in my opinion. He was the closest to Thomas and he wanted Thomas to kill him because he knew how dangerous he was and didn’t want to hurt him
Part of me really wished Minho was the one to run to Newt & Thomas with the cure, instead of Brenda How much more heartbreaking would it have been that Minho, who is exhausted from the torture, the one who they've been trying to rescue the whole movie, the runner, gets the chance to repay the favor... and *fails* ... I don't know, I think it would've made the scene so much more impactful, especially since the movies are mostly about the relationship of Thomas, Newt & Minho and how much they care for each other. What lengths they go for each other Damn, this movie really came out years ago and I'm still so obsessed with it lol
My biggest flex is never liking Teresa, like I was yelling at the screen when Thomas carved her name into the rock even tho she doesn’t deserve to be there at the end😂 Newt is the best character in this series and his letter at the end of the movie made me cry✨

@@artagle_14 Well, the film/book are memorable _because_ someone that everyone really cares about dies and in a tragic way. If they all lived happily ever after, there'd be no stakes to the story, no threat.
The way Newt fought the virus within him, making Thomas to end this gave him a peaceful death. If Teresa had told Thomas the truth about cure rather than Ava, Newt could be saved. She died in regret messing with everyone in name of cure.
It‘s so heartbreaking that he died mostly because he was scared to die this way and as he stept him self he wispered „thommy“ and that made me cry even more😢

What gets me is that Newt uses the word "Tommy", a word that he hasn't used until earlier in this film. Fun fact: Before the driving through the tunnel scene, Newt says "If I were a crank..." and foreshadowed this moment
I really didn't believe he died here because I thought the team gave him the serum when Tommy ran off and we would see him again later in the haven, but man when I heard his voice reading the letter, my heart shattered from the shock and disappointment and I bawled and weeped like a child. RIP Newt 😭😭😭😭

Ich fand’s maze Runner ist einer der tollsten Filme den ich je geguckt habe und Tomis Nest und Mino sind so nice zusammen und ich hätte mich gefreut wenn newt nicht gestorben wäre.Maze Runner der Film denn kann man nur empfehlen auch wenn er traurig ist

What's even more heartbreaking is when Thomas tried to drag him across the city just to get him to safety. He cared so much! And the "tommy" they snuck in. If you don't cry to this youre heartless!!

What gets me is that Newt uses the word "Tommy", a word that he hasn't used until earlier in this film.
Fun fact: Before the driving through the tunnel scene, Newt says "If I were a crank..." and foreshadowed this moment

What makes me so mad is that they knew Newt was sick before going on the mission. Why didn't they give him the serum BEFORE leaving ???
I really didn't believe he died here because I thought the team gave him the serum when Tommy ran off and we would see him again later in the haven, but man when I heard his voice reading the letter, my heart shattered from the shock and disappointment and I bawled and weeped like a child. RIP Newt 😭😭😭😭
He was my favourite character and when he died a part of my soul left me I’m just now watching it bc I didn’t have spare time too watch it but that hurts
