Yes and No. The Casamance region stretch beyond the boarder to Guinea Bissau were they use Portuguese as official language. Most people use however the Creolo dialect that is a mix of african languages and Portuguese. I have never heard any African sing in either Portugues or Creolo with tradtional instruments. That does not mean that it could not happend specially in more modern music. Ulf
