    The reason why I don't use a penetrator mod is because I already have a great biotic combo against armored targets, and I can just take away the shield from enemies(like the annoying Guardians) with Pull. :)

    I've never loved the Vindicator, but often it's about personal "feel". I do better with an upgraded M8 Avenger, which does more damage, plus it's so light you can put an infrared scope on it for shooting through Cerberus smoke grenades, but ultimately, early game I use the Mattock for an assault rifle using adept, then after Omega DLC (which I usually do right after the Citadel Coupe), I grab the N7 Valkyrie. With the right armor and mods, you can get the 198% recharge on the Valkyrie -- has a similar feel and does about twice the damage of the Vindicator, though it often feels like more. Of course, once you get the M7 Lancer in the Citadel DLC, it's hard to use anything else. Makes no sense, of course, considering the M8 is supposed to be the upgrade of the M7, but then again, "Jessie" is special. ;)

      Usually I use the Vindicator in ME2 until I unlock the Mattock and then I switch to that because it's slightly more accurate than the Vindicator and has more power per shot.
      Then in ME3 I actually like picking up the Lancer again. With the right upgrades and build, you shouldn't need to overheat it much at all if you use short bursts and having unlimited ammo again is really nice, especially for slower playstyles where turtling in cover and waiting for enemies to come to you is more viable.

    Overall, I feel engineer is the superior power spammer.
    Tech powers can deal with barriers, armor, AND Shields (which biotic kinda suck at).
    They can also chain explosions.( I.e. overload and incinerate can just keep detonating each other)
    There is also the problem of biotic detonation only being triggered with biotic. (I.e. you can trigger a tech burst by detonating overload with a biotic power, but you cannot detonate a biotic explosion by following up reave with incinerate.)

Years ago on the original edition of ME3, I challenged myself to do an entire play-through (new game +), start to finish as an adept without firing a single shot from my guns, and I did it! As I play Adept in ME3, all the other classes got their own way around shield enemies, but Adept, damage against shielded enemies just isn't enough, the others have a way to instant kill a shielded enemy ont their own, but Adept has to prime and detonate, that's not even guaranteed, Engineer can instant kill every small enemies, with Sabotage/Overload combo(a very large AOE), but with Adept, all the abilities travel through space, enemies have a huge chance of dodging, I worked the way around with manual headshots by sniper rifle(instant strips shields), paried with Warp Ammo, it negates the slower cooldown by heavier weapons, but against heavy shielded enemies, biotic detonation+occasional shots are still less effective than other classes, I run all the build tests through Armax Arsenal Arena, with all the caps against Collector, when facing Praetorian and Banshee's active block, Adept just seems out of moves.

The best shotguns for the squad are the Crusader and the Spike Thrower. Best AR are the Adas Rifle and the Typhoon. The Typhoon is by far superior to anything else in the hands of a squad mate. If you give it to Vega and Garrus they can melt an Atlas in 3 or 4 SECONDS. The Acolyte pistol is best for removing barriers and the best dps comes from the M11 Suppressor. The best sniper is the Krysae and the Javelin for the team. As for Shep, anything can work in his hands depending on your class. :)

      So go ahead and pick Commando if that suits your style. Just make sure you stick to your Renegade or Paragon side. Usually story based missions give you tons of points, so just avoid the ones where you have hard Renegade/Paragon checks until you get enough points for them. :)

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  3 года назад +4

      200 is the max from weapon weight, but the armor’s recharge speed modifier is counted separately. Personally I felt like it was a good choice to make my Warp and Reave that much faster. Power damage did not add much from armor, plus my combos are capable of killing any unshielded enemy instantly, and take down any shielded enemy in 2 hits. Super elites require more combos no matter what, even with the additional power damage. So I felt like more damage wasn’t as effective as the ability to throw the powers faster, especially when my dr is relying on constant Reaving. :)

      @@AKisHerceg 200% on weapon, 30% recharge on your armor, and get all of Glyph's terminal upgrades (I think you can get +20% recharge, but at least +15%) -- Pull and Throw no longer have any cooldown, and warp becomes an absurd 1.5 seconds or something like that. It's at that point, that I usually switch Reave for Flare -- any build where you get Flare on a low recharge, and you pretty much just steamroll the game, but then again, certain squad members are so OP in many situations, you don't need to do anything. Ashley + Garrus, for example, armed with either N7 Typhoons or the Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle + switching the squad back and forth between Ashley's disruptor ammo and Garrus's AP ammo, can solo most of the content on insanity without Shepard ever doing anything but using medigel to occasionally rez them.

      It's a shotgun Infi, and I will use AI-Hacking/Sabotage in the second and third game to confuse and "surprise one-shot" synthetics! :)
      It also works on organics, to overload their weapons, so they can't do anything once I am out of the cloak and blast them with my Shotgun. They also die in one shot. This is the ultimate sneak-hunter build for me! :)

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  3 года назад +1

      @@talizorahvaswiggle5101 Tactical Cloak is kinda broken in both ME2 and ME3. It's like Stealth in other games - always overpowered, since it gives you the option to get out of combat and it applies a ridiculous damage multiplier, which makes this class the best when it comes to completing difficult tasks - like the solo mirror match in the arena. :)
      With the Infi in ME3, the pacing is whatever you feel like playing, because you have the option to play it fast or tactically, since enemies won't even know you are there. You can use Cloak as a sneak attack skill with a Sniper Rife or Shotgun(or even with your Sticky Bombs), or just a momentary damage enhancer as you gun them down with an assault rifle or an SMG. :)

      Not sure I understand you. Can you explain what you mean?

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  7 месяцев назад +4

      Lol. I watched the part, and now I get it...
      It seems you misunderstood what I wrote.
      I was being a bit sarcastic... Let me explain:
      The reason why the devs put extra layer of protection in ME2 is to avoid having Shepard nuke the entire battlefield with biotics. Just like in ME1 where you could lift up a Colossus with full Barrier with a maxed out Lift, and just like in ME3 where you can just have Liara use Singularity and blast everything with Throw or Warp. Basically, it's because biotics are super overpowered, and we can see this in ME3 - this was the point.
      So in ME2 you can't do that, because even the weakest enemies have armor/shield protection, which are immune to force effects.
      Now, in ME3, the mechanics were changed. Now you can nuke small enemies with biotics, because they removed the armor protection(even on Insanity). However, in ME3 they tried to balance this by adding more enemies, and the fact that enemies are more dangerous - Husks can grab you, so you must take them down before they get close(they also no longer die instantly from force effects like in ME2), Cannibals can grow armor layer that resists bullets etc.
      So basically, the answer is: if enemies in ME2 would have no extra layer of protection, the game would provide much less challenge on insanity. And this can be seen in ME3 where you can just non-stop nuke Husks, Cannibals and anything without shields and armor.
      So if I would rephrase the sentence it would be: Do you know why enemies have extra protection in ME2 on Insanity? Because the devs of that game had some foresight and figured you would blast everyone with your powerful Biotics(and army of husks for example would die instantly from a single Singularity). The example to this is ME3 where you can find out what it's like to go against enemies with no protection using your biotics.
      I hope my point is more understandable now. :)

    Using Throw as a detonator makes for faster combos because Throw’s cooldown is very short.

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  3 года назад +3

      I do use/like Throw, but I love Reave more because for that less than a sec more cooldown, with a combo, it also applies over-time damage. Which means that, you can just safely forget about the target(anything up to Marauder) after you detonated the combo, because the OTD will kill it even if you don't fire a single bullet at it(combos with Throw often won't instantly kill the targets). Plus with Area Reave, you have a massive aoe OTD or multiple combos close to each other which will annihilate any crowd. On top of this, you can detonate with it AND detonate it afterwards. So I detonate a Singularity with it and I detonate the applied Reave with Warp or Throw. :)
      Oh yeah... and it also gives 40% dr... this skill is just supremely overpowered! :)

    Its a bit chaotic on the video - whats the order of the powers I need to respect to get the explosions, please? The order changes depending on the energy bar of the enemy (it changes if its armored, shielded or barried)?
    Im in dire need to understand this combo system, getting my ass kicked hard here...

    • @AKisHerceg
      @AKisHerceg  Месяц назад +2

      So, if you just started the game, you probably don't have Reave yet, so let's forget about that for now. You will unlock it later.
      Get Warp first. If you, yourself, want to execute combos, you will need it. Warp is gonna be you main primer(primers set up the combos, detonators make them explode). You can detonate a biotic combo, by smacking an enemy with Warp, then Throw(Throw is a good detonator because its cooldown is very fast). So Warp first, then Throw. This is a basic biotic combo. It works on enemies with red health bar, purple barrier bar and yellow armor bar. So Warp + Throw or Shockwave = massive health, armor and barrier damage combo.
      However, Liara comes with Singularity, and Singularity can also be detonated with Throw(her Singularity recharges super fast). So make sure Liara uses Singularity on an enemy, then you use Throw and boom. You got another combo. This works on enemies with a simple red health bar(Husks, Cannibals, unshielded Cerberus troops). Pretty much the best crowd control you can have early game. So Singularity + Throw or Shockwave = massive biotic combo against enemies with no protection(simple red health bar). You won't even have to leave cover for a second with this one, since Singularity can lift enemies out of cover and then you can just smack them with Throw in a split second.
      Biotic combos don't really work well on Shielded enemies, but you can detonate tech combos with your biotics. If you have an ally(like Garrus), who has Overload, you can detonate that with Warp for a tech-combo. It is pretty devastating against Shield. So Overload + Warp or Shockwave = massive shield damage combo. By the way, once you detonate the Overload + Warp combo, the target can still be detonated AGAIN with a Throw or a Shockwave, since it's under the effect of Warp and Warp can be detonated with Throw or Shockwave.
      Also you can detonate fire combos with Warp if a squad member can use Incinerate(like EDI). This is fantastic against armor. So Incinerate + Warp or Shockwave = massive armor damage combo.
      Shockwave can also detonate a lot of combos(Incinerate, Warp, Reave, Overload etc), but it has a bit short range. At the beginning, all you are gonna see is enemies with normal health bar, enemies with shield and a few with armor(no enemies with Barrier yet). Now you know how to deal with them with combos. :)
      If you are really struggling, pick Vega and upgrade his Fire Ammo to squad ammo(you can respec him freely the first time). This way you will have Fire Ammo. Warp, Throw, Shockwave can all detonate enemies who are set on fire by Fire Ammo(make sure your squad uses fast firing weapons because they have higher chance to apply the burn effect which you can detonate). The game will turn into easy mode quickly this way, since you are gonna do non-stop fire explosions.
