This one sounds odd if we think he is telling us to bury ourselves in work. He is not. What I understand is to do the daily duties while at the same time putting into place all of his other teachings. Relax and release as you do your work. He has never said to renounce anything and just be “spiritual” in the new age sense. But he always says that if you are put in a dangerous position to defend your body, please do as we have a duty to. So we never stay in a job that abuses us in a physical way. He says, do your work and relax and release regardless of what comes up.

I am utterly confused: I have learned (and come to see) that to not sit with what's going on inside is the avoidance tendency of our ego, and that the practice was to progressively let go of resistance, avoid less and less and becoming able to feel, allow, etc more and more, shadow work essentially. I don't understand how what Michael is describing is not avoidance of what's going on inside...

Isn't confusion a sign of change, growth and letting go? Congratulations!

I think Mickey’s teachings basically agree with what you describe. He is saying to allow events, allow feelings and even to allow thoughts, however allow them from within your Seat of Self. Meaning don’t let the egoic mind take over your conscious awareness. Don’t let ego hijack your attention. When the egoic mind takes over, it represses the things it can’t handle and eventually causes more suffering.

I think Mickey emphasizes the importance of daily life. Let life guide you. Life will present you the situations you need to grow. He says that many people think meditation is most important, that they had to find the perfect Spiritual technique, they are looking, they are searching... Life will bring up your emotions... What is in you... Watch it... Handle it... And then you will grow. Don't look for something special. Daily "Problems" are best to grow...

And neither are Pentation team people doing karm yog. They aren’t. Mere action is happening no matter what. But yog happens only with seeking shiva embedding within actions. This is a conscious process and needs conscious pause approach Sorry Michael - You don’t know everything

This doesn’t make sense. Sounds like he’s supporting being a workaholic I was always doing doing doing and if I didn’t I felt “less than.” “Drives you to do it every day” sounds like being driven. That’s very Puritan. And bringing God into it is a construct. I love my work. I don’t have to “worry” it. I don’t want to be “occupied” -that’s an imprisonment.

I understand, I did not like how he put it in this video either. I had listened to his teachings a lot before, and this felt extreme and weird. I have come to understand that to learn to sit with your emotions without avoidance or distraction is crucial. Maybe this is what was bothering me: even though he wasn't saying to avoid what's going on inside, he was pretty hung up on distracting ourselves, which doesn't sound right to me. But maybe there are different teachings for different people, and maybe his teaching is more suited for people who are meant to do a lot. I know that I am meant to awaken in a more peaceful and calm way, I am more the Eckhart Tolle type 😊
