Hey David! Amazing content - I think you've talked me into doing the 400 with the chiller kit, are you making another video to explain how to DIY an Active Aqua or similar chiller after using the chiller kit?
Are you able to recommend what video to watch to connect a 1 HP Water Chiller after the Chiller Kit has been installed on the IB 400

Any chiller! Just need the proper connections which are easy
I’m torn between the penguin that doesn’t need any drilling for the 400 and cost less or the Ice Barrel that looks more compact, more features and keeps everything uniform but cost more. Looks like the drilling is minimal thanks to your video. Appreciate the tutorial!
Glad to help! I’ve not heard a lot of positives about the penguin chillers. No personal experience. Feel my DIY kit is better for the money and never had one fail to my knowledge

Awesome video as expected. Id guess we can use the 500 DIY setup and connections instead of your original 400 DIY or do you prefer that setup with the pump inside the barrel?
Trying to diy a chiller with the pump outside the barrel in-line, on the 400, with active aqua or similar chiller, any suggestions or videos on that installation?
Thanks for the video - I’m waiting on my IB Chiller and have this conversion kit in my garage. Going to install in the next couple of weeks. Have you heard any updates on the chiller?

Nice video, David! It's about time IB came up with this solution. Going forward, the 400 should come from the factory chiller ready. I guess while they're at it, make an insulated 400. Classic look and design.

that’s exactly what i’m wishing for! i’d get the 300 but my husband is 6’5” so it’s gonna be a tight fit. i want the barrel but i also want it to be insulated. the 500 just looks too large and not easily moveable.

Great videos! I have a question for you. So I went out of town for a week, drained my plunge, but left the filter in the machine for the week which was sitting in a couple inches of standing water. When I got back I noticed the filter unit smells rancid. Even after cleaning it and running through fresh water through the system. So even though the plunge was drained… I’m assuming, it was from left over water sitting in the filter/hoses/chiller. Has this ever happened to you? Do you know a way to get the smell out of the filter unit? I obviously put a new filter in, but I still can’t get rid of the smell!
Dang! I would recommend keeping the units running even when out of town (that’s what I do) so that doesn’t happen. Best thing to do it take that housing out and hand clean with some good soap. Maybe run in dishwasher. I know what u mean I have a chiller that broke a while ago and experienced the same thing.

What about the wires in the water David from the pump?
They haven’t been an issue but you can always unplug before getting in 😁
I did the DIY consistent with your previous video. But I used 1 inch hoses. How would I use this system if the hole is 3/4 inch? And the piece that goes in the hole is for a three-quarter inch hose.

I have a sneaking suspicion that IB will be coming out with an insulated 400 in the near future. It makes no sense to continue producing an uninsulated one when the 300 is the same price. I can not imagine that the 400 is still selling well.
