I made a comment on another one of your videos that I was struggling to figure out my planning. I finally stopped to think about what I want. I like to decorate so I’m going to keep a bullet journal for the decoration and I’ll keep track of books and podcasts. I’ll keep a weeks for day to day tasks and that can just be pen. I’m going to try this anyway. You hit the nail on the head about emulating others, I’ve tried that and I’m just never happy.
Thanks for watching and commenting!! I think people feel pressure to complete their planners the way others do or they feel bad when things don’t work out completely forgetting the purpose of why they even have a planner in the first place. People should do what makes them happy and forget about what others are doing.
Aww.. Heidi, this was so good I had to watch it twice, lol! Such great advice. The more I get into planning, the more I'm realizing just how personal it is. I really enjoy my Hobonichi Weeks and Cousin planners, but I have also gone back to some old faithful style planners because I am comfortable using them. Thanks for sharing these great tips. I love your channel, girl! :)
I love this! I’m using a Cousin for my sticker/memory planning and journaling and just a plain notebook for all thing’s functional. I’m sure it will change before the end of the year. I actually want to start using my Cousin functionally and my notebook for memory planning and journaling with all my stickers. I’m enjoying all your videos! Thanks for sharing!
Great video - I also prefer a minimal spread. I'm happiest with a bit of color from my mildliners and the occasional bit of wash tape along with pens and the hobonichi "basic" stencil for drawing boxes, speech bubbles and a straight edge.

Thanks for watching!!! I am interested to see how my thought change (or don’t change) as the year goes on!
@@heidisplanning lol! Mine too
Mimicking others is a good way to start and try out stuff though.
Very true…thanks for watching!

Thanks!! I think I have found what I am comfortable with in my spreads but I know I will be changing up every once in awhile to test what I like.
