After over 60 years of watching the Blades travel up and down the leagues, I'm not disheartened by this season. We have some great young talent and a few quality players in the team but as a whole we weren't anywhere near ready to take on the Premier League this season. I'm more disheartened about what's happening with the Premier League. While we all want to win promotion from the Championship, can anyone say hand on heart that they enjoy the Premier League? The cheating by players, the bias decisions by officials on the pitch and by VAR, the constant rule changes to favour the big 6 when they already have so many advantages makes relegation much more palatable. The Championship is the best league in the world for real fans.
Like you I've followed the blades for 63 years now and I agree that the premiere league is not all it's cracked up to be but for financial reasons and the longevity of our club the premiere league is where we need to be. And maybe if the rules are distributed equally Manchester city , Newcastle and a few other cheating teams will be relegated and the premiere league can become the best and fairest league in the world 🤞 C'MON YOU BLADES 👏 💪 👏

Totally agree with you. I had a pint to celebrate getting back in the Championship.
As a life long Toon fan, I know what it feels like to have our team go down. Would rather have seen another team go down and you Blades stay up. Keep the faith lads and here's hoping you get back to the Premier League next season.

71 season Blade here. I 've seen some poor efforts from the Blades in my time, worst being the spineless wonders that took us into division 4. This season has been bad, our player retention and recruitment has been really poor with decisions made too late in the day to allow new players to get up to speed and integrate. Hecky and co had a squad bereft of pace and guile. It's a big step up into the Premier and you need luck on your side, not season ending injuries to your better players. It's been a bit better with Wilder but our squad has been lightweight. We have a massive rebuild ahead with yet again player retention and recruitment absolutely crucial and needs to be done early, not last. minute. Hopefully finances are resolved and we build around OUR young players and not rely on loans. I fear it could take 2 or 3 seasons to be able to challenge for the top again. Hey Ho, UTB

as a Newcastle fan I can honestly say Sheff United didn't deserve that yesterday. They completely showed us up in the first half and we could've had no complaints at going in at least 2 goals behind at half time. Once we got that second goal from Bruno you could almost see the confidence drain out of the Blades team. I must admit I felt uncomfortable in the second half as I felt like we were gonna smash them for 6, 7 or even 8 again. Their fans were a credit to their club in the Toon both before and after the game and to be honest I was a embarrassed with our PA System booming out Moving On Up as the sheff United fans and players consoled each other. We should've toned that right down IMO

Newcastle have one of the worst injury lists since the Premier League began, so if Sheff Utd were ever going to beat them, now was the time? Unfortunately they don’t have the squad quality and that’s been proven throughout this whole campaign, hopefully you can bounce straight back up?
The prem is boring. Not sour grapes but just not football,no tackling,stop start game. Embarrassing gamesmanship. Overpaid individuals who dont care about the club or fans. I as a fan of football for over 50 years can honestly say i dont enjoy anything about the modern game

Everyone keeps banging on about re-grouping. thats a load of shite in my opinion. Even Pep, if he was manager at the lane , couldn't change the situation there with the mind set of the club. No ambition since 1967, when they started to drift into oblivion after going down with Fulham.
You guys were happy to play in the top league but was not ready for its hardship. 35 games and only won 3🤔🧐
These interviews are pointless. Just clichés. The top and bottom of it is that the squad isn't good enough for the EPL. I just hope we don't get relegated next year.....

Disappointed. Embarrassing. Shame. Shameful. Frustrating. They finally got what they wanted. Congratulations to the management and those involved.
As a fan of the club, I am sad but also angry. If the team continue like that should be relegated to EFL League One!
