- To date, there are approximately 30 to 40 bodies of water in Louisiana that contain the aquatic fern. Because of its rapid growth abilities, giant Salvinia has become one of the most problematic aquatic plants in southern states.
Black Bayou Lake covers approximately 4,000 acres of Caddo Parish Louisiana, north of Shreveport and near the Texas and Arkansas state lines. An original raft lake, today it is sustained by a dam that runs parallel to Louisiana Highway 2 near Hosston, Louisiana.

It sure was Jack Sparky Frahn. The intrusive plants have taken over a lot of this lake from my last visit. I noticed a few hunter blinds too I passed over afterwords haha glad I made it back in 1 piece. Thanks for stopping by and watching :).

I managed to find a boat ramp, and a public park for the shots. I really love capturing bayous they are so mystical and magical in natural beauty. Thank you again Bob Casey

Thanks for the views, one of my favorite lakes to enjoy a flight and see the cypress trees through the drone. I usually go after January so it's the first I got to visit the area with green foliage.

Jackson RC Aviation thank you for the support and appreciate your comment. It's one of my favorite lakes so far to visit. There is a lot of intrusive vegetation covering it more so than from my last drone trip. Hopefully they can get it before it's to late for the lake.

Jonatham, thanks for stopping in and watching I was just thinking of this lake a couple weeks back. I’m sorry and hope this response isn’t too late. I haven’t been able to get out this month due to Covid and snow ❄️ but hopefully the weather is looking up for this week. If time allows I’ll see if I can get back to that area. I’m actually from Texas and love to travel into neighboring states. I don’t believe there was any flight restrictions so it should be ok.
