I help my family with half my pension every month I could do to cut back a big though,I use grid down technics to keep my bills down ,I keep my bills affordable if I didn't do this my bills would be to expensive as it is for every one round the world at present ,I reuse some waters to ,to cut down my water bill due to health I'm lucky they put me in a good Tariff ,using grid down technics has been good training and necessary to cut my bills down I've still a bit of training to do for the Autumn and winter ,I want have much heating and am not aloud other forms if heaters except a electric one and they are to expensive ,so I have a snow suite,tent handy blankets ,or I can sit and sleep in Kitchen I've got three lantern candles it takes the chill of ,a carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher and fire blanket ,I always have a little air comming in when candles are on I have to turn them off before I go sleep ,there's rules here about open fires and log burners so not possible to have them ,im not aloud paraffin or gas so the winter for me will be a bit tough I've managed most winters only if we happen to get a really cold 🥶 ❄️ one it will be a issue as I have to keep my preps at certain tempt ,I make my own soda breads cheaper ,I make my own cakes scones and pies and soups,there is ways to manage it takes time and patients and a kit if effort ,I pray things change for u 👍🤗🙏💖🇬🇧

I don't store dried beans for long term any more, after discovering that old beans that I had stored for several years did not get soft after cooking two days. I now can my dried beans. They are cooked and ready to heat and eat. I have seen others have had the same experience with their beans.
We waited in the ER back in the end of May for over 12 hours after a traffic accident in Cleveland. Stay away from the ER unless absolutely necessary. Everyone was very nice, just super busy. I agree keep your vehicles in good shape. Review your insurance policies. Check your fire extinguishers. Buy food for your pets. Wet cat food seems to sell out fairly fast if something goes wrong. Another beautiful day in the Cleveland area sunny and upper 70's.
Just spent 12 hrs at our er. It was a circus. Gurneys in the hallway all full. It’s chaos. Lack of drs. The staff are amazing but so overworked and overwhelmed and usually underpaid. I watched junkies, and elderly be abandoned in the waiting room. It’s gonna be a nightmare bill, I’m sure. And it’s not going to get better
Interesting I don't see the same price increase picture here in Thailand Bangkok..or nearby se-asian countries like vietnam cambodia singapore indonesia Malaysia where I travel often in my work based in Bangkok. Doubles as fire fighting reservoir 2000 gallons can fight a decent sized fire. Store bulk wheat from a farmer in barrels easy to keep secure from moisture and rodents. We keep 30 barrels for corn barley wheat and oats and it cheaper than bag feeds. Also storing soy meal is easy in barrels. We have short barrels for salt each holds 150lbs of salt. The kind we get is pure salt for canning and drying and curing. Ionized salt for the table is important too. Folks if you can find powder for loading I suggest you grab it. Even if you don't know how to load it will have tremendous value to those that do. I have increased my supply over the years to ride out the thin supply of hunting rounds. That ammunition is nearing extinction.

I have heard that if you add a teaspoon of baking soda to them when you cook them that it will fix this. 😊
I do both. I store dry beans in maylar, vacuum sealed in 5 gallon buckets. Maybe i will open one soon and see if they soften after boiling/cooking.
