Don’t forget to *LIKE* the video ❤ Below is what the previous owner sent me regarding the engine/transmission goodies: 355 small block Full MSD ignition 6al box, blaster coil and matching distributor. 750 holley double pumper Dominator intake manifold - single plane. 2.02 double hump camel heads with roller rockers and stud girdles. Pete Jackson gear drive. McLeod racing clutch inside of Lakewood scatter shield. Super T-10 4 speed trans with vertical gate shifter. 12 bolt posi rear end that has been shortend with strange axles with 4.88 gears
Hey Doris..that is a nice list of goodies for parts..4:88 gears for the street I think is a bit much for the streets..more like for track action..I don't know what your plans are for this particular vehicle..but for running on the streets I would definitely change the gear ratio in the rear..or get yourself a six speed manual transmission behind the engine..either way..still a sweet ride..has that 80's look.
That is a start. But it would be really beneficial to have the full specs on the engine. All of that is just vague basic info. What pistons are on it? Static compression ratio? What are the cam specs. Is it a flat tappet or roller? Hydraulic or solid. All of this info is needed for the proper tuning of the engine.
Predicted! Awesome! I had both a 67 and 69 RS Camaro...miss them both. You will get, as you know, a whole new wave of subs from these two cars alone, especially the Camaro. Make sure the driveshaft is chrome moly or something stronger than oem to handle turning those meats.
You predicted nicely :) so I have the middle year to yours lol. I bet they were great. Hopefully the ones that do sub will enjoy my learning process and lend some help via comments.. I will need it lol. The driveshaft looks stock when I looked under it. Another thing to replace :)
@@woman.driven I didn't know you spoke English. I somehow assumed you didn't, because of all the dubbed shorts. I'm not brand loyal. They all make nice rides. I'm also into different styles; hot rods, lowriders, minitrucks, drag, 4x4, all of it....
This is awesome. I love the variety of vehicles on your channel. I'm a chevy guy but over cars/trucks in general. Looking forward to see what you do with them.
Love all Camaros Doris. My favorite is the 1970 with the Rally Sport split bumper front end. I've owned two. One all original I purchased form the original owner. The other one I modified with a LS6 454 big block, manual valve body TH400 transmission with a 3500 stall converter and 3:73 Posi-traction rear end.
Ever since I started watching your channel 5 years ago I've always wondered if this day will come. Finally here you are with cars that are heart pounding, there is nothing wrong with your other cars, these are cars I'm sure most of your fans can relate to. My first Camaro was a '80 Z/28 with the 350 and 350 THM and twin Flowmasters fed through an Elelbrok performer RPM intake topped by an Edelbrok 650 carb Mucha gracias bonita, I can't wait to follow your new roads. (Hint: '80 Trans Am, pretty please)!!!
Totally Awesome ! You can have both of both worlds.. 1st generation .. your going to love working with carburator cars. Chrome bumpers is 💪🏻 the whole look from those days.. congratulations !!
I am so happy to see the direction your channel is going. I love the OG Camaros iced one for 20 years in super stock class. Good luck with all of them!
Great find.Might want to get a screwdriver and poke around on that floor. With a rust hole in one spot, need to check and make sure there are no weak spots elsewhere.
Ooo snaps..you have a CAMARO pro street..now ya cooking with grease!!..😂😂😂..love that first Gen..had one now you making feel bad that I sold it..lord..that car..now you have me hooked on you..(I meant the car..😊😊)..however that is a sweet looking ride..please take car of that one!..and no selling..please!..😅😅
Crazy at first I thought it was a 69 cause the grill. Till I saw her hips. 68s have no reflectors is another way of telling and I love that year too 1 thing I woulda done is do the motor up then worry about the outside. In this case it when it pulls up it will have people doubt it, instead your gonna see taillights and being a laughing stock. But it's a learning thing. You'll have it in no time, beautifull camero though
I love pro street cars! Heads and cam in that motor. Most likely header mufflers with turndowns under the seats. Looking forward to see what you do with it!
Congrats, I pretty much knew it was a Camaro, the body looks to be in excellent condition, looks like a great find. Not really a Chevy fan, but the classic Camaro's do look good, only knock on the outside is the cowl hood, not a fan of cowl hoods in general, she does have serious meat in the back. You will have some fun with this one.
This is going to be another fun project for you and your channel. Just so you know, all of the pieces to repair the floorpan in your car are available brand new.
Great glad to hear. I have a 68 Camaro 327 3 speed on the floor convertible, I love it. But in my garage I have a 06 Mustang next to it. 😆. I’m excited to watch what you’re going to do with you classic cars in future videos. Also I see the Camaro shirt, I like it. You selling merchandise, if so couldn’t find.
That is awesome! So a Camaro and Mustang! I love to hear when others don’t care about brand and enjoy what each offer. Merch wise.. none for now, but I still start that back up.
Hey sunshine 🌞! Trying to keep up with you and all these cars is becoming a full-time job for me! It's been a blast following you from the Mustang all the way up to the classic muscle cars. Keep the awesome videos videos coming! Until next time, take care!😅❤
The fumes is normal.. its the good ol carburetor smell.. but very deadly.. hook a rubber hose all the way out to the outside of the garage door. Please . Congrats again.. you still my favorite.. 🥰🥰
I know they’re normal. The ZL1 and GT350 have them, but they are further back. You’ll see in the next video why it’s so strong under me haha. I’ll get it fixed
My lord, you are a dream. I had a 67 of my own when I was a bit younger. I put a four bolt and bored it out with a th 400. Much work was done. Axles and all. I was doing 9 seconds. I love you and the car. Thank you much. beautiful
Doris, get yourself a PDR set (paintless dent repair) tools to get the dents out of those cars and future cars. Stay away from bonding and infomercial gimmick tools. PDR tools are the best
Love the Camaro just a quick observation though... I noticed there are no side marker lights... that is typically a 67 camaro. But no smokers windows which is a 68 thing. So did they fill in the side marker lights when it was painted or is it actually a 67 with 68 doors?
Don’t forget to *LIKE* the video ❤ Below is what the previous owner sent me regarding the engine/transmission goodies:

McLeod racing clutch inside of Lakewood scatter shield.
Super T-10 4 speed trans with vertical gate shifter.
12 bolt posi rear end that has been shortend with strange axles with 4.88 gears
first thing i would do is toss that holley in the trash they are junk
Where did the GTR go?

I know what some of this means I just know it makes it fast I need a teacher Ms. @woman.driven
Another cool find older hot rod's are easier to work on then newer ones. Lots of potential with the camero good luck with the project.
Doris should add the 1970 dodge charger to her collection 😃
SBC (Small Block Chevy) are great engines. The cam sounds healthy. You and your Camaro have a nice thick rear end.
Predicted! Awesome! I had both a 67 and 69 RS Camaro...miss them both.

Love the 68 Camaro. That’s always been my favorite year I have a 68 Camaro too😊
I am very happy for you Doris in the purchase of the 68 Camaro. It has so much potential and I know you will make it awesome.
Wow those shorts couldn’t fit any better 👍🏻👍🏻
Sweet ride and extra sweet teaser on Instagram.... ! Wow, looking slick and smooth !
So excited for you Doris! Love the 68' Camaro. Just wish it was more stock w/o the drag tires, and the badges put back the fenders and hood.

Congratulations ❤ I love muscle cars; Ford, GM, Chrysler, doesn't matter. I lucked into a numbers matching 70 RS for $450 back in 1990. Still got it❤
Oh wow! $450 is insane. But yes, doesn’t matter which.. all are great and one can enjoy either!

2:54 I agree 💯 68 firebirds also! MEAN CAR! 🤠👍🤘🎸
I love the Camaro! A '68 RS is my favorite....... partly because I also own one. I look forward to more videos on what you do with this car.
Called it in community post comment. Classic Camaro 😁 Awesome find Doris. Also hot damn full tubs in the rear getting extra C's to make it THICCCCC 🤩
Haha.. so many guess correctly. I guess it was that obvious lol. Super THICCC
Totally Awesome ! You can have both of both worlds.. 1st generation .. your going to love working with carburator cars. Chrome bumpers is 💪🏻 the whole look from those days.. congratulations !!
Thank you! Yes. That was the whole idea lol. I wanted to match the first two I have, but in gen 1 form. I like chrome on the Mustang lol
Great idea.. I will work on that and film all of the progress related to this build :). Thank you!
That's what it do great classic muscle car you have great taste in muscle cars ✌🏾💯🇺🇲

Congrats,.....like the camaro better than 8:52 the mustang.....✌️....btw car sounds sick...😍
Definitely a beautiful Camaro, congratulations and enjoy, as we do watching you!
I love the 1969 Camaro which my friend has in Black and modernised for today comfort. Great find on a 1968 and can't wait to see what you do with it.
Can't wait to get my C-10 tubbed have always wanted a pro-street

Congrats, I pretty much knew it was a Camaro, the body looks to be in excellent condition, looks like a great find.

Great addition to the collection.
This is going to be another fun project for you and your channel. Just so you know, all of the pieces to repair the floorpan in your car are available brand new.
Yes. Both have similar things to work on and then different things lol. Hopefully it’s now too difficult to repair
What a gorgeous car. Both are going to be exciting to watch
Thank you!
Lady your doing the channel. You get the choice. Although I'm a Mopar fan this Camaro looks Goood

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your adventure
Thank you for joining me on the journey!
Congratulations on getting a 68 Camaro. That iconic first generation body style. I’m sure you have plans to make it look and run good👍
The fumes is normal.. its the good ol carburetor smell.. but very deadly.. hook a rubber hose all the way out to the outside of the garage door. Please . Congrats again.. you still my favorite.. 🥰🥰

I always like those front end hide away lights on those camaro's you're in my world now with the classic vehicles 😍
I had a 67 back in the 90’s. Miss it dearly. Enjoy that beauty!
My lord, you are a dream. I had a 67 of my own when I was a bit younger. I put a four bolt and bored it out with a th 400. Much work was done. Axles and all. I was doing 9 seconds. I love you and the car. Thank you much. beautiful
If you switch carbs I would check out ATM carbs and if you decide efi look into holley sniper. That blurple color looks nice with the thick meats :)
This is a great car. I really like the color. Congrats Doris on this find.
Your are correct about the 68, it’s always been my favorite Camaro. Love the front.
you got yourself another good one! looking forward to seeing what you’re gonna do with it!
Doris, you rock! Love the Camero. Peace ✌️
Doris, get yourself a PDR set (paintless dent repair) tools to get the dents out of those cars and future cars. Stay away from bonding and infomercial gimmick tools. PDR tools are the best
Try finding you some Nascar mufflers for the Camaro and them exiting out on each side in front of each back tire.
There is no such thing as NASCAR mufflers. NASCARs don't have mufflers.
Awesome good job! Glad to see all the brands of cars in your stable!
It needs casi nada. Plus you got great ideas for it. And last..you look great today and in the car too.
That Camaro has INCREDIBLE potential! Good luck!
Actually your exactly right. Seems like they always want close to 30K or higher for a shell
Im happy for you.. 🎉 im still having trouble to fix my daewoo lanos 99
Ms Doris I’m surprised 😮 that the car started right up you didn’t have to pump the gas ⛽️ or nothing
Nice video...keep me updated on the restoration of your car..😊
Nice 68 Camero and Doris you are a talker and a looker 👍❤️
That is a cool looking car old school all the way ❤
Awesome, absolutely awesome and I’m 100% jealous 💪👍
Are you keeping the cowl hood?
Love the Camaro just a quick observation though... I noticed there are no side marker lights... that is typically a 67 camaro. But no smokers windows which is a 68 thing. So did they fill in the side marker lights when it was painted or is it actually a 67 with 68 doors?
Congrats! This is totally awesome 👍
Congrats Doris now you got muscle 👍👍👍👍 up up
Can't wait to see what you do this classic Camaro . Looks great, and you too !

You just traveled in twilight time 😵💫 the smell o carburetor car in a shop and the current smell of the newer cars .. welcome .. 😁
Love it.. I just need the clothes and the music to go with it haha
Reminds me of cars us youngsters had back in the day...high school in 70's
That seems about right. 🥰
Your going to have to build dragrace car for the dragstrip

masota🥰 i had a 67 RS when i was young. i bought it because i loved the movie Better Off Dead
Super cool woman. Just a quick question. Did they get rid of the side markers because they just didn't want them ya think?
All you need now is an efi on it along with the mustang and no hesitation which I'm sure there isn't much now congratulations beautiful ❤❤❤
good luck with project but nice roaring engine all that power. Learn more about it everyday.
Those tires are pretty thick tho💯👀
