    個人的理解,這並不是限定于愛情的誘惑,更像是一個妖孽在召喚你放下人類的日程表,去享受哪怕一刻放縱的生命,因為那樣才算活過。這種誘惑是輕盈的,因為她要你超過肉體,超脫現實的考量。00的唱腔很東方,是夜上海的那種東方。西方人會不好理解為什麼這叫誘惑,但緊繃的從小被強調要按部就班當個正經人的東亞人就會被撩到,心靈上的。

    这首歌我自己最初听的感觉是他和她内心有自己的矜持和理想,渴望寻到一个能真正懂自己的灵魂伴侣。这种柔情和心里的躁动只会在那个对的人面前才会展现。这更多的是是一种精神上的撩拨和性感,并不是西式的sexy或者是纯粹的勾引。

    I think J here missed a very important point the word “itchy” have a sexual subtext to it.

  • @lir0513
    @lir0513 13 дней назад +1

    Ok I honestly think the two commentators were not doing a good job explaining the "itch" metaphor this song uses. In Chinese language there's a term called "心痒难耐“ translated directly as "the heart felt so itchy it's hard to endure." The term is used to describe someone who was lured/seduced mostly by lust but can also be by money, beautiful clothes, food, or other temptations. And that feeling is like your heart (or somewhere deep inside your body) feels that itchiness (or maybe say tickle) that arouses you and makes you want to do something, take some actions to ease, to appease that feeling. But you can't because that itchy feeling is so deep down inside you can't scratch it directly. And in the case of itchiness, like the mosquito bite, usually the more you scratch it, the itchier it will get and you'll want to scratch it harder, to a point you may even cause a little scratch wound because you lose control of your force. But at the moment you feel good because you quench that itchy feeling, even just temporarily. That's why the last two sentences sing "the more you think (about the desires), the more impatient you'll get, (just like) the more you scratch, the itchier you'll feel." I think the "itch" metaphor is used to represent all kinds of desires that arouse people to want to lose control and get on with it. And the song and the singer are advocating for letting go and succumbing to those desires. For a culture that emphasizes self-containment and oppression sexual desire, the song is seductive both because it describes that oppressed desires and the arousal of them with a subtle metaphor and because the singer purposefully uses the hyper-feminized, extremely tight, thin voice to create that ticklish feeling and to convey the decadent, seductive, yet a bit hard-to-endure vibe (of course, that's very "eastern" so may be hard for westerners to understand). So instead of thinking this is a vocal that convinces you with technique and strong emotion, I think of the voice more as an intentional staged act---but I agree, it's highly cultural-specific.

    To Rozette: Have you ever watched any Marilyn Monroe’s films?
    The title means tickling your heart, similar to and the song described those tempting moments and how pleasant it is just imaging what’s gonna happen when there is chemistry. Moreover, to us Chinese/Asians, the singer’s sigh-like breathy voice in this song sounds as slinky and seductive as Marilyn Monroe whispering in your ears.

    I have always liked the videos on your channel. For this reason, I would like to raise some questions about today's video. It is difficult to understand a song when the cultures of both sides are different. The title of the song reflected in the video is in Chinese. It means itching. I think the content of this song reflects the thoughts and behaviors of people who are bound by Eastern traditional culture. It is a temptation that lures people to let go of their restraints. It is not some strange disease...

    其實我覺得《癢》這首歌很有古代青樓的那種韻味,不是賣淫賣黃的那種,要知道古代文人多有去青樓作樂的風俗,裡面的青樓女子能歌善舞,可吟詩作賦,頗有才藝。這種妖嬈放在現代,就算是中國日本韓國,都肯定是做作的,所以不能直接翻譯成性感。加上如果不能理解歌詞,那就更加難體會這首歌的趣味了。

    It's not really meant to be a seductive song, it was designed more as a parody, using the seductive lyrics and coy tone to represent a woman's inner desires to be bolder and want more out of life.
    The real sexy Chinese songs are quite conventional, like certain Elva Hsiao's and Jolin Tsai's songs.

    Not sure if the host will get to see this message, and here it’s a song sang by the same artist using different part of the voice to achieve the two voices approach in the same song, and he is the name of the song - artist 黄龄, song 鸳鸯戏. It is somewhat hard to explain what traditional oriental seductiveness is to be translated into songs. For the forward part of the song may somewhat be irritating to what the western world perceived as seductive or sexy, However if you backtrack this to thousand years ago possibly this is how the virgins were trained to sound like in the bedroom with the emperor. Different strokes for different folks. Love your show bravo.🎉

    我覺得這集的討論甚至可以引申出橘老師對楊丞琳的看法。我們會說楊唱歌夾,技巧不足,可以不喜歡甚至討厭這種唱法,但我們應該不會說這樣唱歌「不對,不行」,頂多只會說「沒夾對味」,因為試圖用甜美聲線刻意這樣唱歌的人在華語樂壇一直都有,我們並不會從根本上否定這樣的聲線。但從橘那邊去評論,就會得到「這樣不行,這是錯誤的」這樣的評語…

    • @lial6628
      @lial6628 15 дней назад

      楊丞琳夾對味,而且很成功。從她的歌,人走紅的程度就知道。
      而老師當然唱歌技巧非常嫻熟,檢視歌手能力一流,但是亞洲華人不一定會去聽她唱歌。
      歌手不用全方位,全能力,看點和賣點才是成功關鍵,台灣女孩+甜心教主,兩者的音質必要夾中之夾,這是賣點,把賣點當缺點而改變唱歌方式,拿掉特色暴露弱處,怎麼紅。
      但老師不負責評論歌手為什麼會紅,她也無法了解亞洲受眾群的音樂文化背景。他評論楊丞琳的特色太過,會看的就看得出來,這不應該是批評,我們也知道楊的的歌迷非常多,綜合起來這不是一種稱讚嗎?「華人圈沒有人像妳那麼會夾,並且夾得超級成功」。

    东方人,尤其东亚地区,传统认为觉得做作和曲折是性感的,欲拒还迎一波三叹,必须要做作到极致才能看起来易碎但却勾魂;而西方人或许认为干嘛要这么戏精,自然直接带有些许攻击性才性感,这就是差异所在吧。。。

    It's a very interesting cultural collision. I want to talk about my comparative thoughts on Eastern (East Asian) aesthetics and Western (European and American) aesthetics. Classical Asian aesthetics, especially the aesthetics of sexual orientation, pursues childish beauty and sickly beauty, which can be seen in Japan's kawaii culture. This aesthetic pursues an immature, simple, weak and protected state. It is a male (male chauvinist) aesthetic of women. This is quite different from the Western pursuit of mature beauty, fullness and health. I think it is probably because the age of marriage and childbearing in ancient China was early, and men and women could get married at the age of thirteen or fourteen. At the same time, in East Asia, women's status as male vassals and assets also requires them to develop in a posture that pleases male aesthetics. Therefore, you will find how much East Asian women pay attention to skin care. They are eager to stay young or even keep a girlish look. With the development of neoliberalism and equal rights movements, European and American women have begun to enter factories in the era of industrial mass production and have begun to obtain a certain degree of equal opportunities in their careers with men. Therefore, as more independent people, women need to cope with their roles in society with mature postures and healthy bodies. I think these differences may be a perspective to interpret the differences in aesthetics between the East and the West. Of course, I want to say that the childish aesthetics of East Asia is not all about it. In fact, Eastern aesthetics are also becoming more diverse. Anita Mui is a good example. It’s just that the childish aesthetics has been passed down as a style because it has the genes of traditional culture.

    可能是“性感”的定義造成差異,這首表達的感覺比較像是“妖嬈”或是“騷”,而非性感

    如果翻译成 tickle 而不是itch, 会不会更好些?
