Sorry the outro got messed up but LOVED this film, way more of an action movie compared to the first one. I loved how tense the first movie was though!! Looking forward to seeing where this franchise goes next!!! But I will be checking out the first Predator next leading up to these two franchises combining! 😁 Thanks so much for checking out this video! See you in the next one!
Personally, The only thing I don't like Is alien 3 It just kind of a let down all the others are great films and they really hold up really well but I have to admit alien three was a disappointment At least in my opinion
Alien 3 is next on the list! I have no idea where the story will go and it's a shame if it's not as good! But I'll find out soon!! 😁
@RynooReacts I'm not a spoiler I won't say what's going on but I didn't like the Maybe it's CGI I think they used, but otherwise there are parts of the story I wasn't comfortable with and I didn't like it, kind of interferes with the aliens plotline like it was all for nothing that's all, especially Newt, I'm not going to say anything else about it. I'll let make your own opinions about it.
@@serenitytoepper Seconded. Although, that opinion was more prevalent when I was younger, whereas now I can appreciate it more in some aspects, especially since watching some of Alien Theory videos. I would say all the films in the franchise have at least some well executed idea at minimum. Even _Covenent_ has a great soundtrack by Jed Kurzel, haha.

What will the Weyland-Yutani Suits make of her blowing up the "Nostromo"? 3:04 You are watching the 1986 theatrical version, which left me with a question about Ripley. 6:46 Ripley shows Apone and Hicks that she isn't a front office paper shuffler like Burke, but a working class dog, like themselves. 9:13 Ripley is able to "get close, quickly" to Rebecca, unlike the female Marines. A reviewer of the time said: "Sisterhood!" I was skeptical and when bought the 1990 Special Edition Laserdisc(!), I confirmed that Ripley had been a parent.
Since finding out about Ripley being a parent it completely changed this movie for me (in a good way) and answered some of my questions!! Thanks again for a quick recap 😁
Hey, Ryan! Finally got around to watching this one. Again, apart from the missing outro (I really wanted to know what did you think of the continuity/plot/technical details while comparing two movies.), excellent reaction and commentary! Definitely compelled me to be become your, eh, 24th I think, subscriber! Plus, who could resist the British accent, ha!
Which version of the film did you watch? Because the extended version fills up some of the gaps: for example, it turns out Ripley's only daughter passed away during her 57 years absence which better explains her immediate motherly attachment and relationship with Newt and I believe it is more heavily implied that Burke notified the colonists of the location of the derelict from the first film, which sets in motion the loss of contact with the colony. Burke's character overall has to be one of the most despicable and twisted portrayals of corporate greed ever, quite apt for an 80s film.
Also, I don't know if you noticed this in the editing process but a great visual parallel to this film's tone was how you were indeed more physically responsive, dodging and swiping all around during all the action scenes, haha. Best jump scare: the moment the marines found the first cocooned colonist still alive. Best line: either _Burke is the worst._ or _I was fully confident of her ... until that one hesitation._ , haha.
I would definitely recommend watching all the film in the franchise - each of them has a certain theme, some obviously better executed than others. After watching Newts Tale on RUclips, I learned a lot about what happened before Ripely, and the soldiers arrived to help out. But I do wish Burkes death would have stayed in the movie too. His death in the comic book was perfect justice. But as always, the books have all the details, and the movies leave out.
I had no idea there was a comic so thanks for the heads up!! I wish we had seen that in the movie though! I was waiting for it haha! I'll have to check out Newts Tale!!!
@@RynooReacts There's a guy who does a channel called Ailen theory, he talks about comic books and the stuff movies leave out on. There's a lot more than just Newt's tale, but there is videos on it.
