I love this and can't wait to make it. I also love that you put the supplies and measurements for us. Printing the measurements & scoring on the screen is also helpful since I create while watching the video. Great videos, I just found you and am having a good time catching up on your creations. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for taking the time to make a tutorial! You explain everything so clearly. I really appreciate that you do this. I can't wait to make this album. Just ordered my supplies today.
Ginger, I have watched all of your videos this past week. I even made several of your vertical bag mini albums, I posted my finished one on you tube. It sure has been a blast make these because of your wonderful tutorials. I have also started to watch your new mini video series. I will be following along with that series too. Thank you,, I know how much work it takes to post projects and tutorials. Lorraine
I just love your tutorials. You make it so easy and explain in where I can understand it. I sure hope you do more cuz I will be here to do them. Thank you so much. Already on my second mini.
Thank you so much for doing this tutorial. I love it! I just did my first mini album from your last tutorial. Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us.
LOVE this mini! Your tutorial is very easy to follow and the written inclusion of all the measurements and supplies is so helpful. Can't wait to get started :-)
Hi!!! Love this album. I was looking for a album like this to use for my visit to the Holyland Experience and this is so perfect for it. Thanks for this tutorial and for all the others you have done. I really use them for inspiration when I'm block. ^_^
Amazing! Will save this & have to sit with all materials, doing it along with video.. I don't have a score board with measurements on (I know, who invented that right?) - I expect I can do long way around & actually measure with ruler then score? Tfs, off to part 2... :))
Hi Ginger, If at all possible can you show a detailed video on how to properly use the binder tool? I purchased the blue one from hobby lobby but when i go cinch it, mine dont come out proper. Why does the back cover go on backwards....just to hide the connectors? The cinching part is were i am all messed up. So the last few books, i just used the twist connector and bent the ends. I cant be the only person who cant figure this part out. Your a great teacher, thanks for all the videos.... Sally
love the tutorial so easy to follow the only thing that I cant get the right measurements for scoring the hinges can I get the measurements for scoring the hinges this will be my first mini album that im making thank you
Bit I would still need a spine and the hinges would be double as all 6 on same side...I love this style I'm doing fm scratch..just not sure where to get chipboard in store
Hi Ginger, i so love the way you do your tutorials. I'm pregnant with my first baby and I wanted to make a personalized mini album for him. I'm now collecting the materials that I will be needing. But I'm kind of wondering what brand of chipboard and solid cardstock you're using. Thank you so much.
hi ginger. i love your projects and they serve as inspiration to all my work. do you have any style for the pages other than this? i've also seen the book style pages of your large gatefold projects.
Aleck Reyes They aren’t necessarily specified as Gatefold but you can use any page style in a Gatefold project.. here’s a link to one of the page tutorials I have.. ruclips.net/video/mwkb1L6nyNI/видео.html
Hi Ginger i love your work, im new at this so im trying to get all my supplies together can you tell me where you get your scor tape and your chip board? And can you use other kind of material instead of the chip board like for example cereal boxes? Thanks
OK, Ginger...I need your suggestion. I just made this one and it turned out cute. I'm making an album per year for my niece. 1 year old is the gatefold sweet day, two and 3 was something else and I forgot, I'm on 4 and 5 and as the older she gets, the more pictures there are and the more interactive, the better. She takes them to school and loves all the flaps. She's 7 now so I want to be able to add journaling prompts to get her to start to write....she's the creative type too so this is up her alley. I want to stick with 6x6 because I've created magazine type files to hold each to keep them neat (and she puts them in her back pack and that's not good so the file helps to protect and contain). I need a 6x6 idea that allows good interaction and can hold more than the gatefold sweet day but that one was so cute. I'll run to hobby lobby after i have a plan.
Have you done the envelope mini? I did a tutorial on it. It's the Say Cheese mini album. Or the pocket page tutorial? That one is a series. The one I created with the Graphic 45 Twas the Night before Christmas is another one.. The Say Cheese is only 5-1/2x5-1/2. And I think the Christmas one is a little bigger than 6x6.. Sounds like a great idea!!
I did just do an envelope but it was an orta one (sorry...shhh...you're still my fav)...I'm not a huge fan of the envelope ones but they go to disney next summer so the say cheese one will be perfect for that year.... I found one though that you did. I am going to do your pocket page one...the very first thursday tutorial...your measurements are just a tad smaller but I'll do it at 6 instead of 5.5. I am going to do the gatefold one again for another friend. Her baby is only 4 months old but I thought a page for each month...6 pages, but with the front and back side counted that's a year with the inserts being journal spaces. I think that one is perfect to just showcase each month and then write a little about the milestones. I'm ready for new paper to come out. I am a huge echo park fan but nothing in the stores have changed up much. We shall see how it goes! :)
I meant to tell you...I made my own flairs and they come out so cute....you just get a package of the clay, roll it and you can get about 50 1.5" circles out of them...i bake then paint in the color I want....I've only done simple with it so far just out of laziness but the possibilities are endless....I get a marker and write the letter initial of their name but you could use a stamp etc...spray with a sealer and then coat with the mod podge 3d glass....So so so so so cute they are!
Hi Ginger, what brand/style decorative punch do you use in this video? Would a scallop scissor work? Sorry, I'm sure someone else probably already asked, but there are so many comments!
Hi Ginger - I'm thinking I'd like to make this album, but using 3/8" gussets on the hinges vs. the 1/4" you discuss. Will doing this change the size of the chipboard measurement for the piece that I'd be adhering the hinge to? I think your documented measurement is 2@6-1/4 x 1-3/4.
Hi Ginger, quick question, would I be able to make albums with this tutorial of yours and sell them online in my etsy shop? I don't mind if not, I just wanted to clarify with you before I go ahead and do it. Thanks :)
