I love the references this book makes to Revelation. It's always been one of my favorite books in the Bible and having such a good song about it makes it a must-listen and a must-share song for me.

I think it’s a more subtle nod to the source material in Rev. 5 where the strong angel cries “who is worthy to take the book?” There’s a lot of emotion in this scene because John is wept much before the Lion of the tribe of Judah is declared worthy! Praise God! I sure hope we will see this first hand in eternity! I think probably so.
And the scroll was the land title to the earth that we people lost to Satan in the fall to sin. Jesus has redeemed it back for us - and himself with his blood.

not true in this song. It is a pet peeve of mine that popular Christian singers refuse to say the name of Jesus in their songs, but merely utter insider code words - "lamb" etc.
Almost as if they are ashamed of him. I will bet $10 that most people from another religion will have no idea just by looking at the lyrics, whom the "He" is in "Is He worthy?" and "He is". They could have easily said, "Jesus is Worthy", but did not.

I'm a stubborn man , but God uses that in me for His glory. No one will ever cast doubt in my heart about who Jesus is. I can be an argumentative , pain of a man at times (ask my wife) , but Jon the Baptist is the name many of my friends and work colleagues gave me , when I first came to faith in Christ in 2005. Whatever your walk with Jesus , make straight the path for His coming , never doubt His divinity.

I was scrolling through ROKU, stopped at TBN and saw this study on the Old Prophets....stop NOTE there are 12 minor prophets but it was the prophet HABAKKUK that was first on the study. Why? Study the cleansing of sin from the world. Stay faithful even in these days when darkness is so evident. We have a rescuer & He Is Worthy. God bless!

I have looked for this song for three years and finally found it yesterday. There is so much going on, so many more prophesies are being fulfilled and loose ends are being tied.
Lately, I have been feeling deeply troubled for lost souls and the world in general. I understand the brokeness. I understand the human desire for temporal satisfaction and acceptance. Truly, I do. But understanding this means I also know how broken it leaves you.
You will never be made whole by the hands of broken souls. It just is not going to happen.
The Lord has been putting this on my heart lately. And He has been so good to me in bringing deliverance from temporary pleasures.
We need to turn to Jesus in times of turmoil. Not alcohol, social media, obessions or even friends.... God truly is good and more than capable.
He truly is worthy of all the praise and glory.
I long dearly for the day when we sing before the Lord in utmost unison. The Lord bless you and keep you!

I have a lot of anxiety issues and it’s funny how this little song stopped all the anxiety and it’s intrusive thoughts for 4 minutes because guys Jesus can bring EVERYONE peace! This core wording of this song is taken from Revelation 5:1-14 where John the Revelator saw in a vision the Ancient One (God) seated on the throne with a scroll sealed with seven seals. The scroll is written about the fate of the God's people in the end times. When asked if there is anyone able to open the scroll, no one on earth, in heaven or under the earth is worthy to open it. John wept bitterly. But then he was told that the Lion of Judah, the Root of David (Jesus Christ) will open it with His blood to bring blessing, honor, and glory to all of us. He is WORTHY!
