I work with 1st grade autistic children and I KNOW how hard it can be for them to give up any sense of control especially with there own belongings so him being so patient and using his coping skills saying “this is so hard” instead of getting really upset is incredible to see and shows how much he really loves that little girl

I am 16 and I have autism, and dinosaurs have been my autism obsession ever since I was 4 years old. I know how hard it can be to share, and I'm proud of him for sharing. I also understand how hard it is to be patient and he did a great job being patient.

The fact that he’s willing to share his precious items…wow. There are fully functioning adults who have yet to master that concept, and here he is excelling. He’s right. Sometimes it is hard sharing something you love with another, but the joy it will bring them makes up for the perceived loss.

Craig is a good man and a great uncle! My adult son has autism and it's very hard to be interrupted and asked to leave an activity you're focused on to do something you haven't prepared for that doesn't produce immediate results. I'm amazed at this young man's patience while at the same time acknowledging some of his frustration.

I have had friends who have ASD of varying degrees. My friend Jean has mild AS and so does my boyfriend. Another has it more severe and can't talk. I worked in an institution where many were autistic, but not as "retarded" as once thought.
