I live in Florida and bought the 3,000 and 2 sets of solar panels to replace my gas generator. I have tried it out on a number of items. I recently tried it out on my Instapot Duo Plus. It works great. The Instapot Duo Plus draws about 900 W max. heating and 60 W cooking, cooked sweet potatoes in 10 minutes. It drew about 7% of the power for cooking. Peak was 900 W, low 25 W. My freezer is old and medium sized drawing up to 150 W but only 7 W most of the time. My Oster toaster oven draws 1000 W when heating, big draw of course for heating elements but that’s expected. I have used it for my laptop computer, charging my iPhone, iPad, etc. It recharges pretty quickly. This is a great value for the money.
Great review! Just picked one up to power my Dometic CFX28 when camping since REI is having a 20% off sale for members. Doing some testing now to see how long it'll run for and it looks like I'll get 48+ hours out of the little Yeti 400 with the fridge set to 39F and an ambient temp of 72F. Will probably pick up a Boulder 200 briefcase in the spring to keep this thing topped up when it's not on truck power.
Thanks for making this! I passed by the Yeti 400 in an REI the other day and wondered how it could be set up with solar; definitely gonna keep my eye on these products for future reference.
Sure hope you are still answering questions I know your vid was put out almost a year ago, anyway I paused the screen when you showed the display ,it 83% and showing full bars on the battery life , mine right now is showing 96% and only 80% on the battery icon🤔🤔🤔 I just got my GZ 400 like yours a and my first test the other day I charged two cell phones to 100 percent , then I charged a smaller batter pack , ran two smal fans , it then read 91% and the battery charge was still on full, any thoughts? Should I take it back? Thanks for your help if you have time🤗🌹
Hey thanks for posting this. I have a question...does it need a controller or the controller is built in and we just need to connect the solar panels directly to the input on the goal zero????
Starts getting filledbfull watt star get lower If your yeti was almost empty you should pick up more wattage coming in On the solar panel once a gets a little shade need to move slow watt come in

Joseph Gomez awesome! Thanks for watching!
Great review. I bought the 400 lithium and could not afford Boulder panel so I got an 8 mm to mc4 connector and bought a much cheaper panel.
Well done

MrHuguinski nope it’s all in one. Just plug the panel in.
Can you add external batteries to the lithium Jety 400?
Is it safe for the battery to plug laptop or cooler while recharging the yeti at the same time ? via solar or wall or from outlet car
Daniel Theriault absolutely. I do it all the time.
