    There’s another issue as well which is the Oratrice. Lyney claimed he was trying to investigate the Oratrice so he snuck into the room where the core was hidden, but why specifically during the Official Performance?
    He has had plenty of time to rehearse, no? They even constructed a vent specifically for the purpose of sneaking in, so why not investigate earlier? Additionally, we don’t even know if Lyney really left as he claimed. We are taking his words at face value, but once you take a step back and think, it’s almost like we know nothing at all.

      I like to think that he did it during the actual performance because this would create absolutely no suspicion at all in what he was doing down in the tunnel if the show went as planned. If he did it earlier, he might have been found out. However I do find it strange how he only needed ONE MINUTE to investigate it. Like what could he do in that room that it would only take one minute during the countdown? Unless I'm just looking too much into it idk

      My guess is the construction of the vent are being monitored by Fontaine authorities and Lyney being a Fatui is supposed to be a secret so it'd be weird if he suddenly vented in the middle of the construction

      Lyney is essentially a spy, I really don't think he is as innocent as he looks. But if the end goal is to expose the prophecy to the people of fountaine, i would say mission accomplished. I dont believe its for good either like lyney says the intention is.

  • @runelt99

    The only part I'm suspicious is how Lyney went under to look into the oratrice, heard a voice and left due to being shocked. I don't buy that. A person on Reddit gave a more elaborated version where Lyney did something to force it to give guilty verdict to targaglia. After all, this isn't the first time a Tortellini gets screwed over by scheming from another harbinger... The plot is to make people of Fontaine lose hope in the concept of justice.
    On your theory, I think Oratrice was given target not a Childe, Tartaglia, but as a fatui harbinger. And my guess is that 'the father' is the one who kidnapped Halsey.

      Maybe "Halsey" is a fake name for Arlecchino as well. Or Halsey was also a fatui's ally, so she was ready to disappear for a while. But the last one wouldn't make sense, since they would have to check on her family, her house and records to check who the "real halsey" was. "Halsey" might never even exist, that's why I thought of Arlecchino

      i disagree with your last part of thinking, you said "the 'father' is the one who kidnapped halsey". if she really did that then it doesn't make sense why she would save lynette when she was sold to a random npc. Lyney himself said that when he arrived he saw "father" who saved his sister lynette. I am free to listen to your thoughts.

      No, I think it's much more likely that either Fatui do something to her... Or that the writers forgot about her, LMAO.

    When "Halsey" went missing, the Gardes claimed that they had investigated her house, social connection, etc. However, we never knew if they are actually "investigating". Somewhere in the story, Navia states that the Gardes was heavily infested. While she might refers to the Sinthe goon, I like to believe this could also be true that some Fatuus also infested the Gardes, especially those wishing to save Fontaine from the prophecy. So, my hot takes is that the "Investigation" could be altered by some people in the Gardes. That's why the information of "Halsey" seem to be out of place. As other proof, we did see how easily the Gardes brings "Fake evidence" as seen in the one that states he found primordial water in Lyney's belonging during trial.

    • @derp_dragons
      @derp_dragons 9 месяцев назад +9

      If that were the case I think they'd have brought that up in the second murder-case because by then it would have all been resolved. Also, even if the guards actually didn't investigate, you'd think that the first trial made enough news around the city that Halsey or her relatives/friends would have come forward to point out that she's not, in fact, missing.
      So, it's either like CatWithBlueHat stated or Hoyo unintentionally created a plot hole.

    • @Emulcool
      @Emulcool 9 месяцев назад +2

      I believe "Halsey" exists since it was known that she had a "creative block" she might just have gone way fruther than the city to solve it. it's much easier to just fool one artist to make her leave the city than to create an entire person out of thin air. I also don't believe that every information from the guards is innacurate since sucha mess wouldn't have gone past neuville since he does review the cases and it would create inconsistencies. Also since liney and linette are playable and confirmed part of the fatui , i consider them to be lyers but not malicious ( like childe ) thus their stated goal should be fine too.

    • @JustASunflowerSeeD
      @JustASunflowerSeeD 9 месяцев назад +1

      even if the gardes did a fake investigation, the real Halsey should have heard about what happened and came forth as not missing, or maybe one of her friends or family who heard her ticket was stolen (since if she lost her ticket, she would have probably vented about it to someone, the show was a really big deal). the fact that Halsey never showed up during or after the trial means she did disappear.

      Right? As somebody who has twisted her ankles 3 separate times, I call that BS because I can confidently say that if he had indeed twisted his ankle, he wouldn't be walking within an hour or so after twisting it due to the swelling, much less doing all the stunts he did the next day.
      You can usually walk for a bit immediately after the pain subsides when you twist your ankle, but as soon as the swelling starts you won't be able to move your foot without pain, much less walk it off like that.
      Usually you won't be able to walk again normally for some 2 days. So either he'd be limping due to the pain if it wasn't too bad, or he would've needed a cast if it was particularly bad. It would've been VERY noticeable, particularly because even in smaller cases you'd need to wrap your ankle to give it some support and it's recommended that you don't walk too much.
      There's absolutely NO WAY that Lyney twisted his ankle and was just walking it off normally the next day, climbing through vents and up ladders.

  • @felyndiira
    @felyndiira 9 месяцев назад +269

    I never trusted Lyney, especially with how he took advantage of his magic trick to sneak through the vent to the Oratrice. He obviously knows more than what he's telling us, and like many of the other posters I wouldn't be surprised if he tampered with the Oratrice or had additional directives from Arlecchino.
    I think Hoyo took the "don't tell, show" criticism to heart, though, since Fontaine's world quests are also much more indirect than other regions. Most other world quests are self-contained and had pretty obvious plot points/history, with maybe some extra backstory hidden in books and interactables. Most of Fontaine's big world quests are very fragmented and you don't really know what's going on until you weave every world quest together, at which point they suddenly reveal the entire history of the nation during the cataclysm.

      Yes, the new area new 'tour guide' world quest approach in Sumeru got old fast. Two were connected because of Jeht, but other than that every world quest felt like its own short story, whereas Fontaine world quests feel like chapters of the same book (or maybe an anthology of interconnected stories). And some, like Ann's and Seymour's stories will even be continued in later areas!
      The quests also don't feel quite as handhold-y regarding exploration, which was one of my biggest complaints in Sumeru. To see almost every nook and cranny of the region you just had to follow the designated tour guide in the form of the local world quest, and afterwards you were pretty much... done.

    In his Story Quest when Charlotte ask him about the The Phantom Wiesel performing in front of the Opera House, he said he was angry (which honestly seems like unexpected yet believable answer, he seems genuine enough).
    But later turned out, he's the one who sent the letter.
    With that, it could mean that he pretended when he said he was scared when the traveler ask him later after the incident, since he may already planned everything out already.
    PS: I just remember when He asked Liliane to enter the box, he said don't try to move so much or you might teleport to the Fortress (the Prison) and Liliane said ok.. nervously. I don't think it's a coincidence that he suddenly said prison of all places to the seemingly coincidence thief in disguise. Thus, streghten the point of this theory.

    Lyney and Lynette most likely have good intentions for what they are trying to accomplish, but Lyney (or the Knave) definitely controls the stage (or tries to). Lyney and Lynette's backstories show that both are highly capable agents. For two vision holders who couldn't capture a small-time pickpocket, it was suspicious from the start. I'm glad the story improved so much with Genshin.

    I started to think about this after the trial against Lyney was over. I didn't think of it during the trial but when the real Halsey never showed up afterwards I started getting suspicious. I had unfortunately heard the leaks about the siblings being with the Fatui before the quest, but even without that I wouldn't have trusted them. And everything afterwards only deepened that mistrust. Another thing I thought about while watching this video was Childe's sentence. The Oratrice disagrees with Neuvilette for the first time in centuries and sends someone to prison. And not just any person, a Fatui harbinger. And that just so happened to take place right after a know Fatui operative broke inte the baselent of the Opera Epiclese to investigate the Oratrice? Sure. While Lyney claims he never completed his objective, he has told us far more lies than truths so far. Maybe this was all a ploy to get Chidle inside the fortress of Meropide for some yet unknown reason. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

    there was also a small part at the beginning where we ask lyney how the box trick works, and he seems reluctant to tell us their magician's secrets and lynette convinces him by saying something like "oh it's too late to keep secrets now." but after you find out they were lying about the entire vent plan, which means they were already lying to you during that time, basically putting on an act of lyney being reluctant to reveal their tricks and lynette "convincing" him to, to get the traveler to feel like they truly were being open about revealing all their secrets. that makes me feel like they really are capable of deceiving and manipulating the traveler in a long-term scheme.

Halsey being one of dissolved girls is also possible assuming she got dissolved shortly before the performance and her disappearance did not become public knowledge yet. Seeing as while getting the ticket to the traveler, lyney went alone and we were left talking with lynette, he couldve done that this time. All liliane should do is just show up and give the reception the name she and lyney decided beforehand (halsey)
      Edit: im sleepy and my mind is all over the place. All i wanna say is that, eventho they dont give the ticket during the time at the harbour, lyney have the chance to also give the traveler and "halsey" a ticket. Since Lyney had a lot of time to rehearse but didnt sneak into the oratrice room, it could be a writing mistake or is a hint on how the oratrice works.
    Maybe the oratrice doesnt produce power based on the "peoples sense of justice", but rather the spectacle of a show. Thats why the oratrice was "talking" during Lyneys show: Power was being harvested at that time.
    So if it is proven that the oratrice only talks during a court case and show, it is clear that the oratrice doesnt rely on justice to produce power. It prioritizes the spectacle over upholding justice which is a clear problem in this nation.

There's also the fact they never explained the trick where Lynette was dissolved and reappeared on stage (they might've used someone else for this trick and dissolved her, and got away with it, or used another form of body double) there's also the fact that the fatui are not beneath using darker methods of doing what they believe is the right move, including say... researching by dissolving young women or endorsing it and working with the ones doing it. It's true that Lyney and Lenette's goal is to impress Arlecchino. However, we cannot overlook the fact that Arlecchino's objective is to impress and serve the Tsaritsa. As @CatWithBlueHat suggests, the entire situation is likely an orchestrated act, driven by the ultimate aim of acquiring the Hydro Gnosis. In this scenario, the Traveler serves as a significant barrier that must be overcome. So 'Stopping the Prophecy from Happening' could very well be an act to fool the Traveler!

    • @Alcadria

      I doubt stopping the prophecy is an act. Most instances of lore regarding Arlechinno the Knave have stated she is one of the more kind and humble Harbingers. She may very well be concerned about the prophecy, as she is a Fontainian native and thus will be a victim of it herself. She doesn't have to lie about that and its clear the twins weren't lying when they said she intends to use the Gnosis before handing it over. i’m so glad to see someone pointing this out, and i think that the traveler pointing out that they’ve been caught up in this type of “scheme” before adds up with how cold they acted toward Lyney and Lynette after the defense was over. i’m almost certain that the traveler can feel that somethings up, and they aren’t willing to give Lyney and Lynette the benefit of the doubt.

    Going with your idea that Liliane is potentially a member of the Fatui herself, Lyney could've simply checked whether the Oratrice was accessible from the room below. He'd then continue the show, and during the trial, he purposely withholds information while Liliane observes the Oratrice's reactions to the back and forth. This would help them understand its operational structure, andgive them the means of manipulating the Oratrice into declaring Childe guilty on purpose. This, in turn, would allow him to infiltrate the Fortress of Meropide, either to establish contact with key individuals stuck there, or to get closer to Wriothesley, another important pillar of Fontaine's justice network.
    To this end, I'm also willing to assume that Childe gave up his vision because he knew he could be spied on through it, or maybe even fall under someone's control. He likely started the fight at the blacksmith to test this possibility specifically, and also rope in the Traveler on the way.
    Really, with the foundation you laid out, things truly are a bit too convenient. That said, it's also kinda easy to spot ghosts where I want them, since EVERYTHING has the potential to a conspiracy, and I don't have enough tinfoil to keep going like that throughout future chapters.
    Either way, fascinating discovery! And thanks for putting it all together coherently!

    The camera shifts to Lynette looking sideways. She looks genuinely sad telling us about their tough childhood, but when Lyney tells the traveler, that the knave is their savior, she gave us this weird thinking, hiding something look. It's as if she knows Lyney made it up.

    One theory i have is that Halsey was indeed disolved by Marcel, a man cautious like him would never pick a random person, so my bet is: since he was at the magic show and the trial, he imediately found out that the target was not the real Halsey, so when he left the courtroom he disolved Halsey off-screen to prevent her from ruining his plans by showing up and proving Lyney's innocence.
    The elaborate Fatui plan doesn't make much sense, firstly because they didn't know Furina would show up to meet the traveler, not even when the traveler would show up since it was one of Furina's spies who told her, and even if she does not seem that smart we know she was good enough to find out the twins' secret affiliation.
    Second because if Lilianna was indeed an orphan then Furina would have discovered that the same way she found out Lyney and Lynette's identities.
    Third: they couldn't know if Navia would be there to help catch Lilianne, or if the trial would actually end with their win.
    Finally: if they wanted the traveler's trust they could have just said up front they were fatui, they had no idea if the traveler would still believe/trust in them after learning the truth.

      Marcel dissolving her offscreen would actually make a lot of sense. That, and the subsequent incrimination and dissolving of his agent in the Gardes (which couldn't have come cheaply, thus being a valuable resource to be wasted as a pawn).
      The artist girl in the vengeful Oceanid also should be taken into account: it is a way to say that Halsey is there, unless it was a random comment after setting up Halsey's entire profile as "up and coming full of potential artist".
      Also, if it is to follow previous archon quests, Furina's gnosis needs to be taken by 4.2 and the Traveler needs to beat Arlecchino's ass by then as well, and since 4.1 seems to be centered around visiting the prison with Childe and Neuvillete becoming doubtful about justice (with only one (1) disagreement of a verdict with the Oratrice, mind you), it seems like the plot will move along the lines of (4.0 -> Justice is not real (4.1) -> Furina gets nerfed from lack of belief in justice (4.2), gets beaten by Arlecchino, Arlecchino with gnosis + vision + delusion gets beaten by Traveler (still 4.2).)

    Another thing that I'm really looking for is why oh why did Childe give us his vision. In the inventory, its one of the unique 5 star item you get like from other archon quests - Signora's Mask, Tainted Blood, etc - which suggests that we gonna hold Childe's vision for quite a while.
    Why did Childe 'lose control' of his vision, and did he simply gave us his vision based on his mere reasoning, 'I don't wanna get frustrated when this happens again in battle'? The item description even says that the vision had lost its shine. Is it simply because it got separated by the owner, or is it because *his owner has lose will in something*?
    The involvement of him in the Disappearance Case was also quite out of blue. Who accused him, I wonder.

    • @_aster_
      @_aster_ 8 месяцев назад

      yes exactly! i was wondering if i missed something because no one seemed to be asking this question... who even accused childe of the crime in the first place? it's so random. how did they have no involvement in his trial whatsoever (at least, not shown on screen) and were not named at all? i feel like that piece of information could be critical to puzzling together everything that's happening surrounding the guilty verdict, but i think it's being deliberately withheld by hoyoverse for now because of that reason - so we can sit here wondering and scratching our heads :')
      if we go off the theory that arlecchino orchestrated all of this (which i think is quite plausible) and given childe's track record of being unknowingly involved in his colleagues' schemes, maybe arlecchino arranged for someone to accuse him, somehow knowing he would be declared guilty (tampering with the oratrice? knowing his past, which might have been detected by the oratrice, leading to a guilty verdict? but i thought childe never told anyone about what happened to him. i don't know. everything is so confusing lol). i think a lot of us are speculating that the fatui needs someone inside the fortress of meropide but i don't know much about its lore other than the fact that it's a prison. just what is in there that requires a harbinger to get imprisoned to get access to it? i was reading some of the other comments and one of them said the gnosis might be in there. i guess as a prison it is already high security, so it could double as a way to guard the gnosis...
      one problem with that, though, is that if childe is unaware of arlecchino's plans, how would he know to complete whatever objective he is supposed to in the prison? is there some sort of messenger that will tell him what he needs to do? i feel less inclined to believe that. alternatively, maybe childe is in on the entire thing from the beginning, in which case he is an amazing actor. however, i still am leaning towards him not knowing. his reactions felt quite genuine. there is still the whole bit about "it" and the whale and the abyss. i'm interested to see how this will relate to the story in the future. maybe he has some sort of connection to the primordial water?

    I immediately suspected that Lyney was working with the pickpocket, and then again when she showed up as "the victim", but from a character storytelling perspective I think it'd be really pushing for them to have Lyney still be lying to the Traveler about this after the way they had us react to the fact that he is a Fatui in Act I. They'd be having us be upset at Lyney, then allowing us to do his story quest - where we call him a friend and feels like we forgave the initial deception - just to have him still be playing us and then have us forgive AGAIN (because we have to be on good terms with all playable characters). We can say a lot about Childe and Scaramouche, but they only deceived us once - after the truth of their positions came out, the masks were off. They may hide stuff from us (though I don't think Childe has done so since Liyue), but they don't try to use us against our will.
    I do think Fontaine is meant to start shifting the Traveler's perception on the Fatui so we can work with them in the end game, and they pulled out pretty much the biggest gun they could (saving Lynette and other children from a horrifying fate) to set Arlechino in an acceptable light after what we saw of the fate of her 'children' in Inazuma and the chasm. So even if they're lying we'll probably find it was for a good reason and forgive them anyway. But it'd just feel bad to have to go through the same emotional beats with Lyney again.

It is entirely possible that Marcel was telling the truth when he said the disappearances had begun before he ever came to Fontaine. @Pain-And-Gain 9 месяцев назад +2

    The Fontaine region and its main quests are truly unique.
    1- In the main quest, it was the first time that Traveler explicitly stated that they did not want to continue forward. However, we were forcibly dragged into the situation (for the sake of the story’s continuation). Despite this, we were determined to get to the bottom of the issue and clear all obstacles one by one. Additionally, it was the first time that the traveler even after learning that they were innocent, that their goals were simply to protect their homeland, and about their harsh past still had their doubts on Fatuus (Lyney and Lynette).
    2- When Marcel (aka Vasher) was caught red-handed and confessed, he did not explicitly state nor said anything that he was behind the Clockwork Meka raid on Traveler and Navia or that he had tampered with Navia’s drink in the Hotel. Instead, Navia implied that Marcel did it because he was rich and might be the one who is responsible. However, no evidence of his involvement in these incidents was presented nor mentioned in the court.
    3- It would be interesting if Childe’s role in this quest was simply to divert our attention from the main path. Because In Liyue, Childe was also tricked by Tsaritsa and Rosaria, leading us to follow him around while behind the scenes Rosaria knew who Morax was and had even signed a contract with him while Traveler was clashing with Childe.
    Note: Correct me if I'm wrong.

If Liliane and Lyney did work together then how could Lyney guarantee that a random pickpocket would be able to take down cowell? They would have been planning for their first big night in opera epiclese and the day before lyney improvises? Doesn’t really make sense. If liliane was recruited into the plan earlier than the day they meet the traveler then why bother putting up an act to try and catch liliane in front of the traveler? Why give us smth to be suspicious about when they could have just not be connected with her in any way? How could they even have known traveler would arrive at the port that day?

And now with us keeping it. Also on a related note I do remember back in an earlier trailer during the Inazuma arc that we see the traveler drowning in the water with an ominous shadow coming towards him, perhaps it’s the “whale” that tartaglia saw when he was in the abyss?

    An interesting 'continuity error ?' happens during the cutscene where 'fake Lyney' (in reality, Lynette dressed as her brother) exits from Box 1 on the stage about 3 seconds before the countdown ends and then goes back 'in shame'. The inside of Box 1 has a rectangular pink frame on the back (we cannot clearly see if there's a pattern but it seems diamond-shaped), a wavy pattern on the doors and there are balloons hanging (we can see it ONLY for a couple of seconds during the cutscene). The inside of Box 2 - the one among the audience - has a curtain-shaped pink frame on the back, no pattern on the doors and no balloons (we can see it when Lyney allows us to inspect the box during the investigation). And the inside of the Trolley Box - the portion that moves with the spectator inside - has a diamond-shaped pattern on the back inside a rectangular pink frame, a wavy pattern on the doors and there are balloons hanging (we see it when 'Halsey' enters the box and also as a flashback when Lyney explains the trick to us). It was an... interesting decision to make the visible inners of Box 1 NOT match those of Box 2 and instead match those of the Trolley Box (we do know that when Lynette came out dressed as Lyney, the trolley was still on its way to reach the position inside Box 1, otherwise she couldn't have been there - she specifically said that afterwards she dropped through the ladder to make space to the inner box) . At best they should have made all three of them identical to avoid suspicions.
    About the 'true Halsey still missing', a lot of mystery novels have in reality several loopholes if looked in depth. Maybe this will effectively come out later, or maybe it will simply be dismissed as something like 'since she couldn't find her ticket, she left town to relax for the weekend and discovered the ruckus only after coming back'.

    Actually, it just hit me.....why didin't Lyney just put Lynnette up for checking on the Oratrice? She did very little in the "teleportation" act and her parts could be cut. That way, Lynnnette could have checked on it for as long as she wished, or the other way around where Lyney goes in the Oratrice and Lynnette does the magic trick as a whole. They absolutely don't need to both be on stage at anytime durring the performance. nobody would question the vanishing of Lynnette and they would have all the time in the world.

    • @jikannomajo
      @jikannomajo 9 месяцев назад

      Technically speaking, Lyney had the more time to check on the oratrice. Going back, it's Lynette who came out of the box dressed as Lyney on the last 10 seconds when the "first try" of the trick "didn't work." So Lyney could've went on his merry way when he first entered the box at the beginning of the trick and Lynette had to be focused on standby to do the "Oops! I came out of the wrong box!" Lyney act.
      It's all for the show and they didnt expect (maybe) something like this would happen. But if they do, then it's to set both the twins like they're busy with the performance only. It's layers after layers of plan. You may also argue that both of them could've done something together during the first 50 seconds since all the talking Lyney inside the box was a playing pre recorded.

    • @shadowpriest2574
      @shadowpriest2574 9 месяцев назад

      @@jikannomajo No , what I am saying is : they could cut all of Lynnette's time on stage and not fundamentally change the trick at all . Lynnette could have literaly done the water tank escape then explore the oratrice at her heart's content for as long as Lyney would have stretched the show .

    I really enjoy reading thru the comment section. :D
    Everyone has their thoughts about this Archon quest, theorizes about what might be and what might not be, but at the end we all know next to nothing. I mean.. every theory comes with assumptions based on plausibility. But Fontaines story theme of deception does a really good job at making us second-guess about what we think to be true. xD
    So let me join and note what I found suspicious and what I think might happen:
    1. The observation, that we don't know what happened with the real Halsey is great. I indeed missed that one.
    2. What's with the voice in the basement that Lyney allegedly heard? Was it a lie or was really someone else there? And why are neither Furina nor Neuvillette concerned with that fact? Like.. they would have to assume that there are unknown people sneaking around the basement, where the core of their justice machine is stored, but they don't seem to care. They didn't even show any reactions, when Lyney admitted, that he, a Fatuus, wanted to investigate the Oratrice. They just let his comments slide, without asking further questions.
    (It was just Neuvillette that mentioned after the verdict, that there are more things to investigate. But whatever might be the case, it's still an open plot point none the less.)
    3. When Liliane was chosen by the RNG machine to take part in Lyneys trick, I thought to myself "wait? Isn't that the thieve from earlier? So did Lyney in fact caught and maybe recruited her for the trick, in return for not reporting her?"
    I think, and as shown in the video, we can make a case for it. Although I don't agree with Cowells death being intentional, as Lyney seemed pretty shocked when it happened. Also, the Oratrice declared them "not guilty". So we would at least need a reason for why it judged wrong, even if it's known for always judging right (with Tartaglia being the first exception).
    I personally think, with Fontaines story theme being about deception, there is going to happen a huge plot twist that no one is expecting. Something wilde, like the Fatui and the Hydro Archon working together from the beginning.
    I mean... a story about deception that's predictable would fail its purpose, would it not?

    Since we're all here for lore, I recently found something that might peak many interests. I found a certain particular Voice when messing around the Fountain(the one where you submit sigils), I wont spoil it for everyone( I would also want to suggest those who already know this don't spoil for other, thank you).
    How I found the "Secret" Voice:
    1. You would need to go into the very center of the fountain, just walk in pretty much.
    2. Turn down all of your Music and sound effect volume to 0 in game
    3. Turn the Dialouge option to 100, I also suggest cranking up your volume as high as you can (I went max)
    4. Wait a bit and you would hear a familiar voice (I'll let yall guess who)
    Note: The voice repeats quite frequently so do keep an ear out, also it only says the same line over and over
    Throughout the Fontaine quest so far, there is so much you can find more about the country from just spending a bit of time exploring as well as going through sidequest, and the Method i said above is one of many that I managed to find that stands out the most for me

    Another question for me is that why would Lyney go investigate the Oratrice in the middle of his show? Why not any other time? I believe not only he didn’t just investigate the Oratrice, but also changed it’s settings too to make himself not guilty in the trial, which is the reason Oratrice malfunctioned during the second act and represented Childe as guilty, but what if it wasn’t just a malfunction but was still being controlled? Which would lead to Childe being represented as guilty on and being sent to the Jail on purpose for further investigation
    Also in Liyue Archon Quest after everything that has happened between harbingers, Childe found out that he was also being played, so I guess he might have been played in Fontain Archon Quest as well

    I have wondered about the whole blame it on the fatui bit since I heard it, I personally believe it was so they could be tried and found innocent since the people going to the opera house again for the same "play" would be boring even if new parts were added and causing distrust in Fontain's justice system as the obvious bad guy were not the bad guys.
    Also I do believe the twins and Child don't know 100% what's going on and how disposable they are as the trailer makes me think that the "actors" could be easily replaced as the twins seem to genuinely think they are magicians dispite them supposed to be acting as ones while Child is the weakest of the harbingers (by title) so getting a new one should not be THAT hard.

      Childe is considered as a disposable pawn (or trash) by every other harbinger so far, so a plan that incapacitates him would be the same as a plan that ends with fatui skirmisher #194 killed: No real consequences.
      Using the twins as potential sacrificial pawns would be slightly surprising, but in line with fatui modus operandi. They are important vision holder operatives and have near-leadership roles on their entire harbinger division, but for the fatui (and especially for arlecchino) even those may be offered as sacrifices.

    The moment they were called members of House of the Hearth, I suddenly remembered they're Fatui, so I had to remember for myself that don't trust everything they say, from then on I assumed everything was half-truths and a bunch of red herrings. Their intention of saving Fontaine is true, but not in the way of how it is executed. Though as for observing the Oratrice, that's the one I was wondering about. Why the Oratrice? Why inspect it? Is the Gnosis there? I doubt they know about the Gnosis, but it would kinda make sense. Though my guess is that either Arlecchino is messing with them to completely test them, or there is a third party involved. However, throughout Acts I and II there has been a reoccurring theme of another party aside from the accused, but it always ended up someone being within the party. So I am somewhat leaning to Arlecchino trying to make things a bit difficult while also planning to get the Gnosis and prove that the Hydro Archon is more than fallible and unrighteous and unjust, by scheming off of Tartaglia.
