I would go against the advise to stay in Brooklyn or Lower Manhattan as its expensive and rooms are really small and not worth specially if you are with your family. I would strongly recommend staying near around Newark, NJ. Reasons: 1. Affordable, spacious, much better hotels that includes breakfast and parking, etc 2. Newark airport is really close so save money on Taxi 3. Its just a low cost 30 min train ride to Manhattan. You can save good amount money rather than staying in tiny and expensive hotels.

Very informative video. Could you please elaborate about renting a bicycle. What's the price? Where to park and how to return after use?
There are multiple rental locations near central park. You can also check groupon coupons , we paid $20 for 3 hours. Parking was not any issue they will provide you locks as well. After use you have to drop the bicycle at the rental location.

We stayed near Brooklyn bridge and it was quite convenient for us.
You are incorrect and wrong. Philadelphia was the first capital of USA not the Newyork.
