With no authority whatsoever, i bestow upon thee the title of Master Instructor. This is the BEST tutorial on this trick on the internet. Your teaching style is beyond superb. Thank you!
played kendama for like 3 months in 2014, only knew how to land the cups, j stick, airplane, and light house. Bought one in the begining of 2022 again bc I missed it & now I know how to lunar, juggle to cups( 1-2 juggle& to spike sometimes ) bird, bird over valley. verry happy with this tutorial💪🏾💪🏾
I can't begin to describe how much this helped, I started out constantly dropping my dama, pulling the string taught in mid air and in general just spasing out because of my dexterity stat being 1 and the fact that I had never juggled anything besides thin veils in elementary school. I watched the sweets tutorial but (and that may well be on me for not being the brightest candle on the birthday cake) ended up just flailing around for hours, throwing my dama all over the place, not really improving in any way and getting so frustrated I almost just quit trying the trick. I decided to give it one last try, found this vid, did the exact things described here and managed to get a juggle to big cup on my 4th sesh of trying, about 1.5 / 2 hours all in all. amazing video, great explanations and exercises, even tips on where to take it from the basics. you, good sir, are criminally undersubbed! glad I got here, I'll be sure to stick around :D
Thank you SO much. This video was like hidden knowledge that I just COULD NOT grasp after watching countless videos. You leveled up my abilities and I appreciate you for sharing this!!
I watched this video around the time I got my first kendama last December just to get an idea for how to jug and was completely overwhelmed. Bout 5 months later I laced my first juggle big cup on break at work today. and a bit after laced juggle spike. Wanted to come back to this video to tell whoever is watching this that they got it, and to never give up. Work on it a few times a day even if it's like 3 attempts!! Much love everybody and good luck!! 🗡️ 🏀
Playing stringless definitely helped me. Getting that muscle memory first, instead of getting countless string mess ups and never actually getting repetitive optimized practice was my biggest mistake Great video man !!
Watched so many tutorials but none is better than this one. Just started to play kendama for three months and landed my first juggle with this video. Big big love from Taiwan ❤️
The toss ken, tap dama drill is what really brought this together for me. Excellent tutorial, I honestly my progress would be much slower on this trick.
Pleeease. I had them good when i started but now my brain cant process them for some reason and i end up just smashing the ken on my hand from the string or the tama wont do the earth turn. My brain just like seizes if i dont separate the tricks enough but if i separate them too much i dont have enough time
I've come back to this video 6 months after initially trying juggles, be t having finally got singles and been unable to get multiples, I needed help! Here goes nothing
Thank you do much for this video! I've NEVER been able to juggle ANYTHING before watching this video and following your directions exactly. Definitely takes time to practice and perfect it, but it's worth spending the time practicing. I finally landed it a little over a month ago and I have yet to land a new trick that filled me with as much happiness as when I landed my first juggle to big cup.
wow, this is an incredible tutorial. I love the inclusion of quantitative and qualitative analysis, and the way you really outline what good practice looks like. A lot of tutorials just say mechanically what happens, and the basic way to practice. But this goes the extra mile. Juggling kendama has always been my biggest roadblock, even more than stilt flips, and multiple lunar flips in different directions. I'll report back when i can nail the juggle :)
I've been struggling with my juggles for a long time, and this video has proved to be one of the most helpful tutorials out there- and it definitely boosted my confidence in landing this trick. Thank you :)
This really helped, it worked so well that while the vid was playing I got past 2 juggles and ended up doing three. I was previously working on 2 juggles and had got them once in a while. This video helped so much and I am glad I watched it.
amazong tutorial! will take a couple times to watch to understand completly. very well structured video - can't believe it's your first tutorial 😆 thanks alot, i've searched for a good juggling tutorial since i started playin kendama. never got the hang of it
thanks for this. this tutorial not only helps alleviating errors and breaking down the movements (+ practice), it also motivates and tells to stay mindful. amazing, well rounded, easy to follow. hats off
Hi Isaac! This by far the most helpful juggle tutorial I’ve ever watched!! You explained very clearly, so easy to understand. I have a question for you, how long does it take for you to learn juggle and how long does it take for a 14year-old kid to master this trick? I look forward to see you reply this, thank you so much!!
I have one problem in general with kendama, and that is the string wrapping around the ken, I have this for almost all tricks I'm able to do. Do you have anything that can help with this problem
yeah it's the worst man. takes so long to figure it out, i still struggle to this day, but as you grind tricks you will find you can do small techniques to stop the string from wrapping
My issue is “don’t know how to toss the tama”. The tama keep spining in the air, which makes it hard to spike. When I make the steps separated. I can control the tama, have a good toss and make it nearly still in the air. But after combined, same issue😔
Hey isaac, ive had juggle big cup down for a few months and multiples to big cup down as well pretty much every try. Ive been grinding pull up juggle spike for a few weeks and have landed maybe ten and maybe 8 were luck. My question is what were the tricks that you said you chased when you were learning juggle spike? I dont seem to be making much progress with my method and i dont wanna get the wrong muscle memory. Thanks dude!
Hey Liam! Sorry for the late response. Juggle spike is a GREAT trick to learn first, and one I most definitely struggled with. It seems so hard and it takes so long, but the practice will pay off, I promise. You can do spike juggle spike, or big cup juggle spike, really any of those will help you figure out how to control the tama. Juggle spike straight from the tama hanging works great too.
I can consistently big up juggle big up, but multiple juggles are impossible for me at this moment. My brain don't let me throw the Ken back up in the air after I catches it😢
more in depth than any other tutorials I could find.

Been waiting a year for a video like this.

This has been by far the best tutorial on juggling that I’ve seen it was super helpful I can almost do multiple juggles 10 times before going haywire.
This opened up a different perspective of how to learn a trick, thank you!
Thank you SO much. This video was like hidden knowledge that I just COULD NOT grasp after watching countless videos. You leveled up my abilities and I appreciate you for sharing this!!
I almost got this trick but my my spike just broke so i ordered a new Kendama and I can't wait to practice again! Thank you.

how to learn-watch this video or try until you’re mad enough at the string that you break your phone. got 30 yesterday:)

it probably took a year :) on and off
Good stuff mark. How many hours you think you put in?

yes i feel you. just get the juggling motions down and soon enough you will be able to have more control of the tama
his this is a question is there a certain string length you need mine is like 3 finger length is that too short?
The longer the string the easier to learn!
Heyyyy are you the guy from the Kendamanomics example vids?!
Hey isaac, ive had juggle big cup down for a few months and multiples to big cup down as well pretty much every try. 50 pullups is a lot tho. A lot harder than 50 pushups
I can consistently big up juggle big up, but multiple juggles are impossible for me at this moment. My brain don't let me throw the Ken back up in the air after I catches it😢
Hello, how long should be the string? Thank you.
im 12 with medium kendama trying to learn how to juggle the ball is heavy
i dont know why but i cant pull it too high the tana
I see so the secret to this trick is buy a lotus kendama
