It's like one grenade to take out the sentry turret, yet like 2 clips to take it out with a gun. I've lost so many turrets to a grenade right after putting it down.

Then when you try harder, everyone in the lobby tries harder since they don’t want to go negative either, OP guns and sliders come out, and the cycle continues... SBMM is anti-casual. So I been leveling up my guns on the nuketown 24/7 and I play solo for the most part. I gave up trying to control middle when my whole team doesn’t even leave spawn and so I decided to just camp and be a total scumbag and never had so much fun looking at one spot the whole game. People have even sent me messages hating on me camping, they want me to run to the middle to just die vs a full party.
If treyarch broke away from activision and made another fps with the players in mind not the shareholders they would clean up. Activision has ruined everything with their algorithms

If you damage someone and someone else kills them shortly after (before their health regenerates I would imagine) it still counts as an elimination for you
even if they toned down the SBMM or bring a separate Rank and casual playlist, you will still gonna get players doing jump slide try hard. thats how people play these days. you can use COD mobile as an example that game have separate Rank playlist and casual playlist is pretty much random sometimes its got mostly bots but when match making find enough players to put in a casual match then its sweaty like Legendary rank. and mostly you will match up against legendary rank players you can easily see legendary rank frame on their profile. i am telling you this from my recent experience.

I got 2.07 KD and 2.46 EKDR but damn this game is so sweaty. Every lobby that i join is like pro league tournament. When i want to chill and level up my guns in nuketown i always ended using my main gain because of the ridiculous SBMM. It's not fun anymore.

Thunder disable the xplay. I did it and won’t be going back til the game is on life support or they add a console Vs console option. The PC snipers abusing the quick scope mechanics with MnK while playing Nuketown just confirmed what I already knew would happen when they introduced PC and console matchmaking.
These suggestions will probably anger a lot of the community but I’ve always wanted a matchmaking option to join new lobbies only, no joining games already in progress. I honestly wouldn’t mind waiting the extra minute or so for a fresh lobby (while we are adding in options, add in a LOCAL only matchmaking). If Activision were to introduce this feature then they will need to implement a penalty for people that quit mid match, something along of the lines of waiting 30 seconds for every match you quit so this would discourage more people not to leave early. The more matches you quit then the longer you have to wait till you can play again. I know one of the Halo games had this penalty and I thought it was fair and just, I mean just don’t leave the game in the first place then you won’t have a penalty

SBMM is definitely in the game but I think most players today are just much better at COD. The number of pure noobs is very low and most people have been playing for awhile so the are probably average players.
The skill based matchmaking is absolutely insane I agree but the team balancing is by far the worst. The opposing team is composed of galactic warriors and my team is composed of mentally disoriented space cadets. I have to play out of my mind and body every single game just to still lose. I have so many games where I’ve dropped 30,40, & even 50 kills and still end up losing cause my teammates are getting feasted off of. I average a 2.07 kill/death ratio.

I don’t even have the motivation to play Zombies anymore after all the ridiculous nerfs. If they want to strongarm me into playing their god awful multiplayer by trying to get me to stop playing zombies, then I’ll just stop playing altogether. I definitely don’t need CoD anymore to keep myself entertained - there’s plenty of other games out there that I’ll enjoy over CoD.
