Well at least they give you some type of breakdown with that paperwork or on that email. A lot of times most companies are not going to give you any breakdown. They're going to leave you with a little to no information. And yes you are correct. No one's going to call you back. You have to call and inquire about your application on numerous occasions and there's going to be a lot of runaround so you have to basically hunt down the job just like you filled out the application
are the trucks automatic? also i have locs as well and was wondering how much hair does the clinic take for the hair follicle test? lol don’t wanna lose too much hair
Melton makes you sign some medical release form to release all your medical records which I think is very intrusive, did you have to do this for Cypress?
Are you staying in a hotel during orientation? Do you bring your own transportation to Jax. (I'm in Florida) or do they get you a rental or uber? And lastly...lol...... if you are with a trainer for 6 weeks..... is that on his truck for 6 weeks? Thanks for the video
You can request a rental car, but it’s only to get you there and not back home. I did 6 weeks with my first trainer and we stayed pretty close to each other as well as the Cypress yard in Leland, NC, so at least 2 times a week we went home and off on weekends.
@@locdn4122 that’s dope man. I’ve been corporate world for 5 years and I got to make a change. I heard the trucking money is great and I just got my permit last week I look forward to seeing u out on the road thanks for responding
The pay was pretty good. I made $1100-$1200 a week delivering 2-3 loads a day 3 days out the 5 day week, but I left at the end of march to be home more with the family. Drive a mixer truck for SRM now making close to what I was making with Cypress.
What's up James brother when you coming to cypress? I see you here to haha I'm gonna be in the Jacksonville one in about three months I just gotta save the money for the bills

$500 or $800 by week after 6 months! Living inside the truck and risking your life when they make thousands of dollars, with the excuse that I am learning, is an abuse, that is why there are no OTR drivers and that is why they quit very soon.

Some good info bro . Hope you doing good at cypress.

I plan to go to cypress in late October. I just quit smoking should be good by then. Did you enjoy training?
Training was good because my trainer lived close to me. We were home a lot of nights during the 6 weeks.

Do you need flatbed experience? Will they make you take a DOT physical, or do they accept your current DOT medical card?
You do not need experience, you will do both DOT physical and medical card.
