    I feel you Rob but you know what’s worst about Citizen ??? The damn date window they think our vision is getting better while getting older.

      That’s why they invented prescription glasses 😅

    Great topic. This Ecozilla was my first "crush watch," purchased back in 2005 for $200. Yes, it gave me wrist claustrophobia. After 8 years, I gave it away. I've had a few since and I believe the new straps are less rigid. It is a classic design and is an iconic model.

    Titanium would help. Mine feels like five pounds on my wrist. It’s still worth it to me. I wear it. Not every day, and never for a week solid, but I do enjoy wearing it. It’s great in low light settings. If I ever make it back to diving, this one will be on my wrist for my first dive back!

      Well, considering that this is a watch designed to be worn underwater its actual weight is irrelevant as underwater it feels much lighter as water pushes your body out making things feeling lighter.

    This gives me Hope. I sold mine 5 years ago...and today Just ordered a new one. Wanted a Titanium but could not locate one, so settled on standard model. Should be here by Saturday!🤞

    Just read the great Jack Foster's love letter 'Best Of The Beasts' over at Hodinkee (June 28, 2022), then read all the comments. "It's not the dive watch Gotham needs, but it's the dive watch Gotham deserves.". And if you don't like the strap, Suppaparts has you covered. their adapters will mount very easily to fit any 24mm strap.

    Had a titanium auto-zilla on a bracelet years ago that was stolen. Didn't love love it... but I do have a regular quartz one on the way in...just for giggles.

      Yes , surprised that i had to buy it from third party, citizen should sell it with the watch, more important than the diving bottle or stuff...
      They would make even more money.

    This watch is a behemoth, I tried it on a few years ago and found it crazy cool. I just kept laughing when I had it in my wrist lol.

      Nothing compared to a pocket watch worn on a special wrist holder like they used to during WWI. We are talking about 70 mm or 2.75 inch overall diameter here. Love it.

  • @jefferyneu3915
    @jefferyneu3915 Год назад

    The bracelet option definitely helps balance the weight on wrist. But, a heavy engineer style like I have on mine makes it feel like I am lifting weights when I wear it!

  • @mikep5478
    @mikep5478 2 года назад

    Lately I wear more of my 40-42mm sizes. Some call them kids size watches, but I say wear what you enjoy not what others think. I own many behemoth size trinkets purchased in the past and I still wear them occasionally. I love my full-size Megalodons, 45mm Shark Divers with a lug to lug of 54mm. I rock them right along with my Omega RAILMASTER.

    I ordered one and ended up returning it. It was so uncomfortable and the I just couldn't connect with it. I normally love big chunky dive watches too. Me, I'm getting into smaller 39-40mm watches which I used to hate. I can't go below 39mm though...seems to small for me.

    I have owned 7 ecozilla over the years. I love it and I only sell to fund another watch knowing that I’ll be buying an ecozilla again. They can be had preowned for under $200 and after owning the tizilla and the autozilla I can honestly say the ecozilla is the best of the bunch

    • @sorinsrn5442
      @sorinsrn5442 Год назад

      I think now, after quite a few ecozilla's ownd, you need to get an autozilla 1000m. Thats the one to keep for the rest of the life for me!!:)

    I think it's a great watch for those who like it, to me the bezel turns me off, and I admit it's a me thing. Yes, it's quirky and no negativity to those who have and wear one. I don't mind larger watches. Citizen eco pro divers are a great bargain.

    Case it a bit mental for the 300m depth rating ! I've 1000m watches that are just normal size, I can see why it certainly gets the Zilla name !

      Before the watch bug I felt something similar disgust about the Seiko Monster, how big, and ugly and so on... Then later I started to like it, and even buy a brand new 2nd gen (I suspect Rob's videos back then influenced me, in the 'wrong way' :D )
      But I really doubt any Rob video could change my mind on this abomination :D😅

    That's proper fugly. ..dial & bezel proportions look way off, sounds cheap and nasty, LHD, quartz, mineral crystal..No redeeming features I can see tbh. Sorry, to each their own tho 👍🏻👍🏻
