I had a great time with some musicians from my city! This idea started about 2 months ago when I took a step towards uniting the musicians in my area by writing this paragraph below.

“Hey KC Family! For those who may not know me, my name is Joshua Harrison! I am a 16 year old drummer from Kcmo! To everyone reading this, I have decided to attempt to take a step towards bringing musicians in Kc closer together.
My hope is to form a group chat through instagram or facebook messenger consisting of all musicians that play multiple genres of music. This group chat would be used to schedule sheds, fellowship, share knowledge, find substitutes for gigs, make new connections, share ideas, collaborate and more.
I believe we can do more than just occasionally see each-other in church or in gig situations. I believe that the talent that is held in Kc needs to be shown to the world! Although I haven’t been in the music scene for long, I have become increasingly interested in it, and it’s possibilities.
Having this group chat would make it easy to communicate with people that share common interests and passion for music! With the power of social media, I believe we can make viral videos of jam sessions, sheds, and more!
It’s time to get our names out! My foot is on the gas all of 2024, will y’all join me? If the answer to that is yes, please dm “2024” to @joshonthekit on instagram to be added to the groupchat!

After that, I started planning and created a flyer. (As seen on the thumbnail)
None of this wouldve been possible without the help and support of my musician friends/family. KC has always shown me love, and Im proud to say this is my hometown!
