Wes is so dang funny. He is the obviously very opinionated and doesn’t always say the nicest things lol but I enjoy that! Him and Amanda are great together too!
This podcast makes my week. I’m so glad I found this because yall are different from everyone else. By far my favorite survivors and so glad you brought on my favorite Challenger. Carson - I bought your puzzles! Keep em coming!
I finally figured out the “vibe” this podcast reminds me of…. My high school lunch table. Also, best episode yet. Almost skipped because I was unfamiliar with the guests, but yeah…. Best one yet
I love wes, but at first the challenge was like road rules seasons with real world contestants, and they didn't start eliminating people off until season 5, which was 2002, and survivor was inspired by that sweedish show called expedition robinson
Dang I didn’t even know you guys had a podcast! Carolyn you’re one of my top 3 favorite survivor players!! Big time challenge fan been watching since 2000 and Wes being one of my favorite players. Was so good to see you guys choppin it up. I wish the challenge would cast more survivor players. Shout out to Chris Underwood for winning challenge USA 2.
Really enjoyed this! Love Wes and enjoyed meeting his wife! Very entertaining and you guys are really doing such a good job of not talking over each other anymore.
Fact Check Wes: The Real World/Road Rules Challenge (now “The Challenge”) first aired on June 1, 1998. It was initially titled Road Rules: All Stars and featured cast members from The Real World and Road Rules. Survivor premiered later, on May 31, 2000, with its first season. This places The Real World/Road Rules Challenge as predating Survivor by two years. However, Survivor is often credited with popularizing the reality competition genre in its modern form. Not quite half a decade but technically earlier. However, the original concept for Survivor is based on Swedish “Expidition Robinson” from 1997 - so I don’t think the Challenge can take credit for Survivor lol
I don't watch The Challenge but when I watch Traitors or House of Villains, the Traitors people are waaay too intense for me. (My two favorite reality shows are also Housewives and Drag Race). At least now I understand why.
Oh trust me, house of villains took me a minute! I was like are these people acting???? What is this crap?? Hahahaha but now I love it I don’t need a ton of drama but I need some!!!
Okay what Wes is failing to mention is the challenge and those shows weren’t on islands and in jungles where you’re starving & living with nothing. Lol the challenge you’re fed and cozy. Your brain and body have fuel. And they vote but only to put you in the elimination challenges. Survivor they straight up vote you out directly
'fed and cozy" no, at least six people get injured or medically evacuated from the Challenge every season. The physical toll The Challenge takes on your body in two months is more dangerous than 29 days sitting around eating rice and coconuts on a beach. The food is terrible on the Challenge and the "housing" is famously bad. Sometimes they get no sleep, no food. After running or swimming all day. Some challenges require them to eat bull testicles and drink pigs blood. They sleep in bunkers and houses in Vietnam with no air-conditioning and cold Argentinian winters with no heating. The competitions require so much more endurance and are more dangerous (heights, arid/freezing climates/altitude, contact sports) than Survivor. A full season of the Challenge is also two months, not just 29 days.
@the fact their bodies are starving makes up for the time difference and only until recently survivor was 39 days… and exactly they’re experienced gamers so they’re FAR more prepared. And I’ll repeat how underestimated it is how hard it is to perform and think straight when you have little to no food to fuel you. The challenge is a far less dimensional game. Be the best athletic specimen and you’re way more likely to succeed whereas survivor takes way more social and strategic chops
You know what’s giving me life?! This podcast!! I love it so much!
Girl... this podcast gives me life! Y'all are my favorite dynamic duo. Love how honest and fun you are. And Carolyn, your skin is glowing!

Yes- can't wait for Season 3 of the Traitors! I agree, that is really a great show.
I finally figured out the “vibe” this podcast reminds me of…. My high school lunch table.

Oh my god that opening 😂
Yay Wes! Looking forward to this!
Great pod and guests!
I would love to see Wesley and Mary from Once Upon an Island as guests!
Marriage and duo podcasts require chemistry. Cheers to both of these couples for balancing each other’s personalities so well.

Yas girl sue and her contour! ❤
Dude, Wes is on point. Andy is an AI research ASSISTANT
ahh first comment & i love this podcast soooooo much
The real world Road rules challenge started in April 1998 and survivor started at the end of May in 2000 so Wes is right
🏖️🏝️💞lov u both. Yr awareness is needed. You spill the tea we don't comprehend.

Lmao he has a full head of hair! Nice and thick 😂 for real tho
@ ok I’ll take your word for it Carolyn! 🤣
Wes is wrong!! Survivor is a direct Rip off of the Swedish show “Expedition Robinson”
Carson could beat Josh in an elimination on The Challenge
There is something about you two that really disarms your guests. It’s like they forget they have the ability to lie to be socially gracious
Omg the Walmart Q
