The song was written by BM(the tall blonde one) in order to bring awareness to verbal abuse and how our words can hit and cause pain like a gunshot. There's a video of him explaining it.
I love this group. They have 3 rappers in the group. They speak Korean, Spanish and English. This song is about abuse. BM-blonde guy/rapper, singer- he is representing physical abuse. JSeph- dark hair guy/rapper, singer - he is representing cyber bullying. Somin- dark hair girl- singer- she represents media/stalker abuse. Jiwoo- blonde (or white) and dark hair girl rapper/singer represents verbal abuse. At the end Jiwoo shoots herself to killing her love/felling so that she can move on- start new/ -- the beginning of the video when she was zipping up the body bag that had he old self or love in it.
The lyric talk about toxic relationships (Somin the first girl with purple hair, play with camera that represent a lover who's stalking her, and at the end she cut hair cause girls who ends a toxic relation usually cut their hair that means a cut with that relationship), but the MV talks about the power of words not only in a loving relationship but also regarding cyberbullying (J.seph, the black hair guy, with PC keyboards and identity covered by the hood), the words often written in newspapers (BM, the blonde hair guy, with brush and gun), the words that are often heard by the media (Jiwoo, the girl with blonde/black hair, with microphone and megaphone). At the end of the MV, Jiwoo’s gun is made of paper: the last line of the song is "I've bled enough" after a long serie of "I'm bleeding love": the version with scars that has suffered for bad words decides it's enough so "kill" the version who's caused the scars. Each member is playing two versions of themselves: the first one is the one contributing to the pain (the version without scars) and the other version is the one being harmed (the version with scars).
thank you for this reaction! fyi there are 2 women and 2 men in this group - one of the girls had purple hair and the other one had the white streaks in her hair 😊
Just wondering if you guys had captions on? The whole "gunshot" thing makes a lot more sense with the lyrics... the video isn't necessarily straight forward so I could see how it wouldn't make much sense otherwise...
