What draws me to your videos is both of your genuineness and vulnerability. You are both wise beyond your years. It’s a gift to others that you are sharing this difficult story so others will benefit from your life’s lessons. Continue to be strong and be the wonderful people you are. You have much to offer the world!
I started following LEAW last year thinking it would be fun. Now I see the attraction wasn’t the fun, but the depth of character you two possess. Thank you for your courage and deep love of life.
“I am enough,” is probably the strongest statement to move forward. Thanks, Sara for sharing. Hold your head high and be proud of who you have always been.
You two are both such beautiful people. I'm not talking about physically (even though you are perhaps one of the most stunning couples in the world!) I'm talking about the beauty of your souls that comes through in every video. You love each other, you love your families and you love life. Keep doing what you're doing and congratulations on being brave enough to #speakupforlee
Sara, You have my total respect. My mother always said, everyone has a cross to bare... your inner beauty will defeat the monster and your outer beauty will help so many others. They say behind every incredible Man is a more incredible woman. Apparently, it works both ways! U2 are rocking RUclips! Love love love to you both!
Nor I sir! The Power she has to reveal, is to make it OK, so others can seek help. They are a very incredible couple and just an incredible example of being themselves and being human! I would help her or any one in any way...I was just complimenting her awesomeness, nothing else intended.
So wonderful of you to share that Sara, your message will be heard all over the world. I am actually going to share this video on my timeline to help other people both young and old that have self image problems... “You Are What You Are” on the outside, it’s whats on the inside that counts. If you have a problem please seek professional help there are so many resources out there. You are beautiful Sara I admire everything about you. It is so wonderful you have such a beautiful man by your side. God Bless You 💕🌺🌸🌷
I believe Sara has touched so many people who had been through this desease or similar situations, specially in their younger years. She has taken me emotionally , to my adolescence and I know what she felt , feeling so unhappy with the look of yourself . Suffering this disorders, people need, like Sara to have enough help and enough mind power to overcome the suffering . Sara you are a winner !!!!, and I cheer deeply for you , you knew to overcome your difficult years. You have been Lucky enough encountering the right people to your new life ! Bravo !!
I just saw this video and it brings back memories of what we went through with our daughter throughout high school. When she finally asked for help some medical professionals used the same approach as they did with you and that forced another problem as it did with you. Finally in her last year of high school, she got into a group program that was the right fit and she realized her "friends" were part of the problem so she distanced herself from them and focused on getting healthy. She went off to university with a new confidence in herself even though it still required work on her part. I am amazed to this day that she managed to get through both high school and university with marks in the high 90s while dealing with her eating disorder. I remember crying the day she tried her wedding gown on for the first fitting and she looked at herself in the mirror and said "damn I look good in this". At that point I knew she was going to be OK. That was over 20 years ago and like you she loves to cook, she loves to eat, she enjoys working out but doesn't get bent out of shape when she can't for some reason and she has taught her daughter to have a good body image. Sharing a story like this is difficult but you will help so many by doing so - if not the person suffering, maybe the person that loves them.
As someone who has yoyoed throughout my life from fat to thin, I know my mum had a huge part of my problem, she told me I needed to diet when I was 14, I look at pictures of myself then and I had a lovely figure, it took me until my late 50's to suddenly realise I just had to be me it didn't matter what others thought. I stopped dieting, ate when I was hungry, not when society dictated. I am slimmer now than I have been in 40 years. I realise how hard it is to cope with an eating disorder and your story really touched me. You look amazing and don't let anyone else tell you different xx
This brought tears and emotions. I am old enough to be your mother. You reminded me of when I was a young girl/woman and my battle with body dysmorphia. Luckily I found passions in my life, like you did with LEAW. My passions were skating, skiing and windsurfing. Those sports changed my focus and made me want to be strong and healthy. I never realized how it changed my life until I saw this. I never reflected on those dark times. I want you to know that when I first saw Sara at the beach in a bikini, I stopped the video and showed it to my husband of 28 years and said isn't she a beautiful work of art? Of course he agreed whole heartedly. Luca and Sara please never believe the hurtful things that people comment. They are just jealous and sad people. Send them love and know that for every one of them there are thousands of us who love you completely for who you are. #SpeakupforLee
I never comment, but your honesty and struggles hit me. Everyone at sometime has self doubt and struggles. Some are big. We can help each other by sharing. In that, there is hope. I wish you happiness in your journey. I think you know that you just helped thousands. Not even just eating disorders. You helped people ask for help. God bless.
I’m an 81 year old lady and so appreciate your honesty. You both are beautiful inside and out. This hits home to so many people especially young people. Children can be heartbreakingly cruel. The modern technologies can be also bad and good. Thank you so much for sharing!
Brava Sara! It's easy to share your life in RUclips when you're young and beautiful. But sitting in your living room and confessing your struggles and weaknesses (and proudness) like you did takes a lot of bravery. Much respect and admiration. And you Luca are the luckiest guy. Cherish her love and never let her go. Cheers from Patagonia, Argentina.
Thank you Sara! You are truly a wonderful person. You have won your battle and God only knows how many people you will help by sharing your story. Abundant blessings to you! ❤️
Luckiily, you have the right to remove people from your channel that are making negative comments that are unacceptable? This is so important. You have the right to wear what you want to wear and do what you want to do in your life! If you are not hurting anyone or saying anything negative to others, then you are allowed to be your natural selves. You are both so kind and adventure loving! Don’t take horrible comments personally. So lucky that you are both strong just remove those people, and continue to be your strong, happy selves! Thank you Sara for sharing your story! This is so important to help others as well! 🌟♥️
Wow, you never know a person’s story until they have the courage to discuss it. Hopefully this is all behind you now and we all continue to enjoy your story and journey. You definitely turned out to be one of the “beautiful people”. Continued success young lady.
Sara, I know it wasn’t easy. Thank you for sharing your story. We are so glad you have a grip on it at this point. Any addiction is a life long addiction and to keep the demons away isn’t always easy but with the support you have from Luca and your family you will continue to thrive. Our daughter went through very much the same thing with being a happy beautiful child but her (very heavy) dance teacher told her one day that if she lost a few pounds she would have a better center of gravity. That’s all it took. Within months she lost over 20 pounds and was barely eating. She is now 41 but she still controls everything that goes in her mouth. I pray neither of her children goes through it. Our daughter and granddaughters are beautiful and we love them so much. Thank you again for sharing this story. Be well, be safe, be strong, and don’t pay any attention to the trolls that leave negative comments. La vita e Bella.
Thank you for sharing you’re story Sara, weight is such an issue for for most of us at some stage in our lives especially during puberty when the hormones are making so many changes to our bodies ! It’s wonderful to see that you have come out the other side of this illnesses xx
Lee is surely sooooo proud of you from Heaven. This is EXACTLY what she poured her energy into. Speaking out and sharing to help someone else who might be suffering. So much love! ❤❤❤ #speakupforlee
That is how I found out about Lee, Sara spoke about Lee in her video weeks ago. I marathoned her video’s that night. I was so broken hearted about her. Your video is such a blessing to many who are struggling! We NEVER KNOW WHO NEEDS TO HEAR IT! Thank you again Sara and Luca. RIP Lee. ❤️🙏
My mother and sister had unhealthy relationships with food and body image. Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable to so many. You are strong and brave. x
I am so glad you shared your story! You are helping erase the stigma of mental illness and eating disorders. Recently, someone I follow on instagram also shared their anorexia story, and I would never have imagined they had a problem. Mental illness is not obvious, it is easy to hide, but is as real as any physical illness. Talking about this allows everyone suffering to know they are not alone and there is help and there is a way out. Thank you so much for being so brave and speaking up. It's wonderful you have such supportive people in your life. I wish you continued good health.
Thank you Sara and Luca for sharing and loving and supporting each other. After Lee passing away we need to acknowledge the truth about disorder of all kinds of hurts. My granddaughter is turming 8 in June. My heart broke this past Sunday hearing her say how unhappy she is with her body, She is overweight and the self hate was present. We as a family appreciate the truth of this video and will take care of her, it opened our eyes of what is happening .
Just from the title..I applaud you for speaking about this..A subject that affects many and is seldom spoken about.. Wishing you, and any others that suffer, all the best in life..
Sara, you are incredibly brave for sharing your story. Both my little Sister and I have suffered from eating disorders at different stages of our lives, and I've never heard anyone speak so honestly and eloquently about the reasons why eating disorders can start, and the way it affects the people that love you the most. You brought up so many emotions for me, and although that voice that tells you you're not good enough can still surface from time to time, I feel that we are much stronger for overcoming those fears, and we become far more empathetic people as a result. You're both beautiful people on an incredible journey, and I wish you all my best wishes and love for your future adventures ❤️
Is Luca always so cheerful and positive? Nothing seems to get him down in the slightest. Being close to someone with that much positivity must really help greatly when dealing with life's challenges.
Sara, I got a lump in my throat listening to your eating disorder ordeal; your story projected an emotion of beauty! You are the embodiment of true beauty, which is, that on the inside is reflected on the outside. Both you and Luca be safe always!
You have helped so many girls with your story. Going forward, your world is filled with discovery, love of self, love in your relationships and outright love for life. What a blessing you two are to humanity.
Dear Sara. Your courage to grow and your quiet strength in someone so relatively young is truly inspirational. I started looking at your vlogs to re-live our wonderful visit to Southern Italy, but I became a fan because of the substance, humility and kindness in both your characters. I always wondered how someone so beautiful on the outside could be so kind, caring, sensitive, humble, strong and compassionate on the inside, Sara. Now I know. What a journey and what an inspiration! I am humbled and I salute you! Thank you for sharing your story. You and Luca are an amazing combination and you bring out the best in each other and it is an honour to share a bit of your story. You two make each other better people and you make us strive to be better too! May you go from strength to strength! Bless you both!
Such a total lesson on not judging a book by its cover. You look so beautiful and seem so confident, Sara, that no one would EVER guess that you had been through this. Thank you for sharing. So brave. After the death of Lee, we should all be sharing these issues. You likely helped save someone!
I hate that you were bullied as a young girl and even on this channel. How anyone could see you and Luca as anything other than gorgeous people is beyond me. Your body is voluptuous and perfect. You are a woman and this is how women looked before society and cultural norms moved towards being only thin and flat. You are brave to talk about this.I’m so happy you’re well …I found you and Luca through Nicki Positano and you guys are delightful, warm and fun. Hold you head high, beautiful girl and keep shining.
I was introduced to your channel from following Trent & Allie when they were able to hang out with you on your incredible journey. I became hooked on your adventure and channel and at that moment I have watched and continue to watch each and every video. This one showed how you both are so incredibly beautiful people and how you compliment each other in so many ways. We all wish that we had a relationship as strong as yours and the support that you have for each other. Sara that was incredibly brave of you to share your story with the world because I believe that there are followers all over this great world we live in. I can only imagine the increase in followers after they view this video about a life truth. I couldn’t stop watching and have to admit it brought me to tears at the end. First I wanted to hug you both and then watching the final picture collage and video with the music was amazing. Thank you both for bringing us along
Leave Everything and Wander - what a great slogan. I love these two people and their journey on the road and home. Through their videos, we saw how they managed the challenges of being on the road, overcoming so many obstacles. Now at home, settling down, the barriers are internal, and how wonderful it is to fully understand yourself and be comfortable sharing your struggles, as we all have them. You both have gained so much more in life because of LEAW than you would have if you had stayed in the fashion industry. You are much better off, and we are all gaining from your life stories. Thank you for sharing.
Wow I respected you before and now I’m just in awe of your strength, courage and the insight when you realized you had to make a change. I’m glad you said eating disorders are a mental health issue and that they are real with such a high mortality rate. You are beautiful inside and out.
Thank you for sharing such an important and personal story. My 23 year old daughter has had anorexia for many years. She has gone to residential treatment but found it too traumatizing. Your experience has helped me to understand...God bless both of you.
Sara, What a beautiful story of courage and overcoming such pain. Your words brought back memories of my childhood when my family moved from Sicily to America. I to was bullied not for my weight, but because I was different. It makes you do crazy things trying to silence those voices. I tried my whole life to drown them out, but it only got worse. Depression, thoughts of suicide, loneliness all because I believed what was spoken about me. God gave me strength when I prayed, and I was able to forgive and to see myself the way he sees me. I longed to return to my country to those I loved, but the longer I was here the harder it got. I pray to return to my country one day, but for now I have the two of you to remind me of the beautiful people in Italy. The place where my heart will always be. ❤😘
Two our two heroes…..you are both so unbelievable….after seeing this video, on Wednesday, I just can’t believe the progress you have made Luca. How happy I and I know, all your friends , are so grateful and thankful for the fantastic progress you have made and will continue to make. You are such a positive person and this has to be the reason you are making such great progress. I know our prayers are being answered and will continue to be answered . 😊 God bless you Luca and your beautiful wife and baby girl. Luce. Keep up your spirit, as I know you will. Good luck with the surgery on Wednesday. Our prayers continue to be with you. My Love and good thoughts are with you and your loved ones.👍👍👍
Sara, thank you, greatly. I will not share at this time but I so relate to you. My love and prayers are with you. You and your Beautiful Family are very dear. Thank thank you for sharing. May God Bless You and Luca!!! You are and Luca are survivors. Your daughter is so beautiful, happy and lovely. Go forth you are truly a Strong Person💝
So glad your story has turned into a wonderful life with such an amazing husband who is so proud of you! Loved that when you were done with your hard story that Luca shows how proud of you he is! It is a joy to get to see how you support and enjoy each other! I love watching your adventures in life and your love for each other and your daughter!
Grazie, Sara, for bravely sharing your story. Especially in a language that is not your first language. Luca, I love how supportive you are of Sara. I appreciate both of you for sharing your life with all of us. ❤️
Thank you, Sara. I know this may be hard to believe, but you were an absolutely beautiful child. I’m so sorry for what you had to go through, but clearly it has given you a core of steel and a gusto for life that we all get to benefit from. Thank you for being vulnerable enough to share your story and I am sure that it will help many. I am thankful for the van life movement for being at the forefront right now in speaking about mental illness in the wake of Lea McMillan‘s passing. It is an essential topic as we continue to struggle with how the pandemic has affected us and how we proceed in whatever country we are from. I am from the United States, where there has been a spate of mass killings just like before the pandemic. As a schoolteacher, I worry what the next school year will be like. Mental illness, in all its various forms, is as important as physical illness. I am so thankful that taboo subjects are now being talked about openly. Hopefully, it will help those who are suffering from them, heal. You guys are my favorite RUclips channel. And it is because of how genuine you both are and how much you appreciate life. Thank you to the both of you for making this video! #speakupforlee
Sara you are so brave and so proud of you for sharing your story and fighting this disease. I know this will help other people battling with this disease! Sending much love to you and all who are and who have suffered!
Thank you Sara and Luca. I too have felt stuck in being in depression being overweight not being enough for someone special. I am trying to move ahead in my life. I recently moved over 400 miles just trying to start a new chapter. Thank you again. Much love
I had to compose myself and comment again for Luca. Your love for Sara ❤️ THAT is the most beautiful message also! It shows the truth that love is present and will come forward when we are ready to heal and share. You are safe space for Sara ❤️🤗
We need every one to tell there story. This is such an awful illness. Our children need as much support as possible, both boys and girls. I have witnessed this first hand. Keep strong, and thank you.💗
Sara, I am so proud of you; your bravery in sharing this very difficult part of your history. My daughter went through anorexia. Like you, she has come through it and is a strong proponent for awareness and advocacy. ❤️ So very glad you are here with us today to share your story. You are so accurate; this illness is born out of psychological issues. My daughter was a perfectionist and at the time, my relationship with her father was deteriorating. I think it was a way for her to control what she could control, and because she was very perfectionist she was able to do it with an astonishing degree of willpower. Luckily we did get good psychological support and she really benefitted from that.
Sara thank you so much for sharing your story. I myself is a 49 year old woman who still struggles with my anorexia nervosa. My daughter has it too. You are amazing, beautiful and make a difference in this world. I have never cried this much outside of therapy, but in a good and healthy way. Sending deep affection to you and yours.
We live in a world where society/companies profit from making people feel less than what they are worth, the biggest form of rebellion is self love. You are a rebellion leader Sara. Bravo!
Luca: You are a really lucky man. You have a wife who is truely beautiful, she shines from the inside. Sara; You have just shown you are one of the strongest most beautiful people on the planet. Keep strong and talking about the things no one ever talks about. It is hard, but your story is resonant with a lot of other disorders and you have been there so you know you can get through, there is life at the end. That is really important to share.Love and hugs to you both. A truely beautiful couple and you look good too! True beauty is on the inside!
Having followed you for a number of years, I didn't think that my respect for you (and Luca) could be any greater. I was wrong. Thank you for sharing your struggles. As a recovering alcoholic I could identify the overriding feeling of never being "enough", and of judging my "insides" verses everyone else's "outsides" . Thank you, thank you.
I couldn’t not leave a note.... you were are are such a beautiful girl, in and out! And such courage! Speak your peace baby girl! Say it loud and proud! WOW!
You’re absolutely right: you are not alone. I started to watch videos on your channel just recently. I (73 year old women) got fascinated with your adventures with your €1 house. I’m always impressed of how people change a old house into a nice livable place to be. You are both such wonderful and beautiful good looking young people with such an adorable sweet little girl. At my age I can enjoy watching you three. Everything looked almost too good to be real. But sometimes fairytales are real. But than getting back in time into your videos I was shocked about the difficult times you both had to deal with, the hospital episodes of Luca. It broke my heart. I realize that everyone is getting their share, their dark periods, in life. And now, tonight, I watched this video. It took me back to my young years with similar problems. I recognize the fight with the weight and the body, the feeling of not being good enough. I also got over it, but it took time and food is always in my mind. Dear Sara, you are so beautiful! You both are. It hurts me so much if a person can’t see their self in the mirror and wasting time with being obsessed that they are ugly, fat, stupid or whatever. Yes, I did that too. Looking back to all these years I realize how much time I wasted with this wrongly image of myself. I also was very good looking, same as you blond long hair and brown eyes and perfect shape. It’s so painful watching the photographs of myself, so pretty, but so unhappy. Many years are just past in fear of life. I don’t mind anymore that I’m insecure, this keeps me sharp and open minded to the world around me. I don’t have to be perfect, I’m really okay. I can’t get back the lost time. You both had your share in problems already, but I see two very bright intelligent young people who are able to cope with life. I wish you three all the best and keep on loving each other like you do. Because love is all that matters. Thank you for sharing all these private matters. This also helps others to deal with their struggles.
It breaks my heart you had to go through this. Bullying can do so much damage. I have so much respect for you and believe your courage and deep understanding of this will help someone today. You're such a beautiful soul. Kudos to Luca for his support and understanding. I believe sharing this gives it less power and helps to heal. Today is Mother's Day in the US. To all the mothers out there, Happy Mother's Day - and women, you're beautiful just as you are!
It took me until my 40s to be happy with my body, just the way it is. It's the only body I will ever have, and life is too short to care what others think of it. I'm just happy to be healthy and alive.
The thing I like most about Sara is her sincerity. She seems like a very genuine person. I wasted a lot of time worrying about my body and how it looked to others . After losing control of my body’s shape during pregnancy I had to face this and find all the other things about myself that I loved. It has taken some time and I still have times that I want to control my body again but now I get distracted by life and love and living and that gets less important to care about . You are both beautiful people inside and out! Thanks for sharing, some stories come at the perfect moment and you realize you are ready to face another part of yourself and level up. Thank you Sara . That was powerful for me in a way I did not expect.
I never would have guessed you dealt with this. You guys are so real, one of the things I love about you two. I'm sure this will help someone that may struggle with the same thing.
Sara, I cannot believe you had this issue> viewing you each week & thinking how gorgeous you are! I did not have Anorexia but weighed myself every day & finally stopped. Ive embraced my body at 54 years of age & as you & Luca, work in my garden & create projects for the soul... Love & Light Thank You Lady! Las Vegas Lisa
You are truly an incredible person Sara, thank you for sharing, I think it’s really important that people are aware of how devastating eating disorders are for both the person going through it and their family’s. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
It’s so sad that such a beautiful person, inside and out, ever has to feel this way. Thank God that you are doing better now. You’re very brave to share your story with the world. I hope that it helps others who are struggling. Love you both. ❤️🤗
Unfortunately we live in a sometimes cruel world with insensitive and critical people that are jealous and horrible to others, the young are very vulnerable as they are easily influenced and can be the most likely victims of these cruel jibes and bullying. Sara you are a goddess and beauty who has had the bottle to face the demons you had and improve your life for the better..... finding the love of a good and handsome fella like Luca is certainly a redeeming part of your life. To have the confidence to travel the world in a battered old camper and jump into unchartered adventures is testimony to your characters. Well done beautiful lady and I’m glad you’ve found your soulmate to enjoy your lives together. ❤️👍
watching this today..... so glad you have grown into the mature true beauty that you are.....and the great mommy and daddy you both are. Love heals most everything.
Sara you are very strong, lovely and smart. You have the right attitude to ignore ignorance. I love your channel. You both are so real. Keep being yourselves.
More proof that the back story behind the glamorous lifestyles of RUclipsrs is never what you think, and that as humans, we never know what other people may be going through. Sara, thank you for baring your soul to us, and to you Luca, for giving Sara the soft place to fall, to be able to tell you in the first place. I appreciate your comments about loving yourself, or at least accepting and respecting yourself. It took me until I was 40 that I truly began accepting and respecting myself, and I left my comfort zone. It took another decade to actually love myself. This decade, as I embark on retirement, I am planning to change my life yet again, by spending the next decade living van life, before I get too old and decrepit.
Okay, so...I should not have watched this as I was putting on makeup. Your heart is so kind. Keep spreading kindness and I understand being made fun of...you live free, love you, keep kind and be authentic. I already am rooting for you both so hard. Keep crushing it!
I think I suffer from depression. I'm always tired and don't do much per day. I drink lots of liquids every day and think of sad things. I don't have any family but a 20-year-old daughter who I don't talk to because I can't afford a phone. I can't picture killing myself because I know life will be better, someday Sara your extremely gorgeous, and Lucca is lucky to have you.
Very courageous to expose your challenges to the 77.5K subscribers. These problems with eating and depression are so unusual. It's almost like there's a chemical imbalance going on in the brain. You can be a beautiful young person, inside and out, but in your own mind, you aren't able to recognize the perfection of who you are. We are SO inspired with your healing of this challenge. You are still beautiful, in and out. We appreciate the loyalty and sincerity of Luca by your side. Thanks for sharing such a personal story.
Sara, you and Luca were already an inspiration to all of us who dream of just leaving everything and exploring the world, learning about other cultures and discovering new places, facing challenges, solving problems, learning about and testing our own strengths and abilities. Now that you have shared the story of your struggle, and let us witness once again the love, compassion, and respect that you two have for one another, and the way you support one another, I just could not be more impressed by you, or more profoundly affected. I'm 64 and still struggling with believing I'm enough. I think many people struggle with knowing we are enough, especially if, like me, we never meet someone to love, who loves us. Sharing your story is one more gift, among so many gifts, that you have given to all of us who are blessed to know you, even a little bit, even peripherally, electronically, and from so far away that our paths will likely never cross in person. Thank you, Sara. And thank you, Luca.
Thank you Sara for sharing your story. You are a very strong woman because of your struggles in life. I was on the starts of anorexia but was lucky enough to have someone to realize early on and got me to a dr and I stayed with them during this time. It is a subject that does need talking about along with all mental illness. Thank you
Your story is so moving that it brought me to tears. It takes courage, strength and love to open yourself up to the world and share such struggles. I believe that change is always possible and being kind to ourselves is the key. Let go, be kind and be free always!
Thank you for this. I am a former Anorexic - though the voices in my head never totally go away. What is really sad is that both family and friends supported my not eating and excessive exercise. I was given no support or resources for recovery - ever. We have a very unhealthy society.
Thank you for sharing...it takes courage to be vulnerable to not just one person but the public. This is a much larger problem than most people want to see. I too have an eating disorder and it always pops up under stress. Fortunately, the treatment is different today than what you experienced 20 years ago. Between what we see here in Hollywood for models of “normal” and magazines, it’s a very distorted image of women. Between Marilyn Monroe and Twiggy, things changed...😳. You are a wonderful role model to follow...acknowledging that none of us are perfect, that we are are own self in whatever body God gave us. Thanks for sharing and Luca you are a great role model for men as well supporting women in a caring and compassionate way. Kudos to you both!
Simply thank you...thank you for telling your truth to me. I struggle with depression and hearing others and their recovery stories motivate me everyday. I too am in mental health recovery and I live life each day grateful and to the fullest. Simply thank you. 💛
Thank you for sharing something so difficult and personal to help others! I've read that anorexia is one of the most difficult mental illnesses to overcome! I'm so happy you found the right treatment and the strength to come to the other side of this! I have severe anxiety and overeat for comfort almost every evening and it is difficult to control! Trying to stop this behavior is so hard! I know I'm hurting myself but so hard to change! You both are so positive and encouraging! Thank you for your videos!
This is for you Sara... 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 You have been so brave. This video is so inspirational. Those of us who are fortunate to be parents, we must be very concerned to give our children the inner strength and self confidence so they become resistant to their environment. Thanks for sharing your story.
Remember to that unhappy people want others to be unhappy too. They are commenting on you guys what their mental jails are. Ignore them, pray for them and know you are perfect just the way you are!!!!♥️♥️♥️
I'm on the opposite side of the food spectrum as you. 3 weeks ago I weighed 434. Yesterday at 10 days post op from bariatric surgery I was 425. I felt cheated that I only lost 9 lbs after being on a liquid diet for 2 whole weeks and 2 of those days no food or drink at all (surgery day and day after). I FELT like I should've lost 20lbs. But doctor explained to me that I might be retaining fluids because I hadn't been on my blood pressure meds, surgery, swelling, etc. He did tell me to start exercising. Which is hard for me, because i have a bad knee and back. But my son said he will dance with me, and after I can go in the pool swim with me. But I feel your pain. I was also bullied in school called the same names as you. Congratulations on overcoming your fears of food and body image. Your are beautiful and you DO matter. Love from Florida.
I couldn't be prouder of you, Sara. Your story sounds in a lot of ways, like my own struggle with alcohol when I was young. Like you say, that little voice is always there, but thankfully becomes very faint with time. Bless you, and Luca for loving you.
I still cannot believe some people are so rude as to make comments about our shapes and sizes. So glad you could rise above the rudeness and publish such enriching videos!
Your story was so important to those who are dealing with disorders & think they are alone. You are such a beautiful soul. All the best to you & Luca as you courageously adventure through this world. God bless you!
That was a beautiful thing that you did for others and sharing your story so that it may help others that don’t know how to get help or think that there is no hope. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there and feel vulnerable. There should be no shame in having a different body type or how you look. Everyone needs to be kind to others and know that what you say to others can be so negative that it could be detrimental to someone’s life. Cyber bullying can affect others to the point that suicide may happen. All lives matter and we are all have worth. ❤
Sara, you are a precious child of God❣️ I am so sorry for all you have been through. Luka is such a loving and gentle man. The two of you are a match made in Heaven. May God continue to bless you both and keep you in His loving care 🙏🏼👩🏼🤝👨🏻🙏🏼
Congratulations, Sara on having the courage to share your story. I know you have helped so many others who have suffered with eating disorders and I hope this gives you strength because it is true. The photos of you as a child are so cute, you were beautiful then and you are beautiful now. Your beauty comes from within as you are (and Luca too) so caring, considerate and compassionate. I just love watching your videos, you two are always so positive and happy and it is a pleasure to watch all your videos. My husband and I watch all your videos regularly every time they come out. I know you know this but the haters are usually just insecure themselves and saying mean things makes them feel better. Please don't ever give their mean comments any real estate in your head. I don't think that you need to find out what you are blocking out, if that information is supposed to be remembered you will remember it. Love, peace and light to you both!
💙 You’re both such amazing people with a depth of character that is incredibly admirable. Thank you for sharing this important story. Cyber bullying contributes to emotional and physical death. I was teased relentlessly in 6th grade. It shaped how I coped with my feelings of inadequacy. I recently posted on my channel that I wanted to lose weight, and quickly learned what a mistake that was to share. All of a sudden comments about my food choices and what I ‘should’ do were posted. The beautiful thing is that at 56 and more confident than ever, I see those types of comments as a reflection of those people, not of me. 💫🙌🙏💙 Keep being you. Our scars do make us who we are. Keep living your beautiful life 🌍🌎🌏
Just imagine the thousands of people you helped and gave courage by making that video.
you are an angel

What draws me to your videos is both of your genuineness and vulnerability. You are both wise beyond your years. It’s a gift to others that you are sharing this difficult story so others will benefit from your life’s lessons. Continue to be strong and be the wonderful people you are. You have much to offer the world!
I started following LEAW last year thinking it would be fun. Now I see the attraction wasn’t the fun, but the depth of character you two possess. Thank you for your courage and deep love of life.
Perfectly expressed my sentiments!
Mine too!🥰
same here ❤
“I am enough,” is probably the strongest statement to move forward.
Perfectly said!!
Ditto, Ditto, Ditto - you are both such beautiful souls!
Bellisimi!
That man loves you! What a treasure you both are for each other.
It wouldn't be the cross that I'd want her to bare!
My wife is 70 and she suffered as you have when she was young and overcame it as you have. You are both lovely people.
Beautifully said Tamara. Thank you.
God bless.
Sara, the first I heard of anorexia was the tragic story of Karen Carpenter. Thank God you have received the help you needed, you are an amazing lady!
Me too
Yes, my first thought was Karen Carpenter also. So sad we lost her lovely voice.
Cara Sara; you are profoundly beautiful inside and out! That sunshine that others saw in you as a child still permeates every part of you!
Lee came to my mind as well. God bless the sensitive souls who speak out. RIP sweet Lee.
❤️❤️
Is Luca always so cheerful and positive? Nothing seems to get him down in the slightest. Being close to someone with that much positivity must really help greatly when dealing with life's challenges.
I started watching this couple as they traveled thru north, central, and South America. They both gained my respect for being vulnerable.
I think she bought a clone and programed him to her liking lol only kidding
❤❤
Sara, I got a lump in my throat listening to your eating disorder ordeal; your story projected an emotion of beauty! You are the embodiment of true beauty, which is, that on the inside is reflected on the outside. Both you and Luca be safe always!
The truth shall set you free, they say! I commend you Sara. We all share human difficulties.🤕💕
You have helped so many girls with your story. Going forward, your world is filled with discovery, love of self, love in your relationships and outright love for life. What a blessing you two are to humanity.
she gave me a kick in my real end ....and I'm so thankful for that
What a special teacher. I was so moved when your teacher said if you can’t ask your parents for help you can ask me. ❤️
Remember, ,, for every person that does negative,, you opened the hearts of 10,00 flowers that shone brighter for seeing you xxx
Such bravery you have to share your battle with us. You open your soul to us when it would be easier not to. Peace and love to you, hermanita.
Having the courage to be THAT open and honest is not easy, nor is being that supportive and encouraging, so proud of both you!
Wow I respected you before and now I’m just in awe of your strength, courage and the insight when you realized you had to make a change. I’m glad you said eating disorders are a mental health issue and that they are real with such a high mortality rate. You are beautiful inside and out.
Bless you for sharing. I was lucky my anorexia only lasted 3 yrs. That was 30 yrs. ago, I was in my 30's and 95lbs. For me it was a control thing.
Thank you for sharing such an important and personal story. My 23 year old daughter has had anorexia for many years. She has gone to residential treatment but found it too traumatizing. Your experience has helped me to understand...God bless both of you.
Another good point - words matter. You never know what your words can do to someone. Report bullies, and shut them down.
“You are enough”. That says it all. Thank you for sharing your story.
The definition of courage is to do the very thing of which you are afraid. Your are a very courageous person Sarah.
💔❤️🩹❤️
Bravo!
So true...thanks, I will repeat these words
Luca: You are a really lucky man. You have a wife who is truely beautiful, she shines from the inside.
Sara; You have just shown you are one of the strongest most beautiful people on the planet. Keep strong and talking about the things no one ever talks about. It is hard, but your story is resonant with a lot of other disorders and you have been there so you know you can get through, there is life at the end. That is really important to share.Love and hugs to you both. A truely beautiful couple and you look good too! True beauty is on the inside!
The words of people speak so loudly, if only they can realize what destruction it causes.
We all have our downfalls.. we're human.. but we've all survived :)
Lots of love xox
How brave you are Sarah!!! You are a beautiful human being! Blessings !! 🙏🏻✨🌈🤗
I AM ENOUGH.Darling Sara, you are a true hero
“You are enough!” Thank you for your courage to share Sara! You are both beautiful people!
Sara is a survivor because she is a fighter. it is good that she broke free from the medical establishment. having Luca by her side is a big help.
Your vulnerability is your strength. I am so sorry you have suffered so much but you are turning lemons into lemonade. BRAVO
I never would have guessed you dealt with this. You guys are so real, one of the things I love about you two. I'm sure this will help someone that may struggle with the same thing.
Sara,
I cannot believe you had this issue> viewing you each week & thinking how gorgeous you are!
I did not have Anorexia but weighed myself every day & finally stopped.
Ive embraced my body at 54 years of age & as you & Luca, work in my garden & create projects for the soul...
Love & Light
Thank You Lady!

Words matter. You matter. Your message matters. Brave Sara❤️
Cara Sara, tu sei bellissima indietro e fuori. Brava. Grazie. ❤️
You have been so brave. This video is so inspirational. Those of us who are fortunate to be parents, we must be very concerned to give our children the inner strength and self confidence so they become resistant to their environment.
Thanks for sharing your story.
your a blessing ty for sharing this will help a lot of people ❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏
Remember to that unhappy people want others to be unhappy too.
Keep being you. Our scars do make us who we are. Keep living your beautiful life 🌍🌎🌏
👍❤ Pensavo che Sara fosse forte prima di questo video. Sembra che sia molto più forte di quanto immaginassi. Grazie Sara.
