100% agree with this tier list, played a bunch in RofG, moved to shipwrecked using the seaworthy and enjoyed it a lot. Finally entered hamlet on day 115 using the skyworthy and discovered its locked in aporkalypse and died trying to get to the calendar. all my hard work gone just like that. fk hamlet and the aporkalypse
They cooked so hard with hamlet, especially since I remember hearing it was all made out of leftovers from the DLCs. I love the multiple island idea so much
Honestly Shipwrecked was my first Don’t Starve Experience. I will always hold Shipwrecked close to my heart and tropical survival brings me more of a needed challenge compared to Vanilla/ROG.
I think Hamlet should be in habitable because the 3 seasons are very easy to deal with. Temperate is very chill. Humid can simply be dealt, with a pit hat and a umbrella . Lush is mild if you grew nettles and your base a little bit of man made turf. Managing the apocalypse is very quick I bet I could go to the calendar and come back in a day. Also once you blew your nightmare bird whistle your good. There is noting that can easily destroy your base. With all of those arguments this is why I think hamlet should be habitable or even paradise.
Ooo, fair, counterargument however! Humid season limits visibility severely even with a pith hat, and normally you aren't wearing armor if you are wearing a pith hat, so combat in humid season can be devastating for players not great at kiting. Allergies also aren't the only danger of lush season, If the player wants to travel then brambles can just be straight up annoying to deal with. Also think about the DLCs being compared to it. Shipwrecked for example poses almost no danger or annoyance with its seasons. mild, hurricane and monsoon can be literally treated as autumn 2.0 with the right equipment, and dry season is a less hot version of RoG summer when you start appeasing the volcano. Unless you stock up on infinite cowls and give up your backpack for armor, humid season will ALWAYS pose some sort of threat (no matter how minor) to your survival and just overall be a bother. With all that being said I could understand giving it habitable status for players who prepare properly, its just to me personally RoG is the better map for a long term base compared to hamlet.
Counter counter argument, humid season is free money. Kill the bugs, get the carapace, sell for 5 oinc each. You'll get absolutely loaded. Edit: I accidentally made 3 of these comments 👀
While shipwrecked is the most enjoyable late game, it is hard early game due to how spread out the resources are and the fact you need to boat around and can get yourself stuck on a resourceless island with nothing but limpets ans sand piles with nothing to do but waiting to die.
I guess this explains why I like shipwrecked, I like the easy stuff. Trying to figure out how to make a slanty shanty in shipwrecked without oincs. And if I build one will I need a deed of ownership to inhabit?
True, hamlet just sucks to have a long term base on thanks to humid, lush and aporkalypse lol, normally when I get the pig queens items its back to shipwrecked and I never turn back
Shipwrecked was hard when I didnt know about some of the items. But if you pay attention and have a spear gun or ranged weapon, suddenly food pops up on the screen every 4/5 seconds if youre at sea. Side note: Raining frogs can be an absolute death sentence no matter how late game you are. I have 2 houndius shootius on the entrance of my base with as much armor and weapons you want. 58 frogs... 58 frogs rained down in 90 seconds. The turret died and I lost my helmet and dark sword.
Yeah, Shipwrecked definitely seems intimidating but once you get a grasp of its mechanics it becomes very pleasant. 58 frogs?? geez, im glad frog rain is rare, I feel like thats more frogs than I had to deal with during the aporkalypse lol
For me I'm tied between hamlet and shipwrecked, hamlet cuz shops are undoubtedly the best thing to grace don't starve but shipwrecked has a better balance and map and a beautiful look to it
Not sure when my next live stream is, but I am hoping soon! been so busy reading/writing scripts! Worst case scenario I always make sure to get at-least one stream in every weekend :)
@@polarlotus You really getting into this! Some people have no idea how much work is involved. Make sure you take some time for yourself and get outside a bit. See you soon!
I found Shipwrecked hard, but then again, regular DS is hard for me. So I'm in awe that so many of you play this game effortlessly.

Nice to see single player Don't Starve still getting some love :)
My favorite version of Don’t starve!
They cooked so hard with hamlet, especially since I remember hearing it was all made out of leftovers from the DLCs. I love the multiple island idea so much
True! Hamlet was for sure the best DLC content wise, they literally added a whole economy system
@@polarlotus Sadly theres lots of unimplented stuff, like the civilized pigs being able to chop trees,or the citizens being able to fight etc.
Honestly Shipwrecked was my first Don’t Starve Experience.

the shipwrecked vibe can never be broken. its the best.
I honestly just call shipwrecked dont starve Philippines version, cus it fr just feels like it lol

I have yet to play solo DST so I have no judgement, but this video was well made and enjoyable to listen to.

Nope! you only need a deed to the pre-made slanty shanty in swinesbury, any playermade ones are automatically unlocked for you
Awesome ranking! I haven’t played DLC other than ROG myself but I can definitely see Hamlet difficult to live in.
If it wasn't for humid and lush season hamlet may have been habitable.. lol
Hamlet is difficult but I feel like if u are able to rush key to the city and exec hammer u will have such an easy time in hamlet

Finally some one know the value of don't starve single player ❤❤❤

Get the key to the city from the pig queen and you can bring all of the shops over to shipwrecked! :)
Brain of thought go brrr
Wasn't expecting a tier list ! But good job !
Thank you! :)
@@polarlotus :)
If I had to pick from the 3, I'd go ROG.... Shipwrecked close next...
I like the caves and just the beginning of the journey.
Shipwrecked is fosho imo the best dlc but monsoon is absolute hell 😭
Dry season would be the worst but coffee 💫
i agree with you but i also think shipwrecked is the hardest DLC. Very good video thank you
I am planning on getting one of these dlcs and i think shipwreck seems the most interesting
The DLCs are Very good and I love them but i prefer don't starve together. Btw awsome video:)
ngl if i was in shipwrecked my sanity would stay on top forever. the only issue i have is that no character can swim.
Super Epic!! lol...
How you doing? When's the next live? I'm bored!! Worked outside too much now I can barely move. Need something good to watch...

its gonna be shipwrecked im calling it
Did a robot make this script?
I wish. No it was a caffeine fueled bender at like 2AM
In my opinion. Dont starve ROG is better then shipwreck.
Why?
@@polarlotus it's easier in my opinion.
@@SinsterShadow_DC2 That is valid, I can see where there would be more appeal for reign of giants :)
