Same as the manga, it got axed which is why we got the half assed ending we recieved. Also dissapointed that the mangakas new Manga flopped sales (which is understandable but the story was unique and not a chiche). Beelzebub deserved better... . . The Mangaka deserved better.

And then when I read the manga, it ends up being a rushed ending. It was honestly kind of crazy when anime committed to fully adapting a manga, and even crazier when they properly ended with good closure.
You can tell that the creator wanted to make a romantic comedy despite Beelzebub being an action comedy, especially in the manga, where more pairings and love triangles are introduced

Well thing is, Oga's friend, Furuichi, is bothering Nene because he wants to date her and she eventually explains that dating its forbidden to the Red tails by the rules the founding member stablished, and Furuichi is like, Really? Give me a minute, and gives a call to Oga's sister, Misaki, who is the founder of the Red Tails, and she doesn't even remember why she put that rule so instantly dissmises the rule over the phone, and all the Red tails are like, WTF we can date now!? while also thinking how is Furuichi so close to the founding member? how does he know her? and start to get really interested in Furuichi.

Those who finished the manga know that even if it aint clearly said hilda is endgame the last chapter shows it clearly oga knew about aoi's feelings and respected them as she says at the end but then left while the last panel shows a picture of the oga family him hilda and beel together

Oga was not as responsive to Aoi's presence as he was to Hilda, even if it was mostly just yelling or getting beaten up (not sure, been a long time since I last watched the anime).
What I find funny also is that aoi leads the mermaid tail a gang of women and it was made and was at 1 point lead by oga's big sister and she even made a rule that no one was supposed to date anyone while part of the group and oga's best friend who knew oga's big sister basically made a call to her and asked if she can dismantle that rule she did and just laughed on why she even made that rule
I always loved how her mind ramblings were depicted as happening in real time and that everyone else reacts to it. To Oga the first few times she must have looked like an extremely airheaded oddball constantly getting off rails.
