Same. I think he could be introduce in the second film, adapting Mutant Massacre, with Mr Sinister and the Marauders as the villains. Gambit could start as part of the group and is trick by the villain to lead them to the Morlock hideout. However, after meeting the X-men and Rogue, he realize his mistakes and joins the heroes, with Rogue falling in love with him because they are both villain trying to redeem themselves from their past (obs: I think MCU rogue should have the whole journey from villain to hero).
Kitty and Rogue is another group of those that have to be done correctly when appearing in the MCU.. They left alot to be desired in the fox films. Both of them are wildly competent and great substitute leaders when given the chance..
If they make Psylocke specifically Japanese (as in cast a Japanese actress) I would be so happy because we haven’t gotten any Japanese representation other than the legendary…. Japanese Spiderman 😆 (Shang Chi is Chinese Descent, Gilgamesh actor is Korean) If they don’t I would be pretty disappointed…
Haley Lu Richardson as Rogue would 1000% get me on board, I absolutely adore her in Five Feet Apart and her real-life personality seems perfect for Rogue! I can’t believe I didn’t think of her before now
i think not casting bishop as an indigenous australian is a huge missed opportunity for both diversity, and to further stand out as a member of the cast. it’s too bad that most comic writers and artists seem to ignore a very important part of his heritage
Jimi Bani is an indigenous Australian actor who could be Bishop, as are Aaron Fa'aoso, Mark Coles Smith , and Thibul Nettle . Its absolutely hypocritical how you went out of your way to find an actress you like for Kitty but rejected simply because she wasn't Ashkenazi Jewish, but you had no issue doing the same with Bishop who you yourself described as Aboriginal Australian.
Being indigenous Australian was a retcon to bishop and isn't important to bishop's character like kitty being jewish. He was intended to just be a black future American
I like your suggestions, however I feel obligated to say that Bishop should be played by an Indigenous Australian, especially as they are so underrepresented in media. ATSI people are indigenous to Australia and casting Bishop as with someone of African descent just feels disrespectful. Baykali Ganambarr, Sean Mununggurr or even Rob Collins could be better picks.
To be fair…his background is muddy…he was supposed to be Filipino…I’m not against bishop being aboriginee …however your being rude by just demanding it’s disrespectful not to make him aboriginee when his creator wanted him to be Filipino…
@@ThunderKat2012 the aeta are indigenous people of the Philippines that have ancestral ties to australian aboriginals. although they are extremely unrepresented in filipino media as the mainstream favors mixed/light-skinned filipinos rather than those with indigenous features. casting an aboriginal australian would at least be closer to his character than casting an african american. unless they get out of their way to find an aeta actor that would fit his role to which i don't know any. i blame the philippine showbiz industry for this
@@ThunderKat2012 Indigenous, First Nations or Aboriginal are all correct. Aborigine has not great colonial history and is not appropriate to use anymore.
When you started listing the requirements for Gambit, Austin Butler immediately jumped in my head. I’m glad he was a runner up for you, but he’s my winner.
I would love if The Marvels post credit scene is Rogue kissing her boyfriend and killing him, would be a perfect tease af the end of a captain marvel movie
The casting part of these videos is always great, but I'm also really appreciating the concise breakdown of each character's history/backstory. I never read the comics, so it's nice to get some extra info/clarity on characters that I experienced mostly through video games, tv shows, movies, etc.
Bishop is Indigenous Australian (one of the oldest living cultures in the world), these peoples are already very underrepresented I think it would be disrespectful to not give an indigenous actor a shot at the role.
I’d love to see another (maybe brief) episode of this that’s just a bunch of oddball X-men you’d love to see included at some point, even just as background characters. X-men like Mercury, glob Herman, Mercury, Maggot, or mercury. Personally I’d love to see Mercury, she’s got fun powers.
Not sure if you're on Nebula, but there he's done the Mojoverse, Wolverine's clones and Excalibur. When he does his X-Factor video, he'll probably do another Nebula exclusive with even more fringe characters
Fun fact: Rogue's name in portuguese is "Vampira', meaning "female vampire" or "vampiress" and I always thought it fit better than Rogue. Any x-man could be called "rogue". Blue devil infiltrator? Rogue. Clawed wild man assassin? Rogue. Psychic superbeing that is constantly turning into a villain when possesed by a space-bird? Rogue. But "Vampiress" is something only she can be.
Disappointed that the actors listed for Bishop were all non Aboriginal actors, it would great to see that representation on the big screen, as First Nations Australians are not interchangeable with African American or someone like Eka Darville, who is Australian but with Jamaican heritage not Australian. Would personally recommend Mark Coles Smith as my pick
Anna Paquin’s Rogue is more similar to her portrayal in “X-Men: Evolution”, where she was a teenage goth girl (which came out right before the 2000 film). Both are valid, but I feel like the MCU’s should be more like the 90’s series. Edit: I love Evolution btw, it’s probably my personal favorite of the X-Men animated portrayals, but the 90’s version has some of the most definitive versions of many of the characters. I hope the MCU combines the best aspects of both!
If I’m not mistaken, the movie came out in the summer of 2000 and the show debuted that fall. I’m guessing they intentionally patterned the animated version after the live action portrayal.
Not quite. Despite not having Carol powers, Evolution Rogue was still confident, she was sarcastic and had other arcs besides her inability to touch people, including her journey from member of the brotherhood to join x-men and dealing with the revelation that Mystique was her adoptive mother.
Daisy Edgar-Jones is a slam dunk for Rogue. She hit all of these beats perfectly on Under the Banner of Heaven, and I assume she has a southern accent in Where the Crawdads Sing. Plus she seems to be on the cusp of superstardom, just like JLaw in First Class.
After watching Moon Knight, I'm convinced that the late Gaspard Ulliel would have been a perfect Gambit. The charisma, looks, and physicality was on point.
I think it's reasonable to expand Kwannon casting to 'countries that were colonised by Japan in the periods that Marvel's ninja plots cover'. This gives us a somewhat wider range: Japan, Korea, Taiwan (Hoklo, Formosan, Hakka) and Karafuto/Sakhalin (Ainu) - while still staying true to the character's roots.
50:12 If I may add to this, Eka Darville also played a Red Ranger named Scott Truman in Power Rangers RPM, which is a series set in a dystopia dimension where an evil robot virus has taken over and nearly killed off humanity Just replace Venjix with Sentinels and add some time travel to the story, you got a potential Bishop plot
as someone who was introduced to most of the marvel cast via the super hero squad mmo game, gambit was my favorite based on design and he had a mini game i remember liking.
Honestly the face shot of the two runners up for Gambit I look at them and I see Gambit. Although I know or barely know any of the actors you said for Gambit besides Channing Tatum, who I agree isn’t a great pick for Gambit.
Obviously nowhere near finished with this video yet but these are legitimately my favorite videos on the entirety of RUclips right now. The amount of time, effort, and thought put into each one is *chef's kiss* Although Taron Egerton should be Wolverine
@@biguy617 I mean most British actors can do an American accent. It's not like Wolverine has a specific accent to him as he has traveled all over the globe in his life.
Tbf, he was really only in it for the one movie to give Tatum that chance to come back. He will likely be back in Secret Wars, which I could see being a one time role. I imagine for the X-Men, they’ll want younger actors who can play these roles for 20 years. I wouldn’t be opposed to an older Gambit and older Rogue (since like with Giant Size X-Men they all join as adults). if they wanna go that way they definitely can and Channing would be my pick. But he probably wouldn’t be the best for a 20 year old Gambit.
The whole finding someone in the right age range now kinda of falls apart when you consider that none of these characters would show up till the third or forth x men movie if they handled the roster like you’ve described.

"Kate Pryde is jewish and should be played by a jewish person" "Bishop is of aboriginal decent but lets cast an american. Both are black, who will notice" "Kwannon is japanese. Why not go with a korean tho!" Dude just gave me an hour long whiplash.
This bothered me too. How are you so finicky with religion, but then say "Jubilee I guess should be Asian" when the character is specifically Chinese-American, and say "Bishop can be just any black guy" when he is specifically Aboriginal. And with Kwannon, the race of the character is pretty important since it is directly tied into her back story, but eh let's just find someone who's Asian. I'm completely with you in regard to the Bishop casting, but to be fair, he only suggested a single korean actress for Kwannon amidst 3 or 4 other suggestions that were all japanese or of japanese descent, and his top pick was also japanese.
Agreed on Eka for Bishop. Plus (as silly as it seems) he does have experience acting as a peacekeeper in a post apocalyptic future in Power Rangers RPM as the Red ranger.
I feel like there was a missed opportunity in calling this group the Uncanny X-Men since that is the iconic title for them, granted all the other X-Men you cast before helped make it iconic too. It's when most of these members shined. But other than that, great choices! Love your vids!
Ok, so what I'm seeing here is that Nando's got three entire X-men movies already cast, and frankly? I'm here for it. That, or three concurrent simultaneous X-teams. That's dope.
My first thought when you started talking about Rogue was Mia Healey who plays Shelby in The Wilds. That character isn’t exactly Rogue, but it did let Healey show the range she’d need as a Southern girl who hides her pain behind a smile, who felt like she couldn’t (or didn’t deserve) to love who she wanted, and who could be both cheerful and extroverted and fierce and decisive as a leader.
As a Mississippian, Rogue and Gambit will always be my favorite X-Men. I would love it SO MUCH if they would start with these two as the romantic focus instead of Jean Grey and Scott again.

All I gathered from all that Betsy problem is that Betsy's consciousness is the most persevering entity in Marvel, just can't die and revives itself when absorbed by someone else
If it weren't for the insane coincidence of 5 Feet Away, I think I would also pitch Natalia Dyer for Rogue. Recent star power from Stranger Things + great actress + can handle relationship roles + horror/trauma

For Anna Cathcart (jubilee) I'm so surprised you skipped over her years of experience as Olivia on the PBS kids show odd squad I know it's a public broadcast show for kids but it's really well made and even when watching it I could see the range she had, perfect casting for jubilee
I know you said the X-factor one is probably the last in this series but I would really love if you did the new mutants team. they're one of my favorite comic book teams and are probably my favorite x-men related team ever and would love to see what you do with them compared to what we got in the movie.
If he does do new mutants I hope he gets an actual brasilian actor for sunspot and not any Hispanic/Latino guy who doesn’t understand brasilian culture because it’s so different from the rest of south and Latin America
One time I made a note in my notes app about an X-Men Breakfast Club AU (as if that’s never been done before) and I was reminded of that AU when you got three heroes in. I really think a story similar to the vibe of Spider-Man Homecoming, something to focus on the lives of the teens at Xavier’s, could work with a cast like this.
Love all the thought you put into these. I will say the one point I disagree with you on is Kwannon/Psylocke/Betsy. I'd just split the difference and have one character - Betsy Braddock, who is biracial white/asian, and is half-sister to Brian Braddock (if we see him). Gives you plenty of options on who you can cast, minimizes the duplication of purple hair/psychic powers, and simplifies the backstory. You'd also be able to take the best traits of all these versions and make one great character.
Lana Condor should still play Jubilee in my opinion. She’s still a young looking lady that can pass for a teenager in my opinion. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
lana has spoken out that she is done playing teenager/high school roles and is ready to move on. unless Jubilee is aged up, she probably wouldn't agree to the role
"As close to Euphoria has to a villain," is an understatement. Nate Jacobs might be the single least likable character I've ever seen on television. Elordi is great in the role.
X-men apocalypse has a lot of problems but the thing that bothered me most was that they had Jubilee and Cyclops in the same room and Cyclops (!!!) was the one that suggested going to the mall. Jubilee was absolutely robbed. My pick for her would be Brianne Tju
My pitch for Rogue is Thomasin McKenzie. Terrific actress who can play as tormented (Last Night in Soho) but also it's one of the most charming and adorable actress i have ever seen.
I’ve been watching the Mike Flanagan series recently and I think Kate Siegel would make a fantastic Rogue. Very talented, sultry, has kind of a dangerous vibe but can play sweet just as well
I'm kind of curious how'd you go about actually pacing out these different teams? Would the First Class get their own movie followed by Giant Sized and then a third movie introducing the Next Generation of characters? Would each team get their own trilogy? Or would you just introduce the members of the newer teams little by little? Personally I think First Class and Giant Sized could at the very least get two movies each.
I like Jacob Elordi for Cyclops as I haven’t really seen him turn on the charm (the charm I’d imagine Gambit would have, maybe some glimpses as Nate Jacobs) and only stay in that stoic range but I guess Gambit works too. I really like Lilly James for Rogue as well! Channing Tatem has always seemed more like a Jamie Madrox (maybe even Havok for the himbo-ness) to me than Gambit. And Maude Apatow would be a perfect Kitty!!! For Bishop, it’s kind of a meme but Method Man would be a great older Bishop. Also for Psylocke, I’d say cast both Betsy and Brian Braddock half asian half white actors from England and Jessica Henwick and Henry Golding would be great choices. Although I do think you’re on the right track, if the MCU ever does Psylocke they will probably just split them up into Betsy and Kwannon as separate characters
Excited at the thought of having actress Lily James as Rogue...she is on a roll lately doing a great job as young Donna in Mama Mia 2 and as Pam Anderson in Pam & Tommy series! Also, please play up the mercurial romance between Rogue & Gambit!
How I wold fix the Psylocke problem is just merge both characters: Elizabeth "Betsy" Kwannon is an asian-british mutant daughter of a British woman and a Japanese man, she lived most of her life in Japan but as a teen had to move with her mother AND her older brother Henry Cav- I mean Brian Braddock who is the son/grandson of a British SHIELD agent (Cool connection to that Endgame easter egg) This way Psylocke has all the traits, she's Japanese, British, sister to Captain Britain and she can always learn how to do Ninja stuff as a way to connect with her Japanese heritage and become a better fighter at the same time (maybe she was an amazing martial artist as a kid or something) Also more biracial representation! Of course this is a waaaay more Kwannon-sided adaptation of the character, but with Atwell's Captain "definitely not Captain Britain" Carter already in more than one project, I would say giving Brian the British Captain spotlight is for the best, but I still want the brother sister dynamic because they botched their main way to do that by leaving Wanda Pietroless after AoU
Naw. Let them be separate women. I love my white Euro Betsy Braddock, I also love my Japanese Kwannon, being her own woman for once. What happeneded to both was tragic. It should not have lasted that long, regardless of her popularity or lack thereof.

However, after meeting the X-men and Rogue, he realize his mistakes and joins the heroes, with Rogue falling in love with him because they are both villain trying to redeem themselves from their past (obs: I think MCU rogue should have the whole journey from villain to hero).
He's always been my favorite X-man, I reaaally hope they do
@@malepatternbaldness. yeah they're one of my favorite marvel couples
Kitty and Rogue is another group of those that have to be done correctly when appearing in the MCU.. They left alot to be desired in the fox films. Both of them are wildly competent and great substitute leaders when given the chance..
Thomasin Mackenzie is my pick for Kitty
@@biguy617 Great choice
“Ah yes. It’s a lot like Star Trek: The Next Generation. In many ways, it’s superior, but will never be as recognized as the original.”
If they make Psylocke specifically Japanese (as in cast a Japanese actress) I would be so happy because we haven’t gotten any Japanese representation other than the legendary…. Japanese Spiderman 😆
(Shang Chi is Chinese Descent, Gilgamesh actor is Korean)
If they don’t I would be pretty disappointed…
That would be fking awesome
Her story is confusing so just making her Japanese but British is the best way to go instead of a white woman changing bodies.
Haley Lu Richardson as Rogue would 1000% get me on board, I absolutely adore her in Five Feet Apart and her real-life personality seems perfect for Rogue! I can’t believe I didn’t think of her before now
i agree she's perfect for Rogue
I like how Rogue's love interest and soul mate is an ACTUAL rogue, lol. Somebody at Marvel has a very cheeky sense of humor.
i think not casting bishop as an indigenous australian is a huge missed opportunity for both diversity, and to further stand out as a member of the cast. it’s too bad that most comic writers and artists seem to ignore a very important part of his heritage
Came here to say this. Has to be played by an Australian First Nations actor.
Isn't Bishop from like hundreds of years in the future from an alternate timeline?
@@StewartFletcher and?
Uli Latukefu would be perfect
Jimi Bani is an indigenous Australian actor who could be Bishop, as are Aaron Fa'aoso, Mark Coles Smith
, and Thibul Nettle
. Its absolutely hypocritical how you went out of your way to find an actress you like for Kitty but rejected simply because she wasn't Ashkenazi Jewish, but you had no issue doing the same with Bishop who you yourself described as Aboriginal Australian.
yeah he tends to do that a lot ive noticed 😂
Agreed
16:11 bet youre feeling real silly now
To me his appearance just proved Nando was right lol
When you started listing the requirements for Gambit, Austin Butler immediately jumped in my head.
I’m glad he was a runner up for you, but he’s my winner.
@@lizziehwevans I also think there may be more options but when you give Elvis the movie you start to understand that he would be an AMAZING Gambit .
Bishop is Indigenous Australian (one of the oldest living cultures in the world), these peoples are already very underrepresented I think it would be disrespectful to not give an indigenous actor a shot at the role.
the oldest living culture in the world ? wut
Not older than bushmen( the Saan people )
@@Katkayz perhaps not but honestly thats besides the point
I’d love to see another (maybe brief) episode of this that’s just a bunch of oddball X-men you’d love to see included at some point, even just as background characters. X-men like Mercury, glob Herman, Mercury, Maggot, or mercury. Personally I’d love to see Mercury, she’s got fun powers.
Not sure if you're on Nebula, but there he's done the Mojoverse, Wolverine's clones and Excalibur. When he does his X-Factor video, he'll probably do another Nebula exclusive with even more fringe characters
Imagine if marvel has these detailed videos describing why they make the choices they make.
Yeah. The 90's series was pretty goofy overall (not that it's a bad thing) but the one part that I always liked about it was Rogue and Gambit.
If I’m not mistaken, the movie came out in the summer of 2000 and the show debuted that fall. I’m guessing they intentionally patterned the animated version after the live action portrayal.
I’d rather have the MCU X-Men be inspired by Evolution.
Not quite. Despite not having Carol powers, Evolution Rogue was still confident, she was sarcastic and had other arcs besides her inability to touch people, including her journey from member of the brotherhood to join x-men and dealing with the revelation that Mystique was her adoptive mother.
I agree
Coming back here to say youknowhowlongivebeenwaitingfordis? Wooimabouttomakeanameformyself!
Daisy Edgar-Jones is a slam dunk for Rogue. She hit all of these beats perfectly on Under the Banner of Heaven, and I assume she has a southern accent in Where the Crawdads Sing. Plus she seems to be on the cusp of superstardom, just like JLaw in First Class.
john boyega should be spyke, storm's nephew. he's too likeable and pure at heart for bishop
After watching Moon Knight, I'm convinced that the late Gaspard Ulliel would have been a perfect Gambit. The charisma, looks, and physicality was on point.
MOON KNIGHT MENTIONED RWAHHHHHHHHH
I think it's reasonable to expand Kwannon casting to 'countries that were colonised by Japan in the periods that Marvel's ninja plots cover'. This gives us a somewhat wider range: Japan, Korea, Taiwan (Hoklo, Formosan, Hakka) and Karafuto/Sakhalin (Ainu) - while still staying true to the character's roots.
50:12 If I may add to this, Eka Darville also played a Red Ranger named Scott Truman in Power Rangers RPM, which is a series set in a dystopia dimension where an evil robot virus has taken over and nearly killed off humanity
Just replace Venjix with Sentinels and add some time travel to the story, you got a potential Bishop plot
Even Scott’s personality sort of fits
Actually his character was Scott Truman but honestly yeah he could fit lol
@@haydenfisher1387 Thank you for the correction
as someone who was introduced to most of the marvel cast via the super hero squad mmo game, gambit was my favorite based on design and he had a mini game i remember liking.
Honestly the face shot of the two runners up for Gambit I look at them and I see Gambit. Although I know or barely know any of the actors you said for Gambit besides Channing Tatum, who I agree isn’t a great pick for Gambit.
Kitty Pryde is my favorite X-Men character, and probably my favorite character in all of Marvel Comics. She should really have a big role in the MCU!
Ana Paquin played a better Rogue on True Blood than she ever did on X Men
She had some moments in that show where I totally agree
Obviously nowhere near finished with this video yet but these are legitimately my favorite videos on the entirety of RUclips right now. The amount of time, effort, and thought put into each one is *chef's kiss*
Although Taron Egerton should be Wolverine
Only if he can do the accent right. If he can hide his British accent. I am all for it.
@@biguy617 I mean most British actors can do an American accent. It's not like Wolverine has a specific accent to him as he has traveled all over the globe in his life.
Guess he was wrong on Tatum gambit lol
Idk, he was alright. There are definitely actors more suited for the role
Fr lol
@@Sironion216not really
Tbf, he was really only in it for the one movie to give Tatum that chance to come back. He will likely be back in Secret Wars, which I could see being a one time role.
I imagine for the X-Men, they’ll want younger actors who can play these roles for 20 years. I wouldn’t be opposed to an older Gambit and older Rogue (since like with Giant Size X-Men they all join as adults). if they wanna go that way they definitely can and Channing would be my pick. But he probably wouldn’t be the best for a 20 year old Gambit.
Jacob Elordi's actually 25 years old, meaning the age-gap between your Rogue & Gambit is a lot smaller than you actually thought.
The whole finding someone in the right age range now kinda of falls apart when you consider that none of these characters would show up till the third or forth x men movie if they handled the roster like you’ve described.
Luckily, none of this is year and is just a fun exercise for Nando
I think this is your most solid casting YET! I’m down with everyone of them!
Shadowcat: You went with Maude Apatow… if you wanted to go younger, her sister Iris Apatow could also really work!
Jubilee: LOVE your pick. She’s great
I love Psylocke! & yes, I grew up in the 90/00 so art from Jim Lee, joe Madureira, THAT swimsuit special & layer on Salvador Larroca! + she was a 🇬🇧 X-Men (technical)
Lilly James is AMAZING! When you put her for Rogue I was like “ok, but what about Betsy” & then you did! (Is Henry Cavill your Brian?….)
here we are, two years later, with a peak gambit
i hope he gets to be in the main mcu he just feels right as gambit
Although I like tatum, hes already in his mid 40s. I dont see him playing the main gambit in the MCU
Real
I love all these choices glad you cast Gambit and Rogue they are some of my favorite X-MEN characters
Darville isn’t Indigenous Australian, he’s Caribbean ethnicity.
He is also the RPM red ranger. Haha
"Kate Pryde is jewish and should be played by a jewish person"
"Bishop is of aboriginal decent but lets cast an american. Both are black, who will notice"
"Kwannon is japanese. Why not go with a korean tho!"
Dude just gave me an hour long whiplash.
Be consistent or just forget about it man lol
@@davajita Unusually problematic of him yes. Lost a fair amount of respect for him after this. Maybe its just a "editing mistake" since he usually more sensitive about this sort of stuff.
centrist moment!
He's normally better about this kind of thing
He mightve just already had these actors in mind and was blind to his bias, hopefully he does better in the future
I'm completely with you in regard to the Bishop casting, but to be fair, he only suggested a single korean actress for Kwannon amidst 3 or 4 other suggestions that were all japanese or of japanese descent, and his top pick was also japanese.
The editing on the psylocke explanation is next level. Great video! Can't wait to see what you do next!
Agreed on Eka for Bishop. Plus (as silly as it seems) he does have experience acting as a peacekeeper in a post apocalyptic future in Power Rangers RPM as the Red ranger.
It would be cool if Rouge was the “villain” of ‘The Marvels’
Rogue
oh......oh, do i have some news for you.....
That Rachel Sennott section was a roller coaster, just like Shiva Baby
Okay. That whole thing about Rogue's history and her dad's using some type of spell I never heard before. You definitely taught me something there.
Agreed, Scott and Jean are so vanilla
as a new Orleanian Gambit will always be my favorite x-man
@@marlonclark1896 the south is under served with super heroes. I mean, who do we really have that people know? Gambit, Rogue, and Sam Wilson?
I'm sure there are lesser known and parody like Leatherhead and Shadow man. It's just so rare that we get a character like PREACHER or rogue with depth
Just found this channel, been jumping around random videos, the Bishop rant got me hitting the subscribe button
All I gathered from all that Betsy problem is that Betsy's consciousness is the most persevering entity in Marvel, just can't die and revives itself when absorbed by someone else
Been enjoying your picks more and more with each video. Jacob Elordi is my favourite to date.
Wonderful job here.
If it weren't for the insane coincidence of 5 Feet Away, I think I would also pitch Natalia Dyer for Rogue. Recent star power from Stranger Things + great actress + can handle relationship roles + horror/trauma
i was thinking sadie sink actually cause shes 20 irl and from texas originally

Rina Sawayama is the best bet for Kwannon/Psylocke tbh. She’ll be coming off of John Wick 4 and is British of Japanese Origin.

@@SuperPianogirl123 she’s debuting in John Wick 4. Apparently the director cast her after the bad Friend video
I would love to see you do a DC casting vid (if you haven't already) where you cast Darkseid and begin a segment about Darkseid with just "Darkseid Is..." and just have the screen go to static for a moment or two.
Anna Paquin's Rogue always seemed more like Kitty then Rogue to me.
I'm curious to see your casting of Dazzler, who is my favourite X-Men character!
I can't remember the last time i laughed as hard as i did when you went through rogue's childhood. Well done.
This was my most anticipated video of yours since you're pretty much the only RUclipsr I trust with fan casting. I love your casting for Rogue and I can't believe I never considered Haley Lu Richardson for the role, she's perfect! Personally, my fan casts for each of these characters are :
Elizabeth Gillies (older Rogue) or Maya Hawke (or now Haley Lu Richardson) as Rogue
I didn't have an exact fan cast for Gambit before, besides Channing Tatum but now that you mention it I can totally see Austin Butler or Jacob Elordi for the role
Maude Apatow as Kitty Pryde
Ramona Young as Jubilee
Baykali Ganambarr as Bishop
Sonoya Mizuno as Psylocke
Why do your rules about ethnicity get thrown out when it comes to Bishop being Aboriginal Australian? To be clear I agree with your rules generally just found it strange there was a sudden exception
Be anything bishop being anything other than just a black future American was added/retcon like over a decade after his creation and has barely been mentioned since/not important to his character like say kitty being jewish or storm being (raised) African .
You listed Betsy Braddock as Revanche, but Revanche was always Kwannon in Betsy's body. Betsy has been Psylocke and Captain Britain, though.
i immediately got hyped when i saw the notification and then double hyped when i saw the video length! more Nando less problems!
For Anna Cathcart (jubilee) I'm so surprised you skipped over her years of experience as Olivia on the PBS kids show odd squad I know it's a public broadcast show for kids but it's really well made and even when watching it I could see the range she had, perfect casting for jubilee
We absolutely need a casting alpha flight video,
Personally I’d go with Stephen Amell as Vindicator
two years later your prediction on Channing Tatum being Gambit was correct
He was gonna play gambit in a cancelled movie from 2014
Nando isn’t lying here Kitty really is one of the golden children everyone loves her
Channing Tatum gambit take aged like already spoiled milk
Never thought I'd see One Cut of The Dead on this channel. I love that movie.
Love the castings. Are we getting a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants casting for those other villians like: Toad, Blob, Sabertooth, Quicksilver, Pyro??
Breakfast Club AU? They did that with X-Men Evolution.
"Then when she got better (comics)" LOL
Love all the thought you put into these. I will say the one point I disagree with you on is Kwannon/Psylocke/Betsy. I'd just split the difference and have one character - Betsy Braddock, who is biracial white/asian, and is half-sister to Brian Braddock (if we see him). Gives you plenty of options on who you can cast, minimizes the duplication of purple hair/psychic powers, and simplifies the backstory. You'd also be able to take the best traits of all these versions and make one great character.
I love the Austin Butler Gambit idea.
ngl the psylocke explanation is the most complicated thing I've ever seen on youtube.
and I've watched videos analyzing the fibonacci sequence
Lana Condor should still play Jubilee in my opinion. She’s still a young looking lady that can pass for a teenager in my opinion. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Yes! And she was so wasted in that movie. She should get another shot.
plus they never gave her a chance to be a real character so I don’t think many people would realize she wasn’t recast
lana has spoken out that she is done playing teenager/high school roles and is ready to move on. unless Jubilee is aged up, she probably wouldn't agree to the role
Kurt and kitty are my favorite, aka the nightcrawler and shadow cat.
"As close to Euphoria has to a villain," is an understatement. Nate Jacobs might be the single least likable character I've ever seen on television. Elordi is great in the role.
Thomasin Mckenzie as Kitty Pride will be anwsome ! 🤩
I think Victoria Pedretti from The Haunting of Hill House and You on Netflix would be an incredible Rogue
Shoutout to casually comics for having a video series about all the Superman love interests with the initials L.L.
Brett Goldstein was my pick for Wolverine but he’s here’s he’s there he’s everyFKNwhere he’s SPOILERS --- Hercules now!
Jacob Elordi for Cyclops is SUCH a great casting
I feel like Elordi is a little young and not that much different from Ty Sheridan but who knows?
Excited at the thought of having actress Lily James as Rogue...she is on a roll lately doing a great job as young Donna in Mama Mia 2 and as Pam Anderson in Pam & Tommy series! Also, please play up the mercurial romance between Rogue & Gambit!
Lewis Pullman from Top Gun Maverick is considered for Cyclops according to the internet.
How I wold fix the Psylocke problem is just merge both characters:
Elizabeth "Betsy" Kwannon is an asian-british mutant daughter of a British woman and a Japanese man, she lived most of her life in Japan but as a teen had to move with her mother AND her older brother Henry Cav- I mean Brian Braddock who is the son/grandson of a British SHIELD agent (Cool connection to that Endgame easter egg)
This way Psylocke has all the traits, she's Japanese, British, sister to Captain Britain and she can always learn how to do Ninja stuff as a way to connect with her Japanese heritage and become a better fighter at the same time (maybe she was an amazing martial artist as a kid or something)
Also more biracial representation!
Lol just being from Louisiana isn't enough. As someone who grew up in north Louisiana (Shreveport area), I don't sound anything like a Cajun, most people would probably place me as a Texan, and it's still a difficult accent for me. For Cajun, you'd need someone from a very specific area in south Louisiana.

😂😂 Thank you Nando, I will be using that to describe Bishop from now on.
