- I was lucky enough to attend the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 coronation night and as you know the Question and answer portion is my favourite. The Top 5 candidates were exceptionally good speakers so I was excited to see how they would perform during the Question and Answer. This is my Live reaction which I filmed on my phone live from the venue where the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Finals happened.

In my Honest Opinion, for the 1st round of Q&A.. the Crown is just between Pampanga and Makati.. however, based on the Final Q&A, Makati got the Home-Run.. After her Answer, i said to myself, Makati will Win the Crown.. She is Miss Universe Philippines 2023! ❤️❤️❤️

All the girls were very eloquent but Michelle’s answer felt real, raw and HINDI REHEARSED.

FILIPINO word per se is equivalent to many positive definitionS: warmth of hospitality, genuine smiles, generousity & kindness, positive mindset an effect of resiliency & that is Filipino, that is the best we could offer, Brand of being PINOY.
Kaya swak na swak ang answer ni Michelle kase most Foreigners or tourists love not just tortoise color of water abd white sand beaches but the kindness & hospitality of locals. Naramdaman ko yun lalo sa Provinces gaya nung sa El Nido, very warm ang locals at totoo yung pagtulong nila. Most of my non Filipino friends told me that they HATE capital but the gems are outside the city and that is TRUE.

That thing became a bad culture because its sign many are all competing for 1 goal (whatever prize it may be.)
The Asian nations are just as friendly. But they are more polite and courteous than most Filipino societies. If someone just talked about Beaches and Mountains. Both Makati and Bohol will not win. But the 3 other girls just recited speeches they memorized.
Michelle's answer came from the heart and that made her different from the rest...good job Michelle!🇵🇭

From the first five questions of the Q&A down to the last one, Michelle Dee's responses are incredibly remarkable, intelligent, and fit for a queen. The top five contestants were all excellent, and they represented the finest top five q and an in the history of the Philippine beauty pageant.

The difference in the 2nd round of q&a is that the answers of four girls seemed like rehearsed and focused on Filipino traits,. indirectly answers to the question unlike.MdM, on point on her answer and she speaks from her heart. She really deserve to win..
It was Baguio vs Makati for me because they are the ones who have the perfect physical attributes for MU. They both have the exotic and beautiful Pinay face and the statuesque lean and long figures of the recent MU top 3. Michelle has the edge because she has the elegance, confidence, commanding presence and maturity that comes with experience and is more articulate than the gorgeous Miss Baguio. Michelle is a complete and well accomplished woman while the young lass from Baguio has not reached her full potentials yet.
Baguio's answer is succinct, direct to the point and full of sincerity. This woman is so brave to speak up her mind and for telling the truth (1st question).
The stage is beautiful this is the second miss universe Philippines I've watched great show much love from the USA.

It’s interesting that this year they had appropriate thought provoking questions compared to last year’s basic 6 grader questions, suspiciously to secure Celeste’s victory. “ If I had one day to do anything, I would spend it with my muda”

Being part of the live audience last night was definitely a nerve wracking experience. Adrenaline is rushing as fans scream for their bets, our bets. This 2-part Q&A is definitely one of the best, one for the books. All top 5 deligates gave their best, but only one can be announced as MUPh, and overall that night, the stars did align for Makati. Congratulations MMD… Bohol, Pampanga and Baguio , the three of you have been my sentimental favorites from the start. You have done an exemplary job and congratulations BAGUIO for winning Miss Charm and BOHOL for winning Miss Supranational. I know that you all will do excellent in representing the Phiilippines in the international stage of beauty pageant. Lastly, my fellow Cabalen, the pride of Pampanga, everyone had high hopes in you, and you exceeded expectations with your stellar performance. It is not the end of the line for you. Everyone who witnessed your performance last night are looking forward to another shot next year. And finally, Zambales, you rocked that stage like night and owned it big time. Fans will definitely be thrilled to see you as well compete next edition.
This is my own opinion regarding the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 final result. Though it is true that not everyone agrees based on his/her own belief. But
In fairness to the Winner (Miss Makati).
I believe she really deserves the Title for the following reasons. to wit;
1) Preparedness - It cannot be denied that she is physically and emotionally ready to represent our country in the Miss Universe Stage. She is a veteran as she already reresented our country in Miss World where she placed top 12 out of almost 100 candidates.
2) Performance - she delivered flawlessly in all categories such as;
A) Swimsuit - for me wala ka nang hahanapin pa sa body, height at lakad nya.
(B) evening gown - she has the guts and confidence of wearing a suicidal color (Black )gown but she made it looked regal and elegant.
And lastly, the Q and A
The first question for me was to test her intelligence as to how she navigates to arrive the only answer of the question. when she mentioned Quality Education. Bullseye!
Wala nang ibang sagut sa question na yon because the nature of that question needs an objective answer.
With regards to the final question that for me it can be answered subjectively. because you can say anything you want base on what you feel and what you believe.
Miss Makati genuinely expressed her thoughts and ideas convincingly. Though maybe not as eloquent as the other girls but more than enough for the judges to believe that she has what it takes to be a deserving winner for that night.
Yon lang ang sarili kong opinion. Sana supportahan na lang natin ang mga winners. Sana e respect natin ang decision ng mga hurado. We should love one another as our best way to show to the world. Thanks and have peace… Godbless

TOP 5 Q & A
Baguio: A truly brave response. She answered it with honesty and not just to please the majority.
Pampanga: A response with eloquence and clarity. Not only did she answer the question, she made the negative aspect, positive.
Bohol: She used flowery words to make it sound good, but did not address or answer the question at all.
Zambales: Quick on her feet in addressing the question. It was answered but not as strong as Baguio, Pampanga, or Makati.
Makati: The cleanest, clearest, and straight to the point answer to the question.
Final Q & A
Baguio: Her answer was personal. And I agree that kindness is a universal language, but her response took many turns and it took a while for her to get to her main point.
Pampanga: This answer felt she was a bit unsure of her answer to the question. She may sound good but like Baguio, she took several turns in trying to answer the question.
Bohol: Her answer felt genuine and nationalistic. It was clear, concise, and well structured.
Zambales: Although her answer was good, it felt a bit generic and quite a pageantry response.
Makati: I felt like this is the most genuine response from her entire q & a portion of her pageant journey. Similar to Bohol, this was nationalistic but with a personal take at the end of her response. This is the relatability that everyone is looking for Makati.
Overall, in my opinion, the most consistent one in q & a was Makati. Not only did she answer the questions, but she finally became relatable. Bohol could have snatched that crown if she were able to answer her Top 5 q & a just like how she answered her final q & a. It was definitely the best top 5 q & a's I've seen in Miss U Philippines for a while now.
and thankfully, muph finally gave the questions more challenging and relevant, unlike last year's it was just for graders.
In fairness, all were intelligently answered the questions,but if i were to judge really .. i would choose Makati also…

All women got to top 5 for a reason but it helps that Miss Dee is not a newbee of pageants and with the bloodline as well.

In the first round of Q and A. I thought that Pauleen's answer was the weakest amongst. I would put either Manto or Dee in the top followed by Gravidez then Opiaza. In the second round, it's between Pauleen and Dee followed by Gravidez, then Manto, and last would be Opiaza.
With both rounds being nailed by MMD, she is the clear winner. SO I don't get why Michelle is being bashed online. Ang mga Pinoy talaga mahilig sa darkhorse.
I want to also commend Gravidez because the question in the first round was really polarizing but she was able to give a very convincing answer. Unfortunately, she was surrounded by well experienced speakers such as Manto, Dee and Pauleen. Great job also to Opiaza. I am really wondering why she did not place at BBP???

How can others felt so disappointed about the result?, Did they really hear and understand how miss Makati greatly answered and checked all the needed points for the questions. Top 5 answered the questions well, but miss Makati answered superb.

I mean MD deserve the crown. The fact that they are in the Top 5, means they win all the other criteria. In this round, Q&A is judged as basis who will get the crown. They all deserve to win, but they lack in Q and A, that is why MD wins.

In 1st question the judges based on the communication skills of the ladies. Some contestants are repetitive sa kanilang pagamit ng words and phrases. Iyung iba inuulit ang words and phrases na ginamit ng ibang contestant. Sa 2nd question the judges looked for the relevant, sensible and distinctive answer. It is always like that in all international beauty pageant. Being a veteran beauty queen, Miss Makati knows how to play the game.
Miss Makati answered the 2 questions on point and remarkable quotes thats why she won.
