I’ve had Shamanilla for about week: it’s an easy-reach summer vanilla. Not too heavy or gourmand. Very unisex! A no-brainer at this price point, no regrets.
I purchased Paper Soap by J-Scent from Ministry of Scent(they are awesome)and I got it today. LOVE!!! Thank you for doing that review, had never heard of them and I am so happy with this soapy, long lasting fragrance.
Flower me please was ablind buy. I regret it. Doesnt smell good on my skin. Vetiverich smells so good followed by wood legacy. Honorable mentions Livre & zara ocean are bangers. Love your reviews
I'm so crushed that Vetiverich seems to be sold out and seemingly discontinued after having been released only last year!!! I just discovered a tester last week and I'm obsessed with it! 😭😭😭
I live in NYC and these are available in-store here. My favorite of this collection is (Flower Please). This fragrance is very similar to Petale d'Ambre ( released late 2023). Petale d'Ambre was targeted to women but it is very unisex. (Flower Please) is an amazing scent that is very unisex but its lasting power leaves you wanting more.
I'm with you on this -- I've tried Flower Please, Vetiverich, and Leather Fever. Totally expected to like the latter two, given my tastes in notes, but was surprised (a lot) to most prefer Flower Please out of these three. Also, agree it's totally unisex.
I bough leather Jardin in the old bottle a few months ago here in the UK in the women’s section and have just realised that the new bottle is displayed in the men’s fragrance section - very interesting! It’s definitely a unisex fragrance but maybe Zara have realised it sells better for men? I absolutely love it though!
My previous comment disappeared somehow. Recently, I started becoming interested in fragrances again and tend to lean towards clean musk fragrances. I really enjoyed your review of the Zara/Olivia Giacobetti fragrances. Livre Blanc was my favourite of the four and the one I purchased. Zara's fragrances, to me, tend to fall part in the dry down but Livre Blanc doesn't, neither does it give me a migraine which a lot of Zara fragrances do. I pointedly looked to see if you had a review for the Vibe Variations collection and was pleased that you did. Your two favourite ones were the ones that piqued my interest, based on their descriptions on the website, so I'm keen to try the Flower Please as it seems to fit my clean musk profile. Why didn't you review Wood Legacy, which is also part of the collection? I would've loved your take on it. The perfumer for Wood Legacy is Alex Dadier and the perfumer for Leather Fever is Amandine Galliano. Didn't see info for the others yet. Love your in-depth reviews by the way.
Tried the Ebony Wood in that 100ml new bottle and I could tell it's been reformulated, it smells brighter in the opening like citrusy bright but same in the dry down it also feels lighter. Leather Jardin is also one of my faves I can't believe I would like it. Hoping they would also bring the new collection here in the Philippines.
The problem with Zara is that Wood Legacy just appeared. When I ordered these it wasn't on the website. Very strange I'll see if I can get it and review it. it's quite strange. Maybe USA online store didn't have it yet. I'm curious as it's created by Alexis Dadier and I enjoy his creations. :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy Probably some transport delays. But if you get the chance, try it as well! 😊 Btw have you ever tried Massimo Dutti fragrances? I'm not sure if they are available in the US. They are a little bit more expensive than Zara, but really good quality and also created by great perfumers (Ane Ayo, Nathalie Lorson, Fabrice Pellegrin and many more).
I’m amazed to see that these are available in Australia! Usually we are months behind the rest of the world. You’ve made me want to smell a few of these Sebastian 😊 Thank you for your reviews.
Ohh I was waiting for this review as I had my nose on Flower Please and Shamanilla. I think the latter name is a portmanteau of shaman + vanilla. I loved it! I wish you could update us on longevity as well, but alas. Thank you for this thorough review!
I have 20mls of Shamanilla & Flowers Please. They're fully unisex IMO. FP is a soft, mixed floral and smells fresh and clean but not soapy. Good for sensitive environments. It will waft a bit when it warms on the skin with little sillage but it lasts on hair/clothes. I am ok with this! Shamanilla reminds me a bit of JHAG Vanilla Vibes. Both are quite unique to my nose and I will be purchasing full sized bottles.
Zara basically adds shipping costs and import taxes to the prices of their items outside of Spain and I think Portugal. In Germany, these fragrances are just two Euros more than in Spain. In Australia on the other hand, Zara fragrances are priced more like designer fragrances.
I have the 75 mL paper-label re-release of Leather Jardin and it's great too. Tried to get 2 more backups at the time, but Zara ended up cancelling my order for some reason. Glad they brought it back...although at double the price. 😬 Following its obvious success, I really hope Jo keeps ressurecting some of the classic accords for those bored with the mainstream. Maybe....flankers? 😵💫
I think you're right about Zara scents being better after they macerate. I bought A sweet Pastry in Paris after one of your reviews a few years ago. My bottle is 100x's better today than it was the day I bought it, very concentrated, delicious and long lasting. Originally I could only get a 3 hour wear from it, now it's last all day.
I really appreciate your videos when you try these fragrances and give your first thoughts live. I like seeing your reaction. I very honest reaction comes through the screen. 👍
In my country, the new version of Leather Jardin was first (and still is) in a smoky-green heavy bottle (and at a higher price) before the one you have appeared. For me, each of these fragrances is different. The first one has the greatest complexity, depth and power - its unique character (in my opinion, when you compare it with Aramis, Cabochard and Magie Noir - Leather Jardin is the winner here) The second one is very heavy, suffocating, with little citrus and quickly fades into a very earthy patchouli. The third is most similar to the first, stripped of spices, less bitter green, leathery and wax, visibly lighter. So all the advantages and character of the first version that people fell in love with have been lost. Plus, the new bottle doesn't match the scent and is just uncomfortable to carry around. If the first quality is not returned, this smell will quickly disappear. What thoughtlessness on their part - they created a pearl that they underestimated and could have made a fortune.
I love these Zara videos Sebastian, the only drawback is trying to keep so many offerings straight they use leather in so many names. I am still trying to find the ones I liked from your last video I didn't grab..LOL. Cheers Brutha😎
Thank you for posting another great video. I have been looking in my local Zara store for this collection since it dropped on the website. I really appreciate your review, it makes me feel confident in blind buying the line. I trust your reviews, as we seem to have very similar tastes. I agree that the line gives me Byredo vibes, as well as Maitiere Premiere too. I have also been looking for the perfumer(s) attached to this line. I was able to find (Wood Legacy)'s perfumer was listed as Alexis Dadier. Thanks again, Sebastian.
They do sell them in stores, at least in Europe. I bought two minis (Shamanilla and Wood Legacy) from this collection just because I'm an addict, but on the whole the collection is on the cheaper, disappointing side of things. An okay day wear. Wood Legacy, Shamanilla, and Vetiverich are the ones I found somewhat interesting - in that order. Cheers.
Leather jardin. I did buy the 90ml. Then i bought a backup bottle which was 75ml. And now you did buy a 100 ml. I really cant understand them. ( am talking from Romania). Yesterday i bought their wood collection nr.1 and nr3. Amazingly nr3 smells like alexandria from xerjoff. And perform wonderufly
Just got the Vetiver Rich...going off your expression made me think it was great fragrance, but it was a big let down!😔 It smells very close to John Varvatos Vetiver, which I already have!

Ugh yesterday I purchased Leather Jardin and it should arrive tomorrow and now I'm scared that it has been reformulated after you saying it's weaker. Did the 1st one perform the same after 1st spray or not? 😭😭😭 Also my Zara store got these new scents instantly when they released them (I'm in Europe) and my friend and I went there and tried these and they were so weak you couldn't feel them on paper stripes few seconds after spraying. Disappeared from our skins as well even though we oversprayed...
Personally, I found a few interesting fragrances in last year's Zara's releases. Unfortunately, they are all discontinued by now... This year, I haven't smelled anything I like so far, everything seems like a new version of the earlier bestsellers. The most popular Jo Malone fragrances have been re-released in new bottles, I thought they would stay, but right now they're mostly sold out / unavailable where I am. I love Vetiver Pamplemousse for the summer, I regret not stocking up on it. The line you're reviewing hasn't impressed me though...
Try Nocturnal Life, For Him Red Intense, Red Temptation Sandalwood extrait, Vibrant Leather Explosion and Bohemian Oud. Magnificent Black is another one. In the last few years, Zara has released some strong stuff. For some reason, Sebastian hasn’t gotten around to them.

Yes I have done them! ;)
Zara needs to make their stuff perform better only reason I don’t ever buy any is because they don’t last long or project
