  • Have you looked at a case of hydronephrosis in a kid with suspected vesicoureteric reflux or PUJ and wondered whether to call it mild, moderate, or severe, and how will you be sure the referring physician understands your terminology. The Society for Fetal Urology came up with the SFU grading for this purpose, which standardizes the description of hydronephrosis. Management of pediatric VUR is based on the SFU grade, and it is imperative that this gets reported appropriately. Understand the SFU grading and its use in this 20 min journal club by Dr Kamaxi Trivedi, under the guidance of Dr Akshay Baheti, Assistant Professor, Tata Memorial Hospital.
