I was at that game. I remember Sheed trying to go in the stands and his teammates holding him back. I went home to watch espn and nothing about it came up.

I had 50% off coupons I'd use to purchase tickets in the upper tier for most of those seasons, but for that game my GF's sister was visiting us so to show her a good time, we got to the arena early, sat close for warmups, got her a few autographs, then stealthily stayed seated in the lower bowl, not suspiciously close but about 12 rows off the floor. It felt a little TOO close when all that was going down at the end! And then to tune in Warriors Radio that night and learn about Chris Mills and friends in SUVs trying to keep the Blazers bus from leaving... wild night.
