Thank you gods of aviation, 40 minutes of uninterrupted, jet fueled, snow covered, Matt-mentary of fun for the whole family, if they're not already snowed in
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Thanks a lot Stijn!!! I had to go past the 40min mark for this one! Glad you enjoyed it. If we ever get some real snow, rest assured I'll be out there to film it.
hey matt! its been a awhile since i commented, but once again you have made my mornings relaxing. catching up on a few weeks of your videos, thanks for theses great videos...
“He hasn’t even begun spraying yet, just extreme foreplay.” Why, Captain Cochran, I *DO* declare . . . ! [ One must pay strict attention to discern the gems shrouded in obfuscation. ]
Awesome video! Love the de-icing ops! Ironically, the first DL plane you saw to get de-iced (N835DN) was the exact 739ER that I was on a year and a half ago!
Watching your videos for the first time, I think! Your non-stop banter started out being very irritating, but gosh, your enthusiasm is extremely infectious. Banter, or not, your videos are fun... keep the fun coming. [sub'd]
You bet I did!!! I've been waiting for an opportunity like this for 2 winters now. I didn't get the snowstorm I wanted, but at least I got the ice. If another winter storm threatens us, I'll do it again too.
The 737 of Justice™ (as I call it) is actually a frequent visitor to my neck of the woods too, usually transporting prisoners to and from the widely acclaimed four star Federal Correctional Complex of Butner, in the small, unassuming town of Butner, NC. That particular fella was at RDU, ATL (as recorded by you), and OKC in a flurry of activity that day. Nice seeing our good friends from Greensboro, Swift Air, visiting the Jackson Maynard. This guy in particular was an ex-Piedmont bird, I believe.
Hey Matt would you ever consider coming to cvg after sou'wester starts service? It would be great for me and my other cvg spotters to spot with you. Also american is supposed to start sending shiny mcshines in the summer. And on Sunday's dhl (the original bare fare) is the busiest.
Matthew this is a warm day in Chicago in the winter. Jay filmed once when it was 20 with a windchill around zero. Snow is nothing unless it's a foot or more. My year old grandson sat through 5 minutes of your video clapping when you got excited over the deicer. He loves the planes now. You might become as good babysitter as Elmo and Cookie Monster.
Oh that doesn't surprise me knowing Jay. He's like me. Willing to brave every element to be out there during it. YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!! I keep your Grandson entertained?!!! That's AWESOME!!!! Probably the best compliment I've received in months!!!! Boy, I sure am glad I employed the "bleep myself" policy. Back in the ol days obscenities would've been flyin loudly
Yeah, snow forecast here Thursday.UK will come to a halt, that's for sure! You certainly have changeable weather then!Hey,such is life! Keep up the top work mate😎
You have no clue how many times my friend and I scream the things you say at school 😂 for example we scream about delta bellies outside when we see them, the tri hole song when we see them, + referencing the light feds
Matt. Please sir. In regards to delta 95 heavy. Why does the video no longer have the part where the pilot says we are dumping fuel? My recording still has it in it. But yours does not. Hmm.
Wow, another awesome video! Great little birthday present! :) But I must say, your version of a winter storm isn't much compared to what we get up here in Eastern Washington, we have a total of four inches of snow and more on the way. Those de-icing pads were quite crowded. Never seen such a packed pad.
Awww man, you aren't kidding. Since winter weather is extremely rare for us, it's always a big deal when even a little threatens us. We don't know how to drive in it or carry on day-to-day. May seem pathetic to others but its life down here. I've lived up where you are & done a lot of skiing in the cascades so I know you guys usually have some kind of precip falling from the sky. Thanks Blake!
Jealous. I didn't get jack diddley. But your video provided me with sufficient winter storm excitement to cheer me up. Now we gear up for mid- 70's. Can't complain though, last year I swear it didn't get below 60 around here...
Thanks mang!!! Yeah, down there in middle GA you guys probably just got a chilly rain. I was hoping for a snow dump but was satisfied w/the ice. Hopefully we'll get another shot at snow sometime this winter. If my schedule allows, I'll do the same thing
Swift Air comes to KBED, Bedford Hanscom AFB. It's actually closer that KBOS, but inconvient to get there, as the T has one bus only. There isn't much there though.
I'll be at the Renaissance Concourse this Saturday afternoon and night on the balcony with binoculars in one hand and beverage in the other. My GF loves staying there too. I can't think of a better combination.
Matt, your videos always make me chuckle and laugh. Do you think your reaction seeing A Delta belly will subside? I hope to see many more of your vids, you should get a few off springs of yours and teach them the ways so they can continue
Great vid again, as always. I've been bombarding you with comments, so I will back out of this one, but it will still be long. And you thought you had a winter storm?!?!?!? Boston is under a foot of snow right now, and other northeastern locations are worse. You might like it up here, as there are diversions from everything to everywhere, so you never know what you're gonna get (or not get). A workhorse just means that they work a lot. It's not an insult. You could use it to say, the AA MD-83 (is that it?) is a workhorse of a plane. Means they work a lot. That first B764 had one of the nicest touches I've ever seen! The best so far was an AirBerlin A330-200 delayed 2 hours 54 minutes landing RWY 4R at KBOS on Saturday, September 3rd, 2016. B734, right? Yep, you clarified it. Shut your mouth with the special liveries dammit! I can't get shit but British Oneworld up here since everything freaking stopped for January and half of the carriers to Boston aren't in alliances! And I get crap aircraft and you get nice ones. Come up here to experience the pain winter brings to Boston. There is so much more variety than ATL. But soon, you can experience it aboard jetBlue as the add ATL to their ATLas. And up in Boston, the Germans are the best, because we will have 2-4 flights a day and some in OneWorld, Star Alliance, Retro, and Sport liveries. That guy in short sleeves, like me, except I wear shorts in 20-degree weather when I can, for practice. It's how you get cold tolerant, and you have to be that to withstand winds, snow, and cold spotting at KBOS. What has a better take off spray? A B764 or an A333. Do they close schools for 2 inches of snow? They close for 2 feet or more up here. We have the equipment to deal with snow. (although the T doesn't). LGW Gatwick is mainly serviced internationally by Norwegian. KBOS gets Norwegian from LGW Sun., Mon., Wed., Fri., Tues., wed., and sun., from Pointe-a-Pitre and Fort-de-France as well. During the summer, we also get them from CPH and OSL. French for awesome=Genial. Turkish we do have in KBOS, thank god since they serve frikin everywhere in the USA. Never seen ice trees because there are snow trees here. DHL in KBOS are B752. Were the freighters delayed or on time? KL622 was supposed to leave at 2225.Left at 0151. It was a B762. Never heard of Cubana. Nice Kalitta sittin the background.
Yesssss it's Matt very hard to contain my excitement at this point!!! Thanks for another awesome video. Oh and a quick question, you have probably said this before but have you worked for an airline before?
Hey Matt, Did you notice everyone was rotating early? While there are definitely times that's indicative of the load, in this case it's likely they were all doing TOGA takeoffs. Most airlines don't allow flex (reduced thrust) takeoffs in icing conditions or contaminated runways. I guess we'll have to cut you a break since this ice/snow thing is a rarity at the Hart Maynard. Funny stuff as always. Cheers!
It's kind of weird me being from Pittsburgh and an inch of snow is noting but it's cool to just see the differences in regions like when the south gets an inch of snow the region just shuts down
Thanks Anthony! Yeah man, winter precipitation is extremely rare down here. As a result we don't know how to drive in it, or deal w/it on a day-to-day basis. Whenever the prospect of snow is in the forecast, it becomes the #1 local news story. It's probably alien behavior to you guys.
Thanks a lot Jeff!!! Oh I've absolutely thought about taking this abroad. Unfortunately a large travel budget is required & I don't really have one right now. I'll be in Vancouver this coming August so I guess that counts as another country. The farthest out I've been able to do it is Honolulu. Anyway, maybe one day someone will pay me to go do this! Thanks again!
Great question Rodney! Ya know I hadn't really thought about it. I'd just kinda got in the habit of going with an enthusiastic overreaction to Delta Belly thus far. I'll let that marinate and see if anything comes to mind. Thanks man!
The Renny hotel is the best. Every time we go i tell them I could go anywhere in the world and I choose them. Room service breakfast is da bomb. Sometimes you can get a weekend room for under $110. We live like King's there.
ABSOLUTELY!!! Live Like Kings! I couldn't have said it better myself! Unfortunately this time around the runway view rooms were booked solid so I had to scramble & keep on em until a cancellation freed the room up. Cost me $189, but well worth it. Thanks Doug!!
In case you haven’t realized, this channel is not meant to be a “professional” spotting channel. It’s supposed to be goofy, if this isn’t the stuff for you, than quietly move on to something else rather than pointlessly complaining.
Actually, its quite the opposite. Ya see, through the magic of modern editing I can take several hours of footage - the majority of which I am silent - and string them together to create the illusion that I talk to much. Fascinating huh?
Thank you gods of aviation, 40 minutes of uninterrupted, jet fueled, snow covered, Matt-mentary of fun for the whole family, if they're not already snowed in
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Thanks a lot Stijn!!! I had to go past the 40min mark for this one! Glad you enjoyed it. If we ever get some real snow, rest assured I'll be out there to film it.
11:20, You sir are officially the only airport spotter that films the news. LOL! Once again, great video!
Great as always Matt! Love to throw your videos up in the TV screen and forget all worries for 40 minutes or so.
Thank you sir!!!! I hope its a satisfactory 40+ min dose of brain candy for you.
hey matt! its been a awhile since i commented, but once again you have made my mornings relaxing. catching up on a few weeks of your videos, thanks for theses great videos...
BRRRRRRRRRROTATE! Nice job Matt! Thank you once again for allowing us to virtual planespot.
Thanks Thom!!
Your constant enjoyment and enthusiasm is a joy hear.
That 737-400 that transported prisoners is the official U.S. Department of Justice Prisoner and Alien transport plane
The commentary on that Qatar reverse thrust is killing me...lol. Also, I enjoyed the semi-silhouettes with the backlight were nice. Nice video.
time for the Qatar reverse thrust?
the commentary always make me laugh
Thank you Luke! Glad you enjoyed it!!
“He hasn’t even begun spraying yet, just extreme foreplay.”
Why, Captain Cochran, I *DO* declare . . . !

EXACTLY!!!!!!! I try to be subtle w/some of my gems. Thanks man!!!
Awesome video! Love the de-icing ops! Ironically, the first DL plane you saw to get de-iced (N835DN) was the exact 739ER that I was on a year and a half ago!

how did you come up with little dutch boy???????
also, where did the prison plane come from at 5:00?
Not sure of its origin or destination to be honest. We get those a couple of times a week. I've snagged em before but NEVER that close up
You rented the room for this video and the storm?! That awesome!! God I wish I had the opportunity like that!
You bet I did!!! I've been waiting for an opportunity like this for 2 winters now. I didn't get the snowstorm I wanted, but at least I got the ice. If another winter storm threatens us, I'll do it again too.
“he hasn’t even began spraying yet, this is extreme for-play” 😂😂😂😂😂
Hope all is well your way Matt. Looking forward to another year of great videos from you!
Thank you Rocky!!!!
Lovely again, always very entertaining ;)
Thank you DJ! I appreciate it!!
Great video!! Really miss these!
Why do you call the old SWA livery planes "blue locusts"?
Gotta slide on in (because of all the ice) to give this a huge wintery like! Excellent spotting video!
The 737 of Justice™ (as I call it) is actually a frequent visitor to my neck of the woods too, usually transporting prisoners to and from the widely acclaimed four star Federal Correctional Complex of Butner, in the small, unassuming town of Butner, NC. Took a break from your vids but idk why because this stuff is too good keep up the good work on making videos man
This is so entertaining. You're commentary is hilarious. You sound pretty young, and for some reason your voice reminds me of Deadpool lol
Hey Matt would you ever consider coming to cvg after sou'wester starts service? It would be great for me and my other cvg spotters to spot with you. Also american is supposed to start sending shiny mcshines in the summer. And on Sunday's dhl (the original bare fare) is the busiest.

Matt why does British Airway have a call sign of speed bird? No one can tell me.
Someone explain "timed out"
Yeah, snow forecast here Thursday.UK will come to a halt, that's for sure!

Absolutely man. Best hotel ever. Almost like it was built just for us

Top video Matt!Funny as usual!F***** freezing there innit?Blimey!
😨😨
Thanks Melvyn!! Oh it was frickin freezin. Curiously, its warm now. Like mid 60s. But such is life during wintertime in the south!
Lovely Coverage
Matt, your videos always make me chuckle and laugh. Do you think your reaction seeing A Delta belly will subside? I hope to see many more of your vids, you should get a few off springs of yours and teach them the ways so they can continue
Great video, wow that first american Airlines md80 looked very steep on takeoff.
Great vid again, as always. I've been bombarding you with comments, so I will back out of this one, but it will still be long. And you thought you had a winter storm?!?!?!? Why doesn't he get a tripod? It would boost the video quality so much!
Morris TV Because he .."tri podless, he is human tripod"
Yesssss it's Matt very hard to contain my excitement at this point!!! Thanks for another awesome video. Oh and a quick question, you have probably said this before but have you worked for an airline before?
Thanks man! Yes I have - I was a flight attendant w/ASA (Atlantic Southeast Airlines) from 2002-2004. Worked on Brasilias, ATR72s, CR2s & CR7s
Awesome thanks for the reply, as usual!
Hey Matt, Did you notice everyone was rotating early? While there are definitely times that's indicative of the load, in this case it's likely they were all doing TOGA takeoffs. That's a awesome video buddy
Thank you Eric!!
Cool like the snow storm Matt.
Thanks Yannis! I appreciate it, as always
Matt, how do you play Live ATC? Just your phone and a speaker I assume?
Awesome video mate :-)
1:01 in and it's gold. I'll watch your Edinburgh vid next but still.
23:18 people might be trying to sleep...😂
But instead they hear, "TRIHOLER TRIHOLER TRIIIIIIHOLER!" #howtosleep?
I need to stay in the renny next time I go to Atlanta
It's the best hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying at! Its like stadium seating at the airport
You earned yourself a sub! Great vid!
Hey. I think the DL A-330 around minute 40 was headed to Birmingham to pick up the Bama. Then take them to Tampa to get beat!!! :)
You are too funny and great pictures of our home airport ATL LOVE DELTA
It's kind of weird me being from Pittsburgh and an inch of snow is noting but it's cool to just see the differences in regions like when the south gets an inch of snow the region just shuts down

I love the commentary but the shaky footage (particularly of the BCRF) Is a bit of an issue!
45 degrees and rain is a wintry mix in the south.
Have you ever thought of doing this is another country. Also amazing vid👍👍👍👍
It has been almost two years since I have flown in some type of aircraft. I neeeeeeed to get in the air lol!!
My grandma is flying into atl from tpa on sat
When are you going to give us a "Delta Belly" song? I think Delta Bellies deserve their own song, and you audience wants to hear it.
Great question Rodney! Ya know I hadn't really thought about it. I'd just kinda got in the habit of going with an enthusiastic overreaction to Delta Belly thus far. I'll let that marinate and see if anything comes to mind. Thanks man!
amazing video
Thanks Keyshawn!
great video, i love to got to that hotel to go plane spotting to. I also have x plane 11 and i love to fly
Dude that hotel is just located perfectly I hope one day I will have chance to stay there/

You should get those gloves that have that stuff on the fingertips that allow you to use electronic devices while wearing them
I DID NOT KNOW THOSE EXISTED!!!!! I will most certainly be googlin' em & online shoppin for em in the next few minutes. Thanks Emily!
The prisoners on the plane reminded of Orange is the New Black
Fine town of Little Rock Arkansas. I live there!
I actually find this satisfying
Very enjoyable
Hey my birthday was on January 7th! I actually got to go to L.A mostly to plane spot and it was really fun.
Ps I'm a Dodgers fan :)
Oh NICE! Happy Birthday!
Matt Cochran Thanks man! My favorite part was that I got to get on the American Airlines 787-8 in first class! Great video as always!
More MD 80's please...

I'll be going to ATL in february
COOL! Hopefully the weather will be nice for ya!

At 26:35 I thought I accidentally broke something lol
8:49 Ahhhh I came
Childish at besr
It's amazing how a microphone can turn a full grown man into a complete moron. I had to watch this with the volume turned off.
In case you haven’t realized, this channel is not meant to be a “professional” spotting channel. It’s supposed to be goofy, if this isn’t the stuff for you, than quietly move on to something else rather than pointlessly complaining.
