It makes sense that Mary didn't know Frederick at first sight. He was not as papped as Harry was - and Harry was a focal point in Diana's funeral. Kate never said that she didn't know William. So Meghan is really this insincere person
It’s perfectly plausible, yes. Unlike Markle, who was a UK royal fan before she tried to get into the family.
There's some possibility that Meghan seriously is an empty vessel. She extracts tidbits of others lives for her 'narrative' but they do come across as random, sometimes contradictory. Reminds me of Madonna channeling various Hollywood stars but she never claimed aspects of their lives, just rode the wave of glamour they represented. Meghan may have no genuine self: she's a hodgepodge of Catherine, Diana, Wallis, Mary, anyone whom she literally thinks she can pinch a piece of. Never saw someone so weird on the world stage.

I'm Danish and I haven't met anyone here who had anything but love and admiration for Mary. She makes us proud of our monarchy.

I would say that it's been catastrophic for her in the sense that she is now one of the most ruined and disliked women in public life - if not 'the' most disliked. Has it ever been the case that a woman could be given material wealth, a global platform, the best royal advisors, the best PR company, the support of famous and wealthy individuals (like Oprah and Tyler Perry), the support of Netflix and Spotify teams and the best administrative staff, and yet still managed to fail so spectacularly?
Of course it is incredibly sad that the Queen's final years were made so painful by her grandson's disloyalty, and in that sense it was tragic for her, but as a family they have found their way through with grace and dignity. I think they've emerged not only well, but more popular than before. Which is probably something else to add to Markle's list of catastrophes!

I will mention that Queen Mary is very well educated. She has a bachelor in Commerce and a bachelor of Law. She is certificated in advertising from AFA and direct marketing from ADMA. She has studied French. She has been working in Paris where she taught English at a Business School. She moved to Denmark in December 2001 and in 2002 she got a job at Microsoft in Copenhagen as a project consultant for business development, communications and marketing. She held that job for a year, and a few months after the engagement was announced.
Yeah I know - but even if I'm not an Australian, I can brag about my country's new Queen, because she is amazing.

@@barbq1976 I can only find that she was working with marketing, communications, advertising and as an account manager and later as a account director. That was before she met Frederik. I have also heard she was working in Real Estate, but .. I don't know if that's true, so I left it out. She is an admirable woman in my opinion, and I am proud to call her our Queen. And you know what? I'm not even a royalist ... ha ha, stange how one person can make a difference.

I’ve seen recently that this comment from her was copied from someone else when meeting their future husband and I can’t find it now or remember who it came from originally. I thought possibly Diana Spencer at the time but I’m not sure. Either way we all know the complete fixation she has with Diana and Catherine and how she plagiarises other peoples comments, quotes and speeches.

Well, that is not really true. She has made very few mistakes, but she has made them. Such as sending her son to a school where bullying takes place, when she herself is an advocat for anti-bullying. now Queen Mary. Frederik couldn't have made a better choice and the Danes loves her. And he has NO affair, it is a stupidity! Queen suffers from her back surgery, period. Meghan who makes fun of the Queen with her rude reverence on Netflix. At the beginning I did like her but today, I’m so disappointed in her. She didn’t learn anything. Proud Aussie here....long live Queen Mary and King Frederik! Mary (like Catherine when her time comes) will be a fabulous Queen and ambassador for her adopted country. As you quite rightly point out Pluto, the truly regal are not always born into royalty...sometimes it takes a commoner with an innate sense of goodness and compassion to wear the crown. VolderMeg has a deep, black pit where her soul should be hence her inability to EVER come close to achieving the love and admiration of the people as both Mary and Catherine have. She will be a dirty little footnote in the history books while Queen Mary and Queen Catherine will have endless tomes written about them.
I agree with you that history may view her as inconsequential however I fear that, as with other villains in history, there might be a curiosity or search to explain or understand which could result in many books being written.

I've expressed almost the same words in regards to Catherine and Mary. Recently on another channel I said that MM could learn a great deal watching Mary's example of how to be a lady, make a difference while maintaining dignity not only for Mary's reputation but the reputation of the Danish Monarchy. Mary's a blessing and as another Aussie I'm very proud of her. I just hope the rumours are false because Mary and the children do not deserve any form of unhappiness ❤🦘🇦🇺

I think the Queen of Denmark was following her own plan. She slimmed down the monarchy by removing titles. She has health problems and has had back surgery. Over the last couple of years I believe it was in her plan to step aside. This also gives her a chance to be a guided hand to the new King, Queen and Crown Prince while she is able to.
Yes, the children of the spare were to have other titles as they turned 25 anyway. Dutchess or whatever.
My guess is: She got back pain seriously starting some 2 years ago. Learned from the doctors that surgery is possible, but would not help for sure. She then made her mind up getting things done and stripped their titles 1 1/2 year ago. She had surgery one year ago. And as it didn't quite solve the problem she got ready over the last year.
Perfect timing as also Christian turned 18 some months ago. IF at all Frederik has done anything, it doesn't have anything to do with Margrethes decisions. Rumours of adultery is part of the DNA in the Scandinavian Royal Houses always, but hasn't led to anyone stepping off the throne for that reason. We are a bit relaxed about that in Scandinavia. If Frederik and Mary should break up: they already have the line of next heirs ready. Frederik would stay the monarch and maybe meet and marry another woman. As Dane I know, he would stay our King no matter married or not as he has 4 kids already. He is head of state, a symbolic figure, but it is the decisions of our elected politicians who rule my life.
Also if you ever see pictures of Queen Margrathe’s proclamation she looks so conflicted because she was obviously devastated that she had just lost her father the night before, whereas Fred’s was a happy event because they weren’t mourning for Margrathe.
Queen Margrethe did the planning for an abdication all by herself. The Prime Minister was informed TWO days before everyone else, and Frederik and Joakim (the spare) probably not much earlier (based on a known gettogether of only the queen and her sons)
However the ascention of Frederik has been planned for YEARS! The queen is 83, and a heavy smoker, she could easily have dropped dead 10 years ago! I’m sad that she can’t follow her philosophy of “this is a job you only leave in a coffin,” but also grateful that we got the chance to honour her for her dedication while she might still experience it - and that the ascention was a unmarred joyous occation!

I love the revealing comparison you make of Meghan -- who griped (on record in the Netflix doc) over having to learn the lyrics to the UK national anthem -- WHICH ARE IN ENGLISH -- and after she had LIVED IN CANADA and worked as an actress which necessitates memorizing lines -- with Queen Mary who -- voluntarily and with interest -- LEARNED the DANISH LANGUAGE!
What does living in Canada have to do with anything? They don’t sing the British national anthem. Mary didn’t voluntarily learn Danish. She wanted to be queen and speaking the language is a requirement.
Actually you’re wrong about not singing the British national anthem in Canada. We are a member of the commonwealth and we most definitely do sing it at certain occasions. In fact, from grade 1 onwards we sang it at the end of every school assembly. As a side note, one only sings the first verse and it’s very easy to learn.

@@1019lms If you are Canadian, you would know that every Canadians can sing God Save the Queen / King. In any formal government or civil proceeding, Canadians proclaim "God Save the Queen / King" in much the same way as Americans say "God Bless America".
To be fair…the Danish Royal family is way more „low key” in the news than the British Royal family. Therefore, it is more believable that Mary did not know who Fredrick was. Everyone knew who Harry was and is from the moment he was born and I don’t believe for one second that Meghan had no idea and was only interested in his kindness. 🙄
I have admired Mary for years! She gave up her country, which was far away and learned a new language at the age of 30. I think she is amazing, and was born to be royal!

We were not all living offline in 2000. There were plenty of resources available on the internet for those who wanted to learn about a member of any royal family. It didn’t matter if she knew who Frederik was, she ditched a going away party for a friend as soon as she heard there would be a handful of eligible princes at the Slipp Inn. I’m glad it worked out for her but she is as ambitious as Meghan any day of the week.
? In 2000 we were online! At that time I had worked online for three or more years. Social media not that much, but I recall especially moving to another country in 1999 that there were thousands of chatrooms where people met from all over the world and communicated with each other. Don't be daft.

But there truly weren’t pictures of Danish princes just floating around in the Australian tabloids until Mary got engaged because the BRF are still our head of states, so all our papers/magazines were filled with Wills & Harry and Princess Di. We all watched Diana's wedding and Diana's funeral here in the states. Hell I taped it. There is no way she didn't know who he was. Especially when Diana was famous all over the world and tv, news papers and trash papers and magazines all over the states had Diana, King , Camilla and the princes allvover them. Take it from this 54 year old lady. I absolutely knew who he wad. Hell ao saw him as a baby on the steps of the hospital when Diana and Charles prestented him to the world. Megan is a hateful hurtful person abd puts up airs, she is hardly in her kids lives. I couldn't imagine not being with my girls every day of their childhood in some way. My girls are 25 and 28. Yes the spent time away from home on weekends with my folks and in laws. With their friends and weekends with two of my four sisters. But I never left the state of Oregon without them when they were under 5 years old. The first time and only time I ever left the state without them they were almost 7 and 10. I left on a family trip to Disneyland with 3 of my sisters and my parents to make up a family trip to Disneyland that got ruined back in 1973. I left my girls with their dad. They had daddy daughter time. Hellvi think they had more fun then I did that whole trip except the day we went to Disneyland it's self.

The crowds for the proclamation of the new king of Denmark were incredible and even online people were so involved and it was all very friendly. Being Dutch myself, speaking five languages more or less fluently, I can tell you it’s no easy feat to learn a new language when you’re a grown-up. Good on Mary! May I mention the current Dutch queen Máxima in this respect. Argentinian born she has mastered the Dutch language (like Danish , a terribly difficult language to learn) and we all admire her for that.

Harry and MM wedding I found shocking because, apart from MM mother, there was no one at the wedding who had known MM as a child, young girl or schoolgirl. How can a child end up with no family or childhood friends at her wedding? That was a pyrotechnics of red flags.
Frederik has know about this abdication for a awhile. He just, today, relerased a book called Kongeord - so he has known about it, and has worked on that book, so it could be released after his ascension. There's no way, this was a sudden decision. They've talked about it, and made preperations within the family. It was only sudden to the rest of us. But there's no way, she just sprung it on her family.

Listening to Queen Margrethe describing Mary, I was quite stunned by her flawless command of the english language.
Why? She and Queen Elizabeth were cousins and were very close. QE2 called Margrethe “Daisy” and Margrethe called QE2 “Lilibet”. Also English is the International language and being a Queen she would have met dignitaries from all over the world for her entire reign.
I adore Queen Margrethe. I watched an amazing documentary on her. She's very well educated, designs all of her own clothes and works with the Danish ballet designing backdrops and costumes for the performers. She works behind the curtain like everyone else, in jeans and a polo shirt, hand stitching garments to perfection. She is as refined and elegant as a lady can be and I wish her a long and happy life working on things she loves.
All the Danish people I have met seem excellent at not just the language but seem to aquire the accent of that language very quickly.
Her grandmother was Margaret of Connaught, who later became Crown Princess Margareta of Sweden so the Danish royal family has always had close ties to the UK. And Queen Margrethe spent a year at boarding school in England, so it's hardly surprising that she's fluent in English.
Most Europeans speak 3-4 languages fluently.
As someone who also had to learn a new language as an adult, my observation is that Mary is a very diligent student, and she just threw herself in and studied hard. I am decidedly NOT a good student, and it was quite a difficult road for me!
I am always reminded of how Queen Sylvia met her husband king Carl of Sweden at the Munich Olympics as his personal hostess and they got married. She definitely knew who she was going to accompany but it is still a similar story and she has definitely come into her own.

MM and Harry's engagement video and behaviour was absolutely immature. MM especially at her age, acted like a teen. Right there and then I knew oh boy...this girl is going to be all drama and a fake when she said...Is he nice?
Harry should have asked that question - Is she nice?! Oh - she only mailed her her wedding rings back to her husband and then cheated on her live-in boyfriend. Yep, she's 'nice' alright.

After about 7 minutes of the engagement video, I thought "OK, you need to stop talking now and let Harry get a word in". I was curious to hear what she had to say at first as I had no clue who she was. All that really mattered was that she made Harry happy.

Yes! Also my impression. After re-hearing Mary’s story I got the exact same impression as you. Yes, and something did seem off after/during that interview. Also, Mary learned Danish while for the other, curtsying and learning the one verse of the National Anthem was too much of a chore.

Queen Mary is a gem in the Danish crown. Her father's speech at the wedding was fantastic! There are foreign-born princesses throughout history who refused to learn about their adopted country. Queen Mary dove in head first, and I adore her first speech (award ceremony) after the wedding where she got to give an award to a Danish artist abroad. Her speech was in English, but she slipped into Danish much to her surprise and her husband's delight. Her humor in the speech she gave at her husband's 50th birthday was epic!
That 50th birthday speech is the best speech I´ve ever heard,seriously. The delivery, the content, the love and the humour are...epic, as you say!

My daughter & family have just spent 3.5 years living in Finland and are hoping to move back asap after their big move to America after only 6 months.
They learned NOTHING but the bare basics in all that time and would have to ring friends or the babysitter to translate for them when their first child started talking.
Finnish, Estonian & and few Eithiopian languages I believe are the hardest BUT the other Scandinavian countries are on the next rung down in difficulty.
Mary has said publicly that she found it really hard to learn the language but she was practically fluent in 3 MONTHS.
No wonder the Danes love her so much. They’re lucky to have her as is the BRF to have Catherine.

I’m over 60 years old and have had back surgeries and I have rheumatoid arthritis in multiple areas. I totally understand why the Queen of Denmark might not be able to continue being Queen. I have no doubt she abdicated because of her health. The other reason that some people have raised seems too trivial to be taken seriously.

My guess: when she started getting back pain she made her mind up: if surgery won't help, I have things to prepair. 1 1/2 years ago she suddenly stripped the children of the spare of the titles. They would have lost the titles when they turned 25 anyway, so there was a reason why she hurried the process right at that time. Then she had the surgery, but we have seen her unsteady with a cane after that. Her decision has nothing to do with any rumours or marriage conditions of Frederik and Mary. They already have a grown up next in lines ready with Christian and Isabella (she is 18 in 2 years).
And she is quite famous for the “umbrella tactic.” When something immaterial “scandal” hits the press, she will open the umbrella and wait for the “rain” to stop

I'll never forget the look on Frederik's face when he turned to look at Mary as she walked down the aisle towards him. Pure joy. Pure love. Same when William and Kate married. H & M will never understand or experience that level of love for another person.
It really was magical. Frederik's eyes were teary and his lips trembled a bit. His brother Joaquin put his hand on Frederik's back (like, you got this..) and Queen Margrethe beamed when Mary deeply curtsied in front of her. What a warm and wonderful wedding. She makes as American women look bad to the world. The majority of us are NOTHING like her. I would have adored to have the late Queen Elizabeth II as a grandmother in law. I didn’t realize until yesterday that lillabet was the queens nickname only used by her closest family. I also saw her alleged comment “it’s the only thing I own and now they’ve taken that” yesterday which sounds like she was already used to them treating her like shit. I’m not sure I’ve ever run across anyone more unlikable than Meghan Markle. And I’ve also given Harry somewhat of a pass because I’ve dealt with a narcissist before but after learning this info I’m done giving him the benefit of doubt. Low down
My grandmother used to repeat lots of old sayings (many of them seem to have sadly died out). The one that comes to mind here is 'marry in haste, repent at leisure', which I'm sure will (if has not already) become something Harry will experience for the rest of his miserable life.
Really love the part you say that you see the royal family as human beings. It is never about royal or common, they are all people, and it is about right or wrong, it is also about what is true and what is fake. For the same reason, I also watch news about them and support the right voice.

I have never heard a single soul talk bad about Mary, and i would sure like to meet her one day.
Prior to watching this, I had watched the 60 minutes interview. I had the exact same thought that you had in regard to MM upon hearing Mary say she didn’t know who he was until she was told a little while later. The Danish Royal Family isn’t as well known as the British Royal Family. As an American who is the same age as Meghan Markle I can promise you that there wasn’t a teenage girl in the US during the late 90’s and 2000’s who didn’t know who the BRF was. Both Princes were extremely popular over here. When you compare Meghan to other women who have married into royalty she clearly stands out and I believe it’s because it was obvious from the beginning she was wearing a mask.
Yet Markle would have you believe that she did not know anything about the BRF. I guess that fib is right up there with the letter to Proctor and Gamble, the Manhattan high speed car chase and the two red-headed blue-eyed children of part African descent.

Knowing the narcissist's mind, I'd posit that This One's Wife will be briefly directing her rage to Queen Mary, because in her mind, except for this that and the other thing, she could have snagged Prince Frederik and her rightful place would be beside him as Queen instead of Mary. She bewitched the wrong prince again, keeping her from her rightful place as a queen - and wasted all that time learning the wrong damned national anthem to boot. I wouldn't call Meg and Haz's courtship a "whirlwind", as Meg and her fans wanted us to believe it was, rather it was Fast and Furious, with Harry instructed by Meg sitting next to him while holding a map to drive recklessly, to turn the car right left and straight ahead.

From the outset, the then Princess Mary threw herself into her new role, her duties and, imparting her dedication to Denmark and the Danes. She is beloved and will make a wonderful Queen, as with our own Princess of Wales. As for the fake, fraud and, totally unsuitable Markle, there are no words, other than car parks do seem to be her natural habitat! There is one thing people should know about Denmark. No one sees it as wrong when friends visit each other across genders. You can borrow a room from a good friend and change your clothes in that room.
It has been said that the then Crown Prince Frederik had to visit a friend in Spain who fell ill. Ms Casanova is a mutual acquaintance of Frederik and his friend, and she stepped into the friend's place with hospitality. The pictures and his presence with a female acquaintance show absolutely nothing. The alleged affair is therefore fabricated by people and tabloid journalists, as the pictures show nothing whatsoever.
Frederik clearly does not hide the fact that he is visited by Ms. Casanova and that certainly means - he had nothing to hide.
Since none of us have been present, any interpretation of Mary's feelings will be speculation - not knowledge. Mary has recently said that one has to understand that her husband sometimes needs to be himself and get away from the public to recharge. One must strongly assume that he did not imagine that there were paparazzi photographers hiding behind all the trees in Spain - with the only goal - to put up rumors.
If Mary seemed somewhat upset and Frederik seemed worried during the Spanish royal couple's visit (I haven't noticed that), it may not surprise anyone as they have been under pressure as a result of the Spanish tabloid journalists' deliberate rumor spreading attitude and people's interference and condemnation without having knowledge of the facts at all.
Unfortunately, people choose to believe gossip without asking questions which is devastating and shameful. People lack consideration and education which is a big SoMe problem. The difference between gossip and sharing information can be seen in the motivation behind it. A person who gossips aims to build himself up by putting others in a bad light and exalt himself as a better person.
Don't judge people you don't know. It is deeply distasteful.

King Frederik and Queen Mary are my favorite Royals followed closely by the Waleses, Prince William and Princess Catherine. Queen Mary and Princess Catherine share many of the same qualities. I give the edge to Queen Mary because of the way she seamlessly blended into a brand new culture, language and all! Princess Catherine- did not have to face that challenge. That being said, I believe that if Princess Catherine had to face those challenges, she would have risen to the challenge like Queen Mary did.
I started off just like most people when Harry and Megan started dating. I was thrilled for harry Then during their engagement interview I started feeling like this is bull shit but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Something was not right. As a Canadian female boomer with loads of life experience I new something was wrong. My 30 year old daughter and I started to argue, she pressed me for answers and at that time I couldn’t elaborate on what it was other than , a real strong instinct. Like most it’s all so clear now. This woman was a fake a real live con artist. To this day my daughter and I don’t discuss either of them, it always turns to hard feelings. What amazed me most was how taken in my reasonable intelligent daughter whose opinion I always respected was completely taken in by this grifter. Amazing. It warms my heart to finally see these two start to get what they deserve. I’ve never felt such furry towards someone I had never met. @pa8315 I totally get what you are saying. I was born in GB, but my family emigrated to Canada when I was 10. All of my children were born here in Canada, my middle daughter, who is 32 now was totally taken in by her. Right off the bat. I, on the other hand, instinctively knew she was fake to the core. Just didn't know exactly how fake or rotten she was at that time. My daughter and I have had various disagreements over the whole way this played out. My daughter was of the mind that if only the Royal family treated her better, or differently, knew how to handle this situation better etc., it would have all worked out. I don't think that at all. I don't think in retrospect that anyone could have known the evil, or manipulative way in which this person would stoop to such lows. We don't speak about it as it is such a divide between us, even now.

It’s a similar story for my daughter and me. We avoided everything about Meghan. Similarly I was so surprised she was so easily fooled by Meghan’s manipulative ways.
I’m Danish originally but moved to the U.S. when I was 7 ( I’m 60 now😮), and then for three years in the late 90’s we lived in Batemans Bay Australia. And my daughter was born there in 2000. So I feel so connected to King Frederick and Queen Mary. I choked up when Queen Magrethe walked out the door after signing the papers. Love the Danish Royal family ( my parents used to see the Royals in Copenhagen all the time when they were growing up).Very down to earth. Now the Carparkles are another story! Thank you for another insightful update. I adore Mary Donaldson and her love story with Crown Prince Frederik. It reminds me of Queen Maxima (Argentinian) who met, came to love and married Crown Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. Maxima and Mary both left high level, well paying careers and immersed themselves in their new homes learning the language and the culture very quickly. They now both serve on many boards for women's health, children's education and safety and are fabulous ambassadors for their new countries. Migraine could have been so much more, but she lacked the character and integrity to serve, choosing to only take instead. Hazard made the worst possible decision for a wife, and as time goes by, we see just how flawed his own character is. Keep up the great work LBP and cheers from Canada!

The big difference is the British Royal family have a much higher profile than the Danish Royal family and are known all over the world, but you are right Mary put the work in to learn everything about the role and the country,however Megrain did nothing like this. There is another big difference between the British and the Danish royal families the British Royal family is tied into a religious history, the British Royals are historically seen as chosen by god rightly or wrongly,i'm not sure thats the same with the Danish but perhaps someone can correct me on that.
It is not really about size of profile when you live in a monarchy. Not for any of our many smaller monarchies in Europe. It is not a competition. The only thing that matters for a monarch is that he/she is loved WITHIN his/her country. The French revolution was the game changer. The Royal Houses only survive nowadays by not turning the nation against them. And nowadays their role is symbolic, as they have lost the political power in the meantime. The only competition would be that they privately compare with their cousins on the other thrones how loved they are in their own country.

Katherine, HRH the Princess of Wales, and Queen Mary of Denmark are women to admire and look up to as decent and hard working. Women who have made their role in life as wives and mothers as well as being married to very prominent men. They are prominent in their own right, they both help their husbands in their roles as monarch and future monarch. Then, in the same sentence, we have Markle, who, by a long stretch of the imagination, has dumped herself on the British royal family like a dose of some awful decease and is given the title Duchess. She has infected the world with the awful bile and lies she infected into the royal family. Harry has made his bed and has to live with it. As for taking our late Queen Elizabeth's sacred and private nickname 'Lilibet' for her 'daughter', well, this was a deliberate action to cause upset to our late monarch. IF this 'child' exists.

I completely agree with your view on Royalty. They are just human, like the rest of us, but held up to a higher standard. I’ve been a big fan of Catherine since passing her in a supermarket in Holyhead, North Wales, about a month after she and William got married. She was just focusing on doing her shopping, not trying to gain attention. I didn’t even spot security following her (though I’m sure they must have been doing so discreetly). I just thought it was great that she was trying to retain some normality. It was funny seeing people in the supermarket cafe. The word was obviously spreading that the then Duchess of Cambridge was in the building, so some people stood up and were craning their necks. However, no one left the cafe to follow or pester her.

Anyone gossiping about Mary's marriage, please listen: I was quite stunned when I watched Australian news clips on RUclips and read some comments. I'm Danish. Many were surprised that we don't really react to rumours of an affair. That we would "sweep it under a rug".
But we have a different attitude to this: IF there has been adultery at all, it's just not a public issue. We raise one eyebrow, but it's really a matter that only Mary and Frederik will deal with as husband and wife. We don't see that family as a Big Brother project. They are real people and have a long life to live dealing with ups and downs like everyone else.
So if you love Mary: she needs space to have a normal marriage and is probably happy that the Danes don't interfere. Adultery would not be morally very nice, but it is not a crime. Nobody except them knows if there was anything going on at all. Adultery or not: the gossip must be pretty be awful for Mary either way.
Here is a tip. Sofia of Sweden also married the Spare. And Sofia was from a background a little similar toMeghan( reality TV) Like Meghan, there wasn’t a language problem. And what has Sofia done? Nothing shady!!!

We’re all a product of our upbringing. Mary and Catherine were obviously brought up by loving parents who set a lot of store on character and good manners and led by example. Despite the Markle family being nice enough people, there is a fair amount of dysfunction there and Meghan most likely navigated her way through her childhood getting whatever she wanted through a combination of lies, charm and manipulation - tricks that worked very well for her until she married a prince, whereupon her poor character was on show for the whole world to see. There is no exact formula for raising children but looking at the families of Catherine and Mary in contrast to the family of Meghan, it’s pretty obvious that environment has played a part in how all three have turned out. Unfortunately, although it is never too late to aspire to be a better person, Meghan hasn’t sussed yet that she is of poor character, has terrible manners, and that although beauty can get you far, after 40 it fades and then your most important asset is your character.

Queen Mary has done Australia incredibly proud. Never putting a foot wrong from the moment she arrived in Frederick's life. Respecting the heck out of the institution and country she has married into and done everything she can to uphold its traditions and to find a way to help Frederick take it into the future by doing her darndest to ingratiate herself with the Danish public.
She truly is worthy of Queen status.
As for the allegations of Frederick having an affair, I just can't believe he would be so careless, the way he was, if he was having an affair. He was careless doing what he did, sure, and as someone who has lived his life in the public eye, must have known how it would look and how the press would run with it, but it's precisely that fact that makes me think he didn't have an affair.
As a beloved future monarch with a beautiful wife who has stood by him and supported him and worked so hard to become the future queen, if he wanted to have an affair it would have to be a very closely monitored and orchestrated situation to ensure the press never found out. To openly flaunt it in public would be nothing short of incredibly stupid on his behalf.
As for nothing being said, royal families don't talk publicly about scandals, they remain tight lipped, so nothing new there.
I have always marveled at how LAZY MM was as a member of the royal family. She did nothing to prepare herself for the role of an lifetime other than go to “tea lessons” once in California. As an actress, one would think she would know how to prepare. Many actors have to learn to play musical instruments, dance, ride horseback, learn dialogue in foreign languages for a movies. The list is endless. But for the role that would be the rest of her life (presumably) she did nothing! NOTHING!
Queen Mary worked like a dog learning Danish, studying Danish history, culture, etc. She took deportment classes so that she could acquire the skills necessary to present herself a worthy of a royal title. What a contrast with MM! Thanks for highlighting. Chalk and cheese!
