Chuck, you are truly an inspiration! I’m a full-time gig delivery driver for DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Instacart in Orlando. I’ve been doing this for six months now, and I’ve watched a lot of gig tubers out there, you’re certainly my favorite! I've learned to pause orders when you are out of the zone. Just think about it, of course they arent going to give you the best orders if you arent near the restaurants, its going to pick dashers that are close for the best customer experience. Its only going to give you offers that are being declined repeatedly. Pause and drive back to the zones!

i always text the customer before I drive off from the restaurant if it's a huge campus, hospital, etc. to give them time to reply before I get there.

Well, being in Alabama, as you know, our cities quickly turn rural, so there is rarely anything to pick up on the way back because there's no restaurants lol. Two days ago I stayed parked at chick Fila. I ran nothing but 4.50 and 5 dollar orders and none of them were more than 2 miles, I was so happy hahaha. The high money is long drives, no return orders etc. So I only used a gallon of gas during my 11 til 2:30 shift. If only each day could be so easy on my gas tank 😅.

Your main concern is the mileage verse tip because your biggest cost is the cost of running the car.

I hate seeing you stress over that Acceptance rate, you don't need top dasher or whatever to get $4 orders. Doordash knows when your right on the line and will absolutely send you the worst stuff as you get close to 70% knowing full well its how they can manipulate you into doing things not in your best interest. I've done thousands of orders, and that A.I. or whatever it is, records every offer I take or refuse. It knows if I am going to accept an order before even I do. It will send you $3 orders so your happy to get one for $5, its all a mind game. Schedule yourself ahead of time if you need to guarantee some hours. You seem like a very humble and decent person, I like watching your ride alongs, keep going.

One of the most frustrating places to pick up riders from or to deliver to here in Topeka is the VA (military veteran) campus. It is probably a good square mile of property with ONe!! address. People don't put what building number, etc, they are in or any details. But honestly, I don't think they realize they need to do that. But it is VERY frustrating and cuss worthy at times. lol
Its the same way in Montgomery. I LOVE and Respect our Veterans so much, but id almost rather chew broken glass than drive thru there. But I do, for them, especially after all they've done for us. But I totally agree!!!
Most from the VA are downtrodden , tired from the long waits , medical , elderly or just don't know . I try to be respectful .

In Canada we are told to use the cashier and not self checkout on our Shop and Deliver orders
I've just recently started seeing messages telling me that I can use self-checkout.
Maybe the additional pay for the DG shop shows as a separate amount in the earnings tab. That’s how it works with Spark. You’re going to feel spoiled when you start shopping with Spark as it shows the aisle, section AND the exact shelf location of each item. It’s a beautiful thing. @AtomicStateDelivery Walmart S&D _is_ the best, but not on Spark. Uber Eats pays better for some reason. They also pay better for WM curbside _and_ parcel deliveries. It don't make sense why they wouldn't just add the service fee they're paying Uber, to drivers on their _OWN_ platform.
@@maxi-me I know what you mean. I've had a Walmart order on UE that paid 81$ for 3 small grocery drop offs 7.6 miles. I get better pick up orders on UE then I get on Spark.

They didn't lie.. that added amount they are talking about is sent to you on the back end. Not on the actual dash.. so if look at where your money is deposited at the end of the dash, you should see it there.

What set up/camera do you use to film dashes? I’ve been wanting to start vlogging my dashes for a while now but I’m looking for a low budget set up.
I use a GoPro hero 11 black mini. I bet there will be some good black Friday deals on it. I've also recorded lots of my videos using nothing but my phone.

It's wild to me how different apps are more prevalent in different areas. I'm in Nashville and I get more consistent offers on Uber Eats.
I absolutely hate when people add things to their shopping order after I’ve accepted. For instance, twice in the last week, I’ve accepted Dollar General orders that have been less than 5 items at the time the offer was sent to me. I get to the store and one was then 12 items and the other one was 8 items. In the one that was 12 items, 2 of the added items were cases of water and another one was an 18 pack of Mt Dew. These additions made the order MUCH harder at delivery than what I accepted. The other order added one 12 pack of Dr Pepper, a gallon of milk, and a bottle of ketchup. That order wasn’t a huge deal, but I have respiratory issues so the first one did cause problems because I could no longer make the delivery with just one trip from my car to their door.

Chuck, I finally have a dash scheduled for Sunday for most of the day. 10am to 6pm. I will not multi-app. I am focusing only on DD that day. I will be accepting every order no matter what. My goal is to get 25 deliveries. If I do I'm supposed to get a $200 bonus if I manage to do 25 deliveries. Wish me luck. This is the first dash I've been able to do in about a month. I can never get on dd when I want to dash. I don't dash at night and that's usually the busy time. ugh. Like right now lol Friday night at 6:52pm
I wish I could get those cool promos but they haven’t been popping up for me. I used to get the ones that were $75 for 15 deliveries

@@DashingAcrossAmerica I did it! I ended up dashing 12 hours to get the 25 deliveries. I accepted every offer sent to me except one. I was to close to a drop off and I can't multi-task like that. lol. But I made $360!!

I’m a multi app driver myself. I love your attitude; how do you deal with rude customers or have you ever had a false report put up about you in app. I’m nice to everyone but people often who arnt tippers mess up my ratings with rating 4-1 for no apparent reason. It’s sad. It really depends on the market you’re in I’m sure. 🤷🏽♀️ I’m not changing my attitude though but I make more money insta cart in less time.
I keep trying to get on instacart. I haven't yet had a customer claim they didn't get their food but I have gotten a couple of inexplicable 1 star ratings.
make $121 in 2 hours yesterday with an ar i don’t care about, 15-25% goes up and down but doordash still decided to send me $20+ orders for short miles, i truly believe all that matters is your market, yes you will be favored with more orders being top dasher but that doesn’t always mean your getting banger orders, i will keep my ar low and decline pathetic orders until doordash shows me it isn’t worth it. So far tho it definitely is. $500+ in a week working about 16 hours

i would suggest not taking so many $5 offers for your time sake, at least in my market i always decline any orders that are $5 or below even if they are 1 mile, it’s just not worth your time and on top of that sometimes the food isn’t ready, i shoot for at least $7.50 or $8 on my low orders
That's basically how I treat Uber Eats, but in these small towns they're just aren't enough high-paying orders.
Lmao the other day i had a $7.25 to go across the street literally for mcdonalds and another one that was on same block as the cafe and one house away from it.... lmao so weird sometimes

Most "High Paying Orders" are reserved for new drivers. If there is no new driver in the area within 5-10 min of the order being placed, the 70% top dasher is next.

I said it before & I’m saying it again…when I do a “Shop & Pay” on Ubereats & a case(s) of water are on the list & it’s going to an apartment upstairs, I’ll call 📞 the customer after I arrive & tell them to come & help me. And if they give me some BS 🐂💩 excuse that they’re handicap, I’ll leave their order @ the bottom of their stairs, take a photo 📸 for Ubereats & the customer & I’m outta there 🚗💨💨. People that live in apartments are LAZY…especially the ones that live on the 3rd floor & up 😡. Not happening…I WILL NOT lug cases of water up to your unit. 😤

Meijer says do not use self checkout and I use it every time. If I had to wait in a cashier and long lines, I wouldn't shop unless it's great payout.

@@Geminei I really think it says not to use self checkout because so many dashers have forgot to scan the bar code 1st. I don't see how self check out or an employee could register different on app as long as the bar code is scanned. Other reason is probably dishonest dashers adding an item for themselves and not scanning the product, or adding it to customer order (if a larger order) and keeping it hoping customer doesn't see.

Very nice guy here,but not sure if getting what you deserve for your services and kindness,I feel your doing a disservice to yourself,if don't really need the money,still not good,your making all these cheapos day,taking everything that comes in,think how fast could've made well over $100 if they paid what suppose to ,for your services,if didn't get over $10 during all of that driving,just bits and pieces ,your vehicle probably took a beating,got to consider a lot,have to go up hills off onto gravel roads,no tips, probably took hrs to get $100 up,doordash help the customers get over there n drivers,if don't pay attention to things,will get taken very fast,will be losing more than gaining

Anyone else been getting add on orders right before you drop off an order lately? It's just started happening to me the last 2 days. I wouldn't mind but it's disrespectful because add on base pay drops 75 cents per order, that could be 10% give or take..
