I remember watching Yesterday. I had only knew their most popular songs and a few titles. I remember laying in my bed, and Jack played this song in front of the TV people. And I listened and was in utter shock. How a beautiful song, I’ll never forget that feeling- the moment when I realized that, They are more than just a band
Thank you. This is one of their best songs ever. Starting to learn the beatles song and realized how simple their songs are but at the same time hidden something genius and not always easy to master.
Fairly new to guitar and yes the f chord really does f me over but I'm getting there, this is the best version of one of my favorite tracks of all time , you did an amazing job on this and now i can finally make a sound vaguely similar,, plenty of practice , thank you 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I am a three chord strummer, who wants to expand my abilities. This is a great step by step instruction of this lovely song. I really enjoy your approach and although I am not there yet, I want to incorporate so much more into my repertoire. I Joined the club and am elated I did. The PDF’s are very helpful. Thank you!
Amazing singer and brilliant guitar teacher been trying to learn for about 10 years now finally found this site wow! Just did your barre chords lessons you make them so easy to understand and play.
Hey Steve, glad you're making progress with my lessons, that's great to hear. I'll keep the tutorials and other resources coming both here and via Patreon.com/Swiftlessons. Enjoy your practice. -Rob
It was worth looking at this lesson, even though I now realize I first learned it elsewhere (about a year before the video date). The slight use of more than one string with the low E is something I missed first time around -or maybe the other teacher did it differently. Also ( in "section B" ),I played a B minor chord in both lines where you have a D and B major respectively following the F sharp minor. I will put that last "mistake" on me. Thanks.Great falsetto!
I have been listening to this song A LOT recently, this came out perfectly for me. I love this channel and the lessons. I would also like to request a lesson for "Strawberry Fields Forever" by The Beatles.
You are a great guitar player ( and uke player, too!) besides being a skilled teacher I have a confession to make, though: I keep watching your videos because you are a fantastic singer! Mister, you've got some voice!
Hey thanks, glad you enjoyed this one. Yes, that Guild GAD-30r is a great little guitar, too bad they discontinued that exact model. Were you working for guild prior to Cordoba's acquisition?
Excellent lesson mate. Nice feeling of the songs chord structure and a nice tribute to Lennon's voice. Your timing of measures are nicely detailed. Could not ask for more. Blessings jack
Ooh, what a lovely voice. Hey, I'm an old guy saying this. No, really, your voice conveys a genuine love feeling for this song, definitely enjoying yourself singing this masterpiece. That high note is a little tough on you I notice, but still a really good singing voice. I came here looking for that famous 19th century Victorian guitar break, which you do not play. Think I'll subscribe anyway. ciao.
Rob... You are such a great teacher... I have played in bands since the 60's ( but never guitar ) I have retired.. and I built my own guitar ( L P copy ) This was one of my late wife's favorite Beatles songs Thank you.. How about a lesson from Paul's "My Love"
Really nice lesson. Thanks for really showing all the aspects cleanly. I also had a laugh during the first half it looks like your arm is coming out of your mouth. Thanks a lot man, awesome teacher.
Your lesson is excellent and very accurate, your vocal not so much. Still love your passion for teaching so much going to join your patrione page at $10 !! A under rated song really sort after is Don't Let Me Down specially George's jazzy part.
Thanks Paul, glad you're happy with this tutorial. I'll be back next week with a couple more song tutorials, that will be my main focus for the next couple months. Have fun!

GREAT LESSON!
For those that wonder why The Beatles still sell tons of Music ? This song is just one of the many reasons why . Bravo ! Excellent Lesson .
Dave Brewer hey brow the song is compose after the beatles seprated
that song is a solo of john
No it's from their 1965 Rubber Soul album actually
@@tyronetanco7941 ? John wrote it in /65
If someone is wondering that, they’re clueless of good music.
So yeah, probably lots of people
There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

This was my mom's favorite song. She died a few weeks ago I am learning it so I can feel closer to her.
The transition from D Major to D minor creates a very laid back vibe~

in the very beginning why do you barre the first four strings when you only play one of them
He says he sometimes sweeps across the whole A cord.
because it's rad!

This is great. Can you just substitute an A7 chord for the A/G? Since the G note is included in the A7 and it may be a cleaner stroke?
