I love spirito for his loyalty to Budo, when the journalist asked what took Budo to prison "he said let me paused".Meaning Budo did something bad but he is protecting his image even in deaf.loyalty and respect is the evidence of a good follower

This is how you conduct an interview! Interviewer did his homework and came prepared, asked relevant and intelligent questions that helped unravel the story and didn't interject unnecessarily. Spirito was the icing on the cake as his raw streetness and home sense made this a classic interview.

I miss Wcfa dearly and may his soul rest in peace 😢. I’m from buokrom and connects to Budo’s family. Everything that Lion narrated is accurate. As a matter of fact when Budo was gunned down by the old man from the palace in 2004. My dad was the one that called president Kuffour at Jubile house for them to dispatch soldiers to Burkrom to call for curfew. Our family house was almost burned down next to the buokrom palace. Budo was the man of the people and stood for Justice.

He died on that fateful Tuesday morning in August 2004 aaawww what a day it was. The chaos that erupted the whole town was something I can't describe.
They composed a song for him, 🎶 "wo wuo yi 3ya Wofa ee, wu wuo yi 3ya Wofa ee, wu wuo yi 3ya, wo wuo yi 3ya". May his soul rest in peace.

He was the equivalent of Captain Planet and Superman to us when we were children. I saw him display severally. One of the memorable ones was a day he blocked the Krofrom street from Manhyia to Shinola all the way to Krofrom Traffic light. I had just closed from school (still in my school uniform).
With his bicycle and a very tight sport apparel, he displayed in the streets and blocked traffic. He took monies from all the drivers and gave to the kids.
I REMEMBER LOSING MY LUNCH BOWL THAT DAY. LOL😂😂😂
He was so charismatic and lovable. People have their own reservations about him but KUMASI loved him.
He was like ROBINHOOD sort-of. He literally took from the rich and gave to the poor. W)fa’oooo w)fa! ✌🏾

    • @philipboateng5667

I disagree with the statement of him taking from the rich and giving to the poor. Budo robbed the poor taxi and trotro drivers and anyone else that come thru the blocked road and use it for himself and his guys. He was no hero for those of us who saw him several times robbing people in day light. I’m not surprised that his own family killed him.

This gives me a perspective of the Ashanti army in the olden days 1700-early 1900’s) where wars were fought. The warrior and fearless spirits of their grandfathers still lives in them. Today, there are no wars so that tenacity and ferocious spirit have been channeled towards business. However there are still a few of them who still use this drive to perpetuate lawlessness. Most Ashanti’s have a strong work ethic and make good money because of this Asante ‘sunsum’.

I wish there was social media back then, we could have videos of Budo. I saw him for the first time at Kejetia Market area in the early 90'S and he was jogging and getting fans, 'Wofa oo wofa...".
