Stunning. I had the '68 but I loved the "candlestick tailights" of the '69. My neighbor had a '69 convertible and on a summer night, watching them glide up the drive, top down, Dean Martin singing - was GLORIOUS.

@@ms.annthrope415 I'll take that over a small, cramped, hard-riding subcompact. A '69 Cadillac turns just fine for normal and even abnormal driving. I have owned several '60s and '70s Cadillacs and have never slid around the seat.

Mu uncle bought a new, gold 1969 Sedan de Ville and kept it pristine until his death 31 year later (with only 51,000 miles). I learned to drive in that car, it drove as if I was on a cloud, and it felt as spacious as a 2,000 sq ft home. Strong V8 and terrific memories.

Wow! That's a stunner. The paint is like glass. Love the old Caddys. I have a friend who (except for a couple of cars here and there) has always driven a Caddy. His first car was a '68 Calais sedan. He kinda made me a fan! I am on my fourth Caddy now. Great job finding quality cars! I'm impressed.

Yeah, The 1971 Oldsmobile 98, Buick Electra and the Cadillac DeVille WERE the largest of those models, And the FLEETWOOD versions of Cadillac would be 3" BIGGER than it's "C" body cousins. "Everyone" thinks that cars were "big" in the '50s, That's BS. Cars got to be the BIGGEEST thru the 1960s and 70s, until the '73 oil crisis. a 1971 Chevy Bel-Air is MUCH larger than a 1955 Chevrolet Bel-air.

The 69-70 Fleetwoods might be the best fleetwoods. Like the steel roof of the 60-special. The vast majority were broughams. One thing, the rear is riding high, it may have had the rear springs replaced with DeVille springs, a common malady as these fleetwoods soldiered through the 70s.

I know there was a conversion from R12 to R134A. Maybe a lot of these didn't have the conversion? I just don't know. Anyone ? Based on the lack of wear on brake and gas pedal's rubber, those miles appear to be accurate I would think.
