- 'Drowned' is from The Who's 1973 album 'Quadrophenia' and is written by Pete Townshend. By FAR my favorite Who album of them all! This album and I became one my freshman year of high school. A time of turmoil, having to fight my way out of being bullied, and just surviving to make it to my sophomore year! This album was the soundtrack of my life at that time!

LYRICS:
There are men high up there fishing,
Haven't seen quite enough of the world,
I ain't seen a sign of my heroes,
And I'm still diving down for pearls.
Let me flow into the ocean,
Let me get back to the sea.
Let me be storm, let me be calm,
Let the tide in, and set me free.
I'm flowing under bridges,
Then flying through the sky,
I'm traveling down cold metal
Just a tear in baby's eye.
Let me flow into the ocean
Let me get back to the sea
Let me be stormy. let me be calm
Let the tide in, and set me free.
Set me free!
I am not the actor
This can't be the scene
But I am in the water,
As far as I can see...
I'm remembering distant memories
Recalling other names.
Rippling over canyons,
And boiling in the train.
Let me flow into the ocean,
Let me get back to the sea.
Let me be stormy, let me be calm,
Let the tide in, and set me free.
I wanna drown!
In cold water!
Oooh!
You should be in a cover band, talent like this needs to be heard!
That Tele sounds so good, nice!🤘
Thank you, Dean! Yes, the Tele has been quite the performer for me!

Thank you very much, my friend!
That’s a nice sounding Tele. And a hell of an homage to the great Peter Townshend. I like those Affinity’s because they’re not as heavy as standard telecasters.
Thank you, man! This Affinity Tele has been such a great and reliable performer for me for well over a year now!
Slick tone, crunchy and biting. Dig this song. Was waiting for you to swing that axe over the shoulder!
Thanks, man! I was gonna try doing the windmills, but I would probably mess up my aged Rotator Cuff!
I really enjoyed the nice skillz man!! I'm definitely gona have to check out some more of your awesome content. I have happily subscribed to you🎼🎵🎶🤟🤠💯🔥🤙👍
Thank you very much, man! I subbed right back!
Very nice my friend. Have a good day.
Thank you, Deedee! Have an awesome day!
That is a great tone you have there. I wish I hadn't traded my Tele clone. I have now managed to trace/eliminate the source of the worst of the noise I was getting, and can now use single coil pickups.
Thank you, buddy! This ISN'T a Tele clone - if you're inferring that. It's made by Fender. The only difference: where it was made. The pickups have the same amount of winding. Fenders are Alnico while these are ceramic, I believe. I could get a set of Alnico pickups for this for $30 from Guitar Madness. Same quality as Fenders. But, I like the hotness and bite of the ceramics in this beastly beast. ;-)
@@Axess-sv8nq that wasn't my intention at all. I was just trying to say that I wish I still had access to a Tele. I saw that you have the Affinity. I used to own an Indio DLX but traded it because it was unplayable for me. Too much noise in my house, plus I just couldn't get used to a light color fretboard with black dots.
@@ccjmusic Sorry. Having a 'rattled' day here. Didn't mean to get in any way snippy. I spent nearly all yesterday dealing with attacks and trolling from a-holes on social media because I dare speak my opinions (which is somehow now a CRIME against humanity!). Then, this new RUclips web page format is messing up EVERYTHING I try to do. I'm very close to just going back to classic format! I have an Indio/Monoprice Les Paul. They're hit and miss. I had to upgrade the pickups. This Squier Tele is golden, tho! So easy to play and sounds great!
I want to try one of the Glarry Teles sometime.
@@Axess-sv8nq don't worry about it. I can see how you read it that way.
My Indio was really well made and didn't need anything doing to it. It just wasn't right for me at the time. I traded it at a local guitar store and got my Ibanez GAX70 which I love.
My favorite album.... very cool cover my friend !!!
