Acting is a profession. These guys would have to promise reliable paying work for a lot of actors who aren't woke to move make the switch, simply because of job security. Not all movies that come out of hollywood are woke. Anyone who signs to a movie made by a Hollywood competitor, would immediately be black listed from Hollywood. I'd love to see Denzel Washington make the move, but none of his movies are woke. Another actor that could make the switch is Tom Cruise. Real anti-woke, Hollywood action stars. You could also include Sylvester Stallone in that list.

It's nice if you can promise job security, but most of the people who start their own production companies and other platforms started them with no such promise. Someone's got to have the vision to see the need, recognize that there's a market, and act on the courage of their convictions.
Sound of Freedom was such an excellent movie. I'm Hungarian and it wasn't available in my country until I stumbled on it on an Emirates flight. So grateful to have seen it and way to go for international expansion for you all talented people!

Sound of Freedom was the most Award-worthy film I have seen in years. Jim Caviezel has been robbed of 2 Oscars now.
God's Not Dead was also an excellent film.
During the OSCAR telecast, please rewatch and pay homage to SOUND OF FREEDOM, NEFARIOUS, THE SHIFT and other deserving films ignored by Hollywood.

Don't you think these guys need to set up their own awards? The "Oscars" have become - and may always have been - the system awarding the people who have 'obeyed'. The Oscars are worthless these days. Only the ma!nstream medla touts them. Who trusts the msm? Most people say the msm has lied to us. That means they can't be trusted. Actors, producers & directors of good movies (not necessarily religious ones; Sound of Freedom was not religious in nature) need an honest awards system for worthy actors and movies.
I know ALOT of people that don't watch Hollywood movies anyhow. THIS is EXACTLY what we want to see. Thank you to these guys for fighting the GOOD Fight. May Our Father bless them, and fascilitate their efforts.

I love this idea. There are a lot of Conservative actors out there that I’m sure would be apart of this. Would love to see this happen. Hollywood is a cesspool.
I haven’t been to a Hollywood movie in years ,BUT I went to Sound of Freedom ! I grew up when Hollywood still promoted America, God and MORALS !

I love to see it!! I'm a 24-year-old female, since I was about 10 I've always LOVED movie-making as an art. I've always wanted to be involved in the industry. Well, I met the love of my life and got married instead, and am setting up to soon be a homesteading stay at home wife and mother. And I'm very happy with that. But I will always follow this industry so closely, because I love it so much. Maybe someday when my kids are grown I'll do something to be a part of the filmmaking industry like this. I can dream! For now, I cheer people like the DW movie-makers and Kevin Sorbo on, and will support them financially all the way.

I believe God has directed me where He wants me to be -- and He's showing me that it will be a better use of MY time, in this particular phase of my life, to be a wife and mother who creates a haven for those I love. Not a filmmaker. And that's okay! Maybe someday. Or maybe He's called other people to do that work. :)
You may be able to join both as a committed housewife and mother(best path in life ever) and being creative in the vein of movie making by podcasting your life. Good, decent people living life to the fullest in the way life is meant to be lived. You're young, intelligent and passionate.
Life is bigger than the vast majority of people cannot comprehend. Don't be one of those people. You have a head start, I'll be sixty four in a week and I just realized how big life is about a year ago and embarked on an epic journey.

I tried to make horror films..I switched gears to family content..I refuse to make slasher films that stir up darkness just for a buck..so I just make stuff that's worthy for family
Distributors that I have seen include Salem Media, Pure Flix and Angel Studios (and of course DW). Told my wife after watching this that we should be more intentional about watching this kind of content.
Exactly this. We should each be very intentional with our entertainment dollars (or whatever currency is used in your country). We can't continue to pay to see the swill Hollywood puts out and then complain about the content and messaging being shoved in our faces. We each will answer to God for our spending. Support decent content so we will continue to see more of it! Cancel subscriptions to woke media and instead find media producing the type of content you want to see more of....subscribe to that, buy tickets, etc.
These guys are awesome. I hope they are successful, and I will do what I can to help. These little steps will help to change our world.

Platforms like the Daily Wire should branch out, like they did with Lady Ballers, and Bent Key, and start working with producers of quality content like Kevin, Ricky and the many others who are out there.
A kids division, a comedy division, a drama division, a documentary division ( you've already started this with What is a Woman and other great documentary films).
If those of you that have the platforms and the creativity get together, you would become a huge force to go against the woke Hollywood establishment and corporation like Disney or Netflix.
There are 10s of millions of us out here in viewer land that are craving real, quality, decent entertainment.

It's double-edged for me. I'm a Conservative voting, traditional, married mother of two and I'm black. Wedging black actors into characters and scenarios they obviously don't belong in is as unintentionally hilarious as it is grating. Here's the rub, I do want representation of wholesome, traditional, Christian black and ethnic people in media.Why, because I won't allow my children to watch the Left-wing, gay agenda, drivel that comes out of Hollywood. Nor will I allow them to listen to the misogynistic, amoral, violent, sex-driven, drug-fuelled noise that passes for music in the black community. This is why, for me, there's a need for representation, but of a particular type. Do you see what I'm getting at? 🙏🏾
Hallmark was gutless from the start. Simple writing on old method scripts, nothing courageuos ever came from Hallmark. It's like taking melatonin and taking a bet who falls asleep first.

My husband and I haven’t been out to a movie theater for years now. We don’t follow any of the comic book movie series, or Star Wars, and only occasionally rent at home. We like to be able to choose what we view, and haven’t had cable for a dozen or so years. The last movie we watched was Sound Of Freedom. And we have no problem paying/renting Christian-based movies and tv series. The American public needs to put their money where their mouths are and support these conservative movie-making endeavors so we can put Hollywood and the Disney types out of business.

I remember attending a producing seminar in 1999. There was an acquisitions executive from New Line/Fine Line there. She told this room of aspiring producers that if she had a family film, she could sell it to German television the next day.
She told this to a room of secular people. That’s because there has been such a dearth of that type of product.

Nefarious was amazing! Sound of Freedom was also very well done. It’s so nice to have an alternative to Hollywood. Years ago I enjoyed the awards shows for the gowns and style but they started sharing their opinions and I haven’t watched or missed it in so many years.

Klavan, I get the point you always make about entertainment reflecting real life. It doesn’t have to be overtly preachy, but we are starving for wholesome entertainment that has a good message and doesn’t drop a bunch of vulgarity and sleaze in it. I just watched Fiddler on the Roof again. It was full of entertainment, humor, character flaws, a good message (warning), and a lovable characters. Why on earth aren’t there more attempts at stories like this? We shouldn’t live in constant fear of F-bombs and sleaze being dropped in our living room by surprise when our kids are there. It’s like the only options are (1) Shows made for small children or (2) Shows that have sex, vulgarity, and things the kids can’t watch. WHERE IS THE IN-BETWEEN? Few and far between.
Oh, that is so funny, I just finished watching Fiddler On The Roof, too. I fell asleep during The Music Man and it came on automatically afterwards. Streaming on Tubi. A lot of Kevin's movies are on there too.
Fiddler on the roof is my favorite movie. Iv seen it so many times I probably know it by heart. Lol lol I used to watch it every year. I did see it last year. I love the music man too. Any musical movies from the 40’s to the 60’s.
Ricks statements about how movies have an insidious message was very poignant. He looked like he wanted to say more and was stopped. I would like to hear more.

I keep eying the recently closed theater in my town thinking that if movie theaters cut the solitary ties to the main Hollywood distributors so they can carry good independent films, that is a market that will only grow as this shift away from centralized stuff continues.

Right now everything is a remake, and all they can do is add filth and the ideas they were taught. Change education and the world will change. I’ve probably watched the original more than 20 times since it was played on TV in the mid 1980s. One of my all time favorites!
Without the full beard, he looks MUCH younger. Even in his more recent work, he still looks like a kid.
